Once again, when Li Qing felt like her whole world was going to collapse, Nan Xukun appeared.

Li Qing actually sent him a message once in a while without expecting anything. She just wanted to leave a mark in Nan Xukun's memory, to remind him that someone named Li Qing existed in this world. Never even in her wildest dream would she guess that Nan Xukun would really reply one day!

Li Qing recalled how she felt back then. It was miraculous, as if all of her sadness, depression and hatred faded away with that one sentence. The dark fog in her heart dispersed too. She even had the notion that she was exchanging all of her luck just to have Nan Xukun notice her. If so, then she would gladly endure through the hardship.

As she expected, Nan Xukun was so kind, gentle and considerate. Even if he only replied once in a while, Li Qing was immensely satisfied already.

Li Qing was filled with happiness, yearning and grief. She had always felt that Nan Xukun was out of her reach. But with this, it was like she was a step closer to his heart. A twisted thought formed in her mind. If she had more power, wealth and glory, would Nan Xukun consider her?

He didn't even consider girls like Ruo Tingran and her gang, how could he see Li Qing?

She looked at the beautiful and elegant Ruo Tingran, then compared it with herself. The more she thought about it, the more unsatisfied she became. Li Qing didn't receive any answer after a few minutes. After she was sure that Ruo Tingran would reject the offer, she suddenly sighed. "Fine, don't regret it."

Don't regret it, she said. Li Qing had already regretted the day she was born in the world. Someone who had nothing didn't have to fear losing. Li Qing was the perfect example of that. By joining Ruo Tingran's group, she tagged along in parties and gatherings, and the times she met Nan Xukun increased exponentially. She made a profitable investment by joining Ruo Tingran's group albeit how she hated each of them.

Nan Xukun. Nan Xukun. Her eyes only had him. Only he could save her now.

"Hey, girls. This is something I got from Young Master Nan." Qu Nanchi giggled, her face blushing as she took out some pills. "It's a vitamin that can boost our brain."

Li Qing was repulsed by Qu Nanchi, but she couldn't ignore her when it was Nan Xukun she was talking about. She scanned Qu Nanchi's face in suspicion, trying to spot any deceit but found none. She lifted her head to Nan Xukun's direction and coincidentally, their eyes met and the attractive boy in black leather jacket gave Li Qing a lethal smile that made her dizzy.

Holy, Nan Xukun just smiled at me!

She heard herself talk, "Give it to me." If this could make her get closer to Nan Xukun, then she would do anything!

The pills were proven useful. Li Qing felt as if she was reborn. She was bolder, more confident and smarter. The number of messages Nan Xukun sent her increased marginally. Even the problems which she had difficulty catching up on could be easily solved with the help of the vitamin.

The pills were expensive as hell, and this was where the money from the villa came in. Li Qing consumed more and more, and when she found out it was an illegal drug, she had become too dependent on it.

At that time, Li Qing was in a state of intoxication and couldn't care less. Why should she care what it was? Even if it was illegal drug or lethal poison, as long as it was what Nan Xukun gave her, she would gladly consume it.

With every pill she ate, the closer she felt to Nan Xukun. She even felt like Nan Xukun had been giving her glances once in a while, which made her blush shyly. Li Qing started to make excuses for herself. Nan Xukun must have been deceived. He didn't know how repulsive and ugly Qu Nanchi was, all he could see was her beautiful exterior. It was all Qu Nanchi's fault for being such a slut!

After knowing when Qu Nanchi was going to confess, Li Qing's mind brewed another crazy plan. Nan Xukun could only have her and her alone! She wouldn't let Qu Nanchi confess, never!

She received a phone call from a hidden number on that certain day. There weren't many people who knew her number and almost all of them were in her contact. An almost impossible guess popped up in Li Qing's mind and her hands trembled in excitement as she accepted the call. "H—Hello? Is that you…Young Master Nan?"

She wouldn't have guessed that the phone call would lead to her death. If…If she hadn't accepted the call that day, would everything be different now? Alas, it was no use crying over spilt milk. 

She went there, to Moonlight Pavilion, to receive nothing but a death verdict.
