Almighty Summoner System

Unlike Joana's shabby looking store, the one in front of them was actually decent with an ancient and old feel to it due to the vines and trees surrounding the shop. 

Joana directly opened the door and went inside while Ban and George still followed closely behind her. 

Ban observed the shop after he came inside. And just like Joana's shope, there were also items displayed inside the row glass cases but instead of weapons, what was displayed inside was herbs and vials or bottles of medicine with various effects. Of course, just like Joana's weapons and armors, they were also quite pricey in Ban's perspective. 

Ban did not dare to touch any glass as he was afraid that he might accidentally trip it over and end up breaking the glass as well as the herb or vial inside it.

  George also understood those things and unlike Ban who observed every glass case, he only stared at them in the distance, even going as far as staying still, just so he would not trip over a glass.

"Carmen! Are you here?" Joana shouted after waiting for a minute and yet the shop owner was still not present to assist them. 

Hearing no response, Joana thought that she might not be around at the moment. However, she then recalled that Carmen might just be pranking her or she might be concocting a medicine at the moment. However, considering the time,she thought that the latter has a lower chance of happening than the former.

"Carmen, I have Red Hermit Termite's available here. If you don't want it,I'll just deliver this to Rendal and let him make me two accessories out of it." Joana shouted as if she was already sure that someone would respond.

And in fact, she was not wrong as at the next moment, they could clearly hear rapid footsteps from the inner part of the store.

Sometime later, a woman with black messy hair and dark eye bags, wearing a white coat appeared in front of them. And contrary to her tired appearance, her voice was actually very energetic. "Is what you said true? Let me buy at least one of it please, you would only be wasting resources if you give it to Rendal. By his barbaric ways of doing things, I'm a hundred percent sure that at least half of the material's effects would be lost." 

She spoke rapidly that she did not even notice that Joana had already released a fist towards her head.

Bam!

A small sound echoed as the girl named Carmen, rubbed her painful head. "What was that for?" She asked.

"What do you mean what was that for? Why did you try to hide from me?" Joana answered with a reprimanding tone. 

Carmen did not talk back anymore as she acted as if nothing had happened. "Where's the Red Hermite Termite's eyes?" 

""In here." Joana stated while pointing at the Preservation Box on her hand. 

Seeing the Preservation Box, Carmen's eyes almost went wide in surprise. "Open it! Open it now!"

She eagerly requested with a puppy eye towards Joana.

However, Joana ignored her flatly as she said, "Before that, let me introduce you to Mr. Leon first. He's the one who brought me these two Red Hermit Termite's eyes as well."

Upon hearing her, Carmen's eyes couldn't help but go into a heart shape after knowing that it was this Mr. Leon who sold a precious material just like that as if it was nothing. 

"Mr. Leon, this is the Alchemist friend that I was talking about, her name's Carmen."

Carmen extended her hand for a handshake while saying, "Nice to meet you, Mr. Leon. Thank you for selling the precious material to us, it would surely be put in a big role during this upcoming Beast Tide." 

Ban received her hand and shook it before nodding his head in response. And right after their two hands parted, Carmen suddenly inquired, "Mr. Leon, do you perhaps have another set of those Eyes? I'm willing to pay double its usual price if you still have some in your possession."

"Unfortunately, No!" Ban replied calmly.

"I see! What a shame!" She said in a dejected tone before turning towards Joana again. 

"Let me see the eyes now!" She said eagerly towards Joana.

"Don't worry, one of these will be yours so just focus on assisting Mr. Leon first."

Joana then added after turning towards Ban. "What kind of herb are you searching for again, Mr. Leon?"

"Glass Ginger, and I need one with an age of 2 years old." 

"I see, it's perfect then.  I do have a Glass Ginger at the moment and it's also at 2 years old." Carmen said with a nod.

"Wait a moment, I'll harvest it." She added before turning around to harvest the 2 years old glass ginger.

Usually, the price of an herb will depend on how old the herb was before it got harvested. After all, an older herb means that it's effect is more potent compared to the younger ones. 

Of course, it doesn't really imply that an older herb will be the most effective one. After all, if somehow one uses an herb that is too potent for the patient to handle, the patient might have a higher chance of dying rather than getting cured by an overly potent herb. 

The Almighty Summoner System clearly stated that he needs a 2 year old Glass Ginger, so he will follow it strictly. After all, at the end of the day, it is still for his own well-being. 

Sometime later, Carmen finally returned with the Glass Ginger on her hand. There was still some soil that was stuck on the Glass Ginger, a clear sign that it just got harvested, just like what Carmen stated. 

Carmen approached Ban and said, "Where's your Preservation Box?" 

"I don't have one!" Ban stated calmly. 

"Huih!? Then how will you preserve it if you don't have any Preservation Box?" Carmen scrutinized her brow in confusion. For a moment, she was even reconsidering whether she should still sell the herb or not. After all, she doesn't want any materials to get wasted on the wrong person.
