The Devil's Sweetheart

Without knowing, Leena taught him how to feel emptiness. She doesn't have to be a thousand miles away for Devin to miss her, his heart always skips a beat.

"Do you have to go now?" He carried her to the futon and positioned her on his lap placing hands on her lower back to keep her securely in place.

"Do you want me to stay?" Leena threw a question at him, her face melted at his bleak face.

"I wish you stay here permanently?" Devin was already thinking of ways to make her stay in his house solid. "You can teach me cooking if you stay here."

"Didn't you tell me that I am a terrible teacher?" Leena cast a sly glance at him.

"I will take that back." He whispered leaning forward to pull the little baby hair to cover her forehead. Her face was even cuter now, more like a baby.

"Even if you take that back, I am not staying," Leena refused promptly. Francy would break her legs if he knows that she was staying in a guy's house. She was scared that he would flare up in anger as he did in the past when he got to know about Ethan. Since she was in a hospital bed when the time he came to know about her relationship with Ethan, she was at least spared.

"Okay." Devin agreed instantly.

'If she is not ready to stay here, I will go and stay at her house. Correction, it's our house now.'

Leena blinked her eyes repeatedly. Then did he ask her to stay in his house for formality? Can't he ask me one more time?

Even if Leena knows that she would reject it, she still wants Devin to ask the question to grab his attention. While she was thinking, her conceptions broke, when her mobile buzzed again. She awkwardly glanced at him with puppy eyes.

"Fine." He sighed. "I will drop you home."

"No. I will go on my own." She declined.

"I am dropping you home and that's final," He declared leaving no room for discussions. "Stay here. I will go and get ready."

Leena nodded to wait for him when he went to get changed. Meanwhile, she began observing the elements in the house and she must say everything was clean and neat and the color of the house matched his attitude and mannerism. Within no time, she listened to the footsteps and glanced in the direction and her jaw dropped to the floor when she watched him walking down the stairs with a kingly aura. Even if he dresses shabbily one day, Leena felt that he would still stand out. His face value and confidence would never perish.

'It's ok Leena. We will give him a second position in charming looks because no one is still born to beat the first position.'

"Let's go." Devin cleared the distance putting a hand on her waist attempting to walk along with her but Leena shot his hand away.

"You are acting too clingy today." She walked out of the house with a blushed face. Although they have kissed multiple times, she is yet to get adjusted to the intimacy.

With a dejected mood, he followed behind her missing the chance to hold her for one last time. Even though Leena argued that she wanted to travel in her car, Devin did not let her step. It was a small hope that he can bring her back here in the name of the car at least.

"Do you know the addr_"

"Greenwyn village." Devin cut her off in the middle but panic marred on his face seeing her questioning look. "I didn't spy on you or ask someone to interrogate you. I checked your address only after we became business partners which happened yesterday."

"I didn't ask about it, idiot." Leena could discern his tensed face. Only then she understood, the torture she bestowed on him. She gently grabbed his hand and assured with a smile that she did not misunderstand him.

"Thank you." Having said that, he sped the accelerator.

After they reached the destination, Leena did not let him step down from the car. Since it was already evening, people were returning to their homes after work, and greenwyn village being a resident for many celebrities, there is a high chance that she would be spotted by someone when she walks along with Devin. After all, both are celebrities and it becomes juicy gossip to the media and there would be no privacy for both.

Right when Leena was about to get down, Devin pulled back by the wrist and asked. "Did you forgot something?"

"No." She looked at her sides and except for her purse, she did not bring anything.

"You forgot our goodbye kiss, sweetheart." He leaned forward and pressed his lips onto hers. Leena pulled back immediately thinking that he would start his marathon again.

"I will text you." She whispered and stepped out of the car swiftly earning a small chuckle from Devin.

Right when she was about to key in her passcode, Leena heard footsteps behind her and turned back to see a familiar face. "Uncle pumpkin!!"

She screamed seeing him for a long time. Clad in a three-piece slim fit half sleeve knee-length shorts, he paired with a baby pink jacket. She knew this style. It's a Korean style which got popular recently among the youth. Did he go to the office showing off his legs?

"Leena dear, how are you," Uncle Pumpkin asked in excitement.

"I am good and where did you go? I heard you were on a trip."

"Yes, sweetie. I went on a solo trip to Jeju Island." He exaggerated showing off the pink outfit.

Solo trip my foot. Jeju Island is a romantic spot. Did he think that I would believe him?

He must have masked uncle William and took his new manager so that he can bang him there. When she was in Seattle, William called up Leena to ask his whereabouts, and then she got to to know that he went on a trip without telling him and even the new manager is missing.

'I should tell uncle William that he is ditching him.He must be feeling sad.'

After having a conversation with him, she bid goodbye and entered her condo. Just when she got settled on a couch, her phone beeped. She pulled out her mobile and glanced at the notification. She blushed reading the message.

[My Deep-V-Diver: Did you reach home safely?]

[Yes, babylicious]

[My Deep-V-Diver: Can't you come up with some other name? It's so girly]

[Nah!! I love that name. Reese arrived. I will text you later.]

[My Deep-V-Diver: She is always here to disturb our sweet moments. I will call you tonight. Don't sleep early]

Her face turned crimson red thinking of talking with him again.

[Then I will wait for you. Bye]

Leena lay on her bed to rest for a while but it was interrupted when Reese rushed into her bedroom. "You have gone for one whole afternoon, Leena. Did you confess your feelings?"

"Yes. Frankly speaking, he proposed to me. No, I made him do it." With a slight twirl of her hair, she ranted about her achievement again.

"Finally the incredible man-hater is a relationship now." Reese jumped on Leena's bed, happy that Leena is back to her former self. For the past three days, she couldn't see her wretched state. Out of the blue Reese noticed something unusual on Leena's face and moved close towards her to examine it.

"W_hat?" Leena grabbed a pillow to shield her body. "I am not into girls_"

"Your lips are slightly bruised and swollen," Reese asked, the bruise evident for the whole world to see.

"Is it? it must be a mosquito bite." Leena smoothly lied. But the blush was evident on her face when she recalled how he bit her lip and came back to soothe the pain.

"Do you think I am a child to believe your stupid stories? You both kissed on the first day of your relationship?" Reese was shocked that Leena allowed him to kiss her on the first day which was very unusual of her when she knew about Leena's relationship with Ethan.

"I_I_ we_ you shouldn't ask all those kinds of things."

Leena threw a pillow onto her head.

"Woah!! I didn't think Devin is so passionate. He must have a lot of experience." Reese clapped her hands and thought of asking how he kissed for future reference.

"Experience?" Leena jumped with a start. "He did not love anyone in the past. You know that he is not involved in any scandal right except that Emily Harper which he cleared already."

"Well, he might not have loved anyone, but he has to tend to his pleasures right?" Reese added. "Your bruised lips are a sign of passionate kissing which is a sign that he is a good kisser. So, he must have experience with women."

Watching Leena's dazed look, Reese reassured her. "Don't worry, Leena. It's common to have physical affairs and it's all in the past. By the way, it's good to have a little sexual experience."

"Have a good rest. I convinced Will that we will be arriving tomorrow since it's a weekend." Having said that, Reese walked out of the room leaving Leena in frustration.

Carrot was sleeping in the bed next to Leena. Although her body was present, her mind was drifting to Reese's words.

"He has cited that he didn't like anyone in the past. But he did not talk about his affairs. Did he had that kind of affairs?" When it comes to Devin, Leena throws every logic out of the window. She wanted him for himself. She could ask him about his affairs, but he would get hurt again.

"I don't want to talk about another woman. It's already happened in the past.." She convinced her heavy heart and drifted to sleep.
