Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

The moment she said these three words Jackson's heart leapt up for joy. His happiness knew no bounds. Although he was so happy he tried to test her again. He acted as though he did not hear her and took another step further.

"I said I am sorry. Won't you forgive me this once?" The desperate Jasmine said without giving a damn about the weird gazes directed at her. The moment she saw him turn around and walk in her direction, her heart began beating normally.

"And what are you sorry about?" Jackson said as he sat back on his previous seat.

"Don't you even know what you are apologising for?" Jackson asked when she did not talk.

"I am sorry for hurting your feelings, that was very mean of me. And I am also apologising for causing you so much trouble these past days I am sure this was one of the reasons you avoided me," Jasmine said sounding sincerely apologetic.

"And who says I was angry at you because of the news which made one of my wishes come true?" Jackson asked.

"If you were not angry at me because of that then...,"

"Let's talk in the car," Jackson said as he stood up while holding onto her hand. Jasmine raised her gaze and stare at him when she saw that he did not let go of her hand.

"Are you sure you want to hold my hand while we walk out? I don't mind being called all manner of despicable names but I don't think those names suit you," Jasmine said standing up from the chair.

"I have already been called those names so why should I bother if they add more to the list?" Jackson said as he began walking not letting go of her hand.

"Since you don't mind then let us be the villains," Jasmine said as she put on her bewitching smile to piss off those throwing angry gazes at them.

When they were both seated in his car, Jasmine turned and stare at him.

"I know I am very handsome but I advise that you don't stare too much since you will fall madly in love with me," Jackson said as he brought his gaze to her face.

"Since when have you become so narcissistic? That part belongs to me so why did you steal it?" Jasmine asked in a playful tone.

"My future woman is shameless, I need to be like her or even surpass her. I will end up suffering if I don't do this," Jackson said as he waited to see what her reaction will be. He was so relieved when he saw that his bold declaration did not get her furious.

"You said the video that circulated about the two of us wasn't the reason you were upset with me then what was your real reason?" Jasmine changed the topic within the blink of an eye.

"How about you discover the reason by yourself?" Jackson said as he winked at her.

Yes, he was angry with her for saying those hurtful words to him but he was also very worried about her when the video went viral. What she did not know was that he was so relieved when she called him the day he hung up the call on her.

After speaking so harshly to her, he had planned to call her later that day but a crazy idea pops into his head.

Absence makes the heart grows fonder. This is what an adage says so since she says she doesn't have feelings for me why don't I use this opportunity to make her realise those hidden feelings residing inside of her heart for me?

This is the idea that came into his head. This past week has been the longest week for him. Although it was merely a week in the eyes of others this one week felt like a thousand years to him. It was long and tortuous. Staying away from her for such a long time felt like hell.

"You are being stingy with your answer," Jasmine replied. The two continued talking for a long time. Time passed by without them knowing it.

Actually, the truth was that none of them wanted to part ways that is why they kept on talking and teasing each other.

"So how about I drop you back at home?" Jackson asked sounding slightly nervous. He knew that there was a possibility she might reject his offer since she came with her car.

"Why not?" Jasmine said as she quickly strap the seatbelt.

"What about your car?" Jackson asked curiously.

"My driver will pick it up later," Jasmine said seriously. Seeing that there was nothing to worry about Jackson ignited the car and immediately zoomed off.

When he reached her home, Jasmine was not in a rush to get out of his car.

"So...,"

"Let's go out on a date tomorrow," Jackson said before she could say what she had in mind. Jasmine raised her gaze and stare at his face when she heard his words.

"We are not in a relationship so even though we go out it is not considered a date...,"

"Then let me court you. You said you don't like me but I believe that will change when we get to know each other more so let me court you. You will decide whether or not to become my woman after then," Jackson proposed in a calm tone. He silently prayed that she will not turn down his proposal.

"Isn't this too sudden?" Jasmine asked curiously.

"I have waited for close to a year for this moment so how is it considered sudden?" Jackson blurted out without thinking.

"You have waited for close to a year, how is that so? Hasn't it been only about five months since we met so how is that even close to a year?" Jasmine asked out of confusion.

"I will tell you what it means the day you accept my proposal so remember to ask me this same question then," Jackson said not disclosing much.

"Why are you so confident that I will fall in love with you?" Jasmine asked anxiously.
