Almighty Summoner System

Seeing her brazen actions, Eva instantly erupted as she growled madly in front of Joana's face. 

Pak! Pak!

Two tiny insect hands pasted themselves on Joana'a cheek as Eva slapped her without any warning. 

Joana was taken by surprise, the Hairless Cat had its eyes wide open in shock while Ban was also taken aback by two reasons. 

One, he was taken aback by Joana's action of hugging him suddenly and second, he was also taken aback by Eva's response to her. 

He definitely saw Joana closing in but maybe due to their speed difference, he was not able to react in time. 

Joana was also surprised by her sudden actions and at the same time, she was also surprised that Eva was able to land a hit on her face. Although it did not hurt her the slightest, she still has her pride as a Gold Rank Adventurer. 

Her brows knitted in displeasure and just as she was about to get angry at the little Monster, she suddenly heard 'Leon's' displeased voice.

"Get your hands off of me!"

Joana immediately retracted her hand as she took three steps back. 

'What am I doing? Why did I act hastily?I had plans but...' Joana thought as she stared down nervously. 

"I'm sorry for my sudden actions Mr. Leon, I don't know how to explain myself but please forgive me this time!" She said while bowing her head halfway to the ground. 

Ban ignored her and instead, he turned her head towards Eva who was still fuming in anger while staring at Joana. Her four insect fists were clasped and raised in the air as if she was prepared to fight at any given moment. 

"What did you do that for, little One?" Ban stared at her, confused by her actions. 

Eva heard him and after noticing the tone of his voice, she immediately made strange movements in the air while murmuring in her own language as if implying something. 

Grrr! Grrr! Grrr!

Ban tilted his head but no matter what, he just could not understand what she's trying to say this time. He recalled the talking Beast, Elder Red-Panda, and just wished that Eva would also be able to talk in the future. 

Eva kept on waving her four arms while pointing at Joana and Ban from time to time and after seeing that Ban still did not get it, she also had the same wish as that of Ban. 

Eva averted her gaze as she finally decided to stop 'explaining' things after realizing that it was not going anywhere. She turned her back towards Ban before crossing all of her four arms together in front of her chest.

Ban frowned at Eva's attitude but he chose to ignore her for now. He turned towards Joana and said, "I don't know what you're trying to do, but you don't need to hug me for it right?" 

Although Ban doesn't know that much regarding the relationship between a man and woman, and he mostly just relied on the chatters he heard from the Adventurers, he does still know that aside from using hug as a form of greeting, others would also use it to show their affection towards their significant other. 

He knew that Joana did not do it for greeting and he also thought that it would be unreasonable if she hugged him to show her affection. After all, they just met yesterday and he thought that developing affection in that short amount of time was unheard of. 

According to what the Adventurers said, affections are developed by two people of the opposite gender, step by step, through thick and thin, during adventures and expeditions.

He thought that it was rude of her to hug him without permission suddenly. 

"Also, I apologize for my Summon's behavior, but can you let it pass in exchange for the thing that you have done?" Ban said seriously. He knew that what Eva did was quite rude. And even if her reason was reasonable, he also thought that it was not the right action as Joana was a legit Gold Rank Adventurer. 

Her strength should be at least at D-Master Rank. And aside from that, Ban still didn't see what kind of Monster was her other Summon. He thought that he should be careful not to offend her while also trying to maintain his 'Leon' persona. 

Upon hearing that, Joana's eyes could not help but lit up. She thought that the condition was in favor of her. After all, she knew that 'Leon' came from a strong background and she also knew that 'Leon' was a strong person himself. 

If she could get away from his wrath in exchange for that slap that did not even hurt her at all, she thought that it would be the best. 

"Thank you for your mercy, Mr. Leon!" Joana said as she bowed her head towards Ban. The Hairless Cat on her shoulder still had its eyes opened wide as it stared at Eva angrily. 

However, Joana touched it gently which somehow managed to calm it down. It licked her palms wet before it nudged its head towards her neck as if saying that it was okay now.

"However, Mr. Leon, what I requested is still valid. I don't know if you understand what I meant about 'exercise', and if you do, please do consider it. Of course, in exchange, I only want one thing from you. But I will only reveal it if you decide to do it with me." Joana said with a serious tone while she took the Hairless Cat from her shoulder before resting it atop her huge chest, in which the Hairless Cat found the spot as something comfortable. 

'Won't I lose the deal that way? You already want me to accompany you during your exercise in exchange for that soup, and now you want to request something again without exchanging something?' Ban thought that she was becoming more and more unreasonable. 

"I'll think about it!" However, Ban did not point it out lest she got offended.. He knew that he's still not ready to face a Multi Realm Summoner and it would be better not to get on her bad side, for now.
