You're My Only Star

As Qiu Ling Yi walked down the stairs in her pretty dress, Song Xing Xing took this chance to escape her brother and joined her friends to congratulate her friends for their engagement. The group of friends began to reminisce about their high school and spoke about how they had not expected that the couple would end up together.

Song Xing Xing watched how Qiu Ling Yi was holding on to her fiance's arm tightly and heaved a heavy breath. Looking at the couple together made her a little jealous.

It has been a few days since the last time she saw her boyfriend. Song Xing Xing found that she was missing him terribly.

Their points kept on increasing and in a short while, they had gathered a number of spectators who stayed to cheer them.

By the time the game ended, the two turned around and were surprised to see the people around them. The crowd dispersed the moment after a round of applause.

Song Xing Xing left with her brother and went to play the claw machine. As Song Xing Xing never had the patience to play this game, she could only stand at the side and watch as her brother went to catch a few plush toys.

After two tries, Song Wei caught a dolphin plush toy and handed it to his sister. "Are you not going to speak now?" He inserted a coin and fiddled with the button on the machine.

Song Xing Xing heaved a heavy breath. "What do you want to know?"

"Everything." Song Wei watch as the claw went down and turned to his sister.

There were only two of them siblings. When they were still young, they had promised to look after each other and not keep anything important from each other.

His sister dating news is definitely something big and important. It was the first time that she has been in a relationship. As her only siblings, Song Wei worried about his sister a lot.

She might be a little older than him. But that did not stop him from worrying about her. After all, when the two of them stood side by side, most people would think of him as the eldest brother instead.

Initially, he had called their cousin, Song Yi to find out whether he knew anything about his sister's relationship. Their cousin seemed to know something about his sister's relationship. However, he had refused to say anything.

Song Xing Xing pursed her lips. Now that her mother had known about her relationship with Lu Xun, she did not have a problem telling others. However, she was still a little shy to talk about her love life to her brother.

"You already told mom about him?" Song Wei knew his sister well. Each time, his sister would let their mother be the first person to know any news. Only then will she tell it to the others.

"I didn't lie. That person is someone who worked at the same company as me," Song Xing Xing said.

"He's a video editor too? A producer?"

"No." Song Xing Xing halted as she watch her brother aimed for the panda plush toy. "He's the big boss in the company. The president of NEXT Group, Lu Xun."

His hand slipped and Song Wei missed the panda he was aiming. He turned to his sister and stared at her for a long time with his eyes wide.

"Why... are you looking at me like that?" Being stared at by her brother made her very embarrassed.

"Sister, how did you get involved with someone like that?" Song Wei asked. A thought came to his mind and the frown on his face deepened. "No. Wait a minute. That person, Lu Xun... wasn't he as old our cousin, Song Yi?"

"There's nothing wrong with dating a slightly elder man. Anyway, he's very good to me. You should know a person like him well. He's not someone who would waste his time to play a trick on someone like me."

Lu Xun would rather not get involve with her rather than play with her heart. At least, Song Xing Xing was sure of that.

Song Wei looked at his sister and saw the faint smile on her face.

This smile was very different than the usual. When she spoke about that person, Song Wei could see that her eyes were smiling as well. It was the look of someone who was deeply in love.

A heavy breath escaped him as he continued to listen to his sister telling him about that person. Although Song Wei had a lot of things to say, he knew well that someone who was deeply in love would not listen to anything.

The siblings spent their time at the arcade to chat about Lu Xun until the sky had turned darker.

Just as they were about to leave the mall, Song Xing Xing's phone started to ring. She slid her finger on the screen without looking at the caller ID and pressed her phone to her ear.

"Xing Xing? Where are you?"

Song Xing Xing halted the moment she heard his voice. She looked at her brother who was standing a distance away and lowered her voice. "Lu Xun? Has your meeting ended?"

Lu Xun chuckled. "Un. It has ended this morning."

Song Xing Xing frowned as she recalled that she had tried to reach him but was directed to the operator instead.

"Xing Xing, I'm at The Orchid Hotel in Y City," Lu Xun spoke.. His voice sounded a little deep and hoarse. "Do you want to come over and see me?"
