Chapter 101: Field-Type Skill

Chapter 101: Field-Type Skill

"Now then, since all of you have come out..." Jim spoke after seeing his Blood Minions and Blood Warriors as he paused for a moment and closed his eyes. After a few moments, he then opened his eyes again and his right eye turned red with five dots on the middle of it. "Prepare yourself, Lolo!"

What the heck! Laude found his sweat starting to come out. He was already worrying to resist those many tamed beasts of his grandson and now, as if it wasn't enough, he even used the Pulang Mata!

That was the eye of Charley! Even to himself, the illusion it would bring would definitely give him harm! Was his grandson really trying to kill him?! Laude was just thankful that it wasn't Charley who was actually using it. Because if so... Laude didn't want to think about the outcome.

In any case, Laude was afraid that if he didn't unleash more than 10% of his power, he would surely suffer this time. In the beginning, he made up his mind that he wouldn't use more than 10% of his power to play with his grandson.

In fact, less than 1% was already more than enough to play with them but since he had a grandson with a power of The Life with him, he gave them some leeway and increased his limit to 10%.

But now, his calculation went off as he could tell that 10% of his power was not enough. What was he going to do now? He was known for once set his mind, he would not be shaken so easily. If he turned back from what he told to himself to only use 10% of his power, wouldn't his pride hurt a bit?

But well, no one had known about it so he thought that it was fine to increase his limit to 15%? But Laude felt that he was just lying to himself. What was the point of doing it? Just who was he trying to fool?

Laude felt like he was going mad by the problems given by his grandson. But of course, Laude didn't express all of it on his face. He still appeared calm and nonchalant as if what he was seeing was nothing at all.

And Jim really was amazed by this fact. It appeared that even by showing all of his strength, his grandfather was still as calm as ever! Jim really wished that he could hear the other party's beat of the heart to know if what he was seeing was the truth. He just couldn't trust what he was seeing, right?

But there was no way to do so. That being said, Jim started his move as he tried to trap the other party with his illusion.

Damn.

Laude felt that there was an eye gazing at him from behind. But he knew that it was just an illusion. He raised his awareness to the max level to prepare himself for the incoming possible attack.

But then, the world before him had changed slowly. Starting from him, the surroundings turned red. The ground he was standing on, was now seemed like a lake of blood and the blue sky turned red. The sun turned something creepy as it appeared that it just became something like the right eye of Jim. And it only gave off a much dimmer light compared to the real sun, giving a dim red hue to the surroundings. Then the trees around became leafless and had their skin turned dark red. It all stood in the seemingly pool of blood.

Except for Jim and his pets, no one else was around anymore. Even Jasper, Chad, and even his beloved granddaughter were nowhere to be found. He could only see the wolf that was with his granddaughter lying on the ground as if it didn't care what was going on.

Even his griffin was nowhere to be found as well as he could only see the gorilla that was beside it from before.

What is this? A field-type skill?

Laude had his sharp eyes sweeping around him as he thought for what kind of skill was that. And it seemed like a field-type!

But that was impossible! One must know that using such a skill caused a great amount of World Energy. And he knew well that his grandson had very little of it. How could the other party do such a skill?

Moreover, the field-type skill was limited only for the High Rankers. It was specialized in what ability they had. But still, only a few S-ranks could actually cast such skill. In Biga village, Laude only recognized one S-rank that could do such a skill. And that was Jino of the Santermo Clan!

But Jino seemed to not be able to perfect it since every time he cast a field-type skill, he would lose control over himself and become something like a killing machine, not knowing friends from foe.

But his grandson could actually...

"Hmmm." Laude realized the skill. This must be an illusion field! Or perhaps, a blood field. No matter what, the only thing he was yet to know was what did this field would possibly do.

"You've got a nice move brat." Laude could only laugh out his remark.

"Really?" Jim replied. His attitude became so much different.

Whenever Jim faced his grandfather, there was always a hint of fear. But this time, nothing was left even its traces.

Laude turned serious as he looked at his surroundings once again even more carefully. Everyone knew that most illusions were useless to someone who had realized it. And Laude had already figured out that he was inside an illusion. If he wanted to, he could break free at any moment even with his 10% of power.

Or at least that was what he thought.

What's going on? Laude said inwardly as he frowned. He just realized that he couldn't break the illusion. For he realized as well that his connection from the sun had just disappeared. As if he was blocked by something. Or perhaps, he was in another dimension. No matter what was it, he could not use the power of the sun!

"Go!"

As Laude was in deep thought, he heard Jim finally making a move. The other party was now ordering his pets to make a move.

The ones that came to him were the swarm of bees. Laude could just evaporate all of it with the power of the sun but Laude had just lost his connection from the sun. It only meant that he couldn't do such a feat now!

It seemed like he could only use his own ability!

As the swarm of bees was getting nearer, Laude's eyes were getting sharper. As if it would kill anyone he glanced at.

So then, Laude raised his right hand and pointed it towards the incoming swarm of bees. But the bees had dispersed in all directions trying to surround Laude.

Hmph!

Seeing the obvious tricks of the bees, Laude waved his hand and the space before him had as if, shattered. All the bees found themselves falling as their body had just sliced into half if not many times.

Jim saw all of his Blood Minions being cut to pieces at the same time. And he couldn't help but be filled with awe. His grandfather really was great!

But Jim only smiled. For he knew through instinct what was the ability of the skill he had just cast!

From the beginning, after Jim learned about his blood ability, he was just always following his instincts. As if it was his teacher. Never his instincts had betrayed him and he knew that this time, what he felt was correct as well!

Plop, plop, plop.

Jim then saw all of his Blood Minions fell on the seemingly lake of blood one after another. Until finally, everyone had all dropped to the lake of blood as if it all landed in a real lake.

But just after a few moments, those bees that dropped on the lake of blood had then once again, rose from the lake of blood. It continued to come to their target afraid that their target would escape.

But this time, Laude was astonished by the numbers. He'd just noticed that those bees had become thrice if not four or five times in numbers compared from before!

So that's how it is...

Laude realized the ability of the field-type skill that his grandson had cast. It seemed like whenever he killed the other party's pests, it would resurrect themselves. And depending on how many times he'd cut them, their body pieces would form a new body.

That ability really was scary! Laude could only remark it inwardly. But seeing the incoming bees, Laude had no time to dilly dally.

However, he was just about to make a move when suddenly, two red hands popped out beneath him and grabbed his feet. Laude was startled. He wasn't even able to detect something like that. He just found out that there were already two hands grabbing his feet.

Was this an illusion? Laude wasn't sure. Because he could feel that these two hands were actually absorbing his Life Energy!
