Chapter 135

Chapter 135 - Star Sword Art

The cave abode signified a chance for fortune!

Ye Hao, accompanied by Cisco, quickly stepped through the portal.

Yet, to their astonishment, they found the cave abode barren, devoid of anything.

“Where's the light?” Ye Hao inquired, turning to Cisco.

A look of bewilderment was etched on Cisco's face.

He was just as puzzled about the light's disappearance.

What were they to do?

Ye Hao resolved to keep searching!

Together, Ye Hao and Cisco scoured the place time and again.

In the throes of despair, a beam of light abruptly materialized within the cave. Within this glow stood a striking young man in white, brandishing a sword.

As the young man swung his sword, the celestial bodies aligned, sending nine beams of stellar light into the blade.

With a single strike, the young man in white reduced a towering demonic shadow to cinders.

”The Light of the Stars can sever all,” the young man in white proclaimed, his voice echoing through the annals of history and resonating in Ye Hao's ears. Simultaneously, the figure of the young man shifted before Ye Hao's gaze.

It dawned on Ye Hao that the young man in white was bequeathing his swordsmanship to him in this manner.

While Ye Hao watched intently, Cisco, too, gazed on, eyes wide with amazement.

The young man in white demonstrated the technique only once before stating calmly, “The Star Sword Art demands exceptional aptitude. If you fail to grasp it after a single viewing, you cannot pursue its mastery further.”

“Should anyone succeed in cultivating the first layer of the Star Sword Art, they may return here.” As his words faded, so did the figure of the young man in white.

“Master, have you committed it to memory?”

Ye Hao nodded.

Cisco's eyes bulged in disbelief. “How could you?”

“Is there an issue?”

“I possess top-grade talent, yet I've only retained a mere 30%.”

“How can someone of your lowly stature compare to me?” Ye Hao scoffed with contempt.

Ye Hao was aware that his talent eclipsed even the top grade.

Cisco could only offer a wry smile in response.

Despite his top-grade talent, Ye Hao had dismissed him as inferior.

“We should depart.” As Ye Hao and Cisco exited the portal, it vanished behind them.

“Master, how shall we enter next time?”

After a moment's thought, Ye Hao strode towards where the portal had stood. As he came within three meters of its location, the portal reappeared on its own.

“The door has been here all along,” Cisco exclaimed with surprise.

Ye Hao felt a sense of relief.

The Star Sword Art was several times more formidable than the black dragon's swordsmanship, so Ye Hao was determined to master it at all costs. It could serve as a powerful ace up his sleeve.

Afterward, Ye Hao approached Xiao Ming, who was still unconscious. He administered a healing potion to Xiao Ming, and it wasn't long before Xiao Ming regained consciousness.

Upon seeing Cisco crouched beside him, Xiao Ming's first instinct was to strike out at him. “Cisco is now under my control,” Ye Hao interjected, holding Xiao Ming back.

”You've tamed him?” Xiao Ming's eyes widened in disbelief. “How could you possibly do that?”

“I have my ways,” Ye Hao replied with a grin.

Xiao Ming's perception of Ye Hao shifted; he had always found Ye Hao enigmatic, and now he seemed even more so. Suddenly, Xiao Ming remembered the door and turned to look for it, only to find it had vanished.

“Where did the door go?”

“I'll show you,” Ye Hao offered, rising to his feet.

As the door reappeared, Xiao Ming's gaze towards Ye Hao was filled with a new sense of awe. “Have you been inside?”

”Yes.”

“What's in there?”

“A legacy of sword techniques.”

“What?” Xiao Ming gasped, taken aback.

“However, I suspect it only appears at certain times.” Ye Hao quickly summarized the recent events.

Xiao Ming's interest was piqued by Ye Hao's account. “I want to wait here for it to reappear,” he declared, not wanting to leave.

“We should get Cisco an identity certificate from the Supernatural Bureau,” Ye Hao suggested thoughtfully. With many Taoists in the world, losing Cisco would mean losing a valuable ally.

“Head to the Supernatural Bureau and ask Niannian for assistance,” Xiao Ming advised.

Taking Xiao Ming's advice, Ye Hao led Cisco to the Supernatural Bureau. There, he requested that Niannian issue identity certificates not only for Cisco but also for Qingqing, Sugar, Momo, Tang Pianpian, and even himself. These half-official documents could prove essential in the future, and it was best to be prepared.

Ye Hao returned to the villa with Cisco in tow.

“What an ugly dog,” Tang Pianpian exclaimed upon seeing Cisco.

“That's ridiculous!” Cisco protested. He couldn't tolerate Tang Pianpian calling him ugly in public.

Qingqing quickly stepped in front of Tang Pianpian.

“I've tamed this dog demon,” Ye Hao declared with a grin.

“You've managed to tame a demon at the third layer of Blood Refining?” Qingqing eyed Ye Hao with a mix of surprise and skepticism.

“Is there a problem?”

“I'm doubtful.”

“Do you think I could tame you too?”

“Try me,” Qingqing challenged, tilting her head with a playful smile.

“Wait and see,” Ye Hao shot back, giving Qingqing a stern look before turning to Pianpian. “Pianpian, take Cisco to my parents, please.”

“And you?”

“I'm on the cusp of a breakthrough.”

“Got it. I'm on it.”

“I'll accompany you,” Qingqing insisted, still concerned about Cisco.

“I want to come too!” Momo, in the throes of her playful teenage years, was eager to join the outing.

“Here are your identity documents.” Ye Hao handed out the identity certificates to Tang Pianpian and the rest.

Ye Hao's breakthrough went incredibly smoothly.

Upon entering the Blood Refining realm, he felt a power unlike any he had experienced before—an internal strength.

With the breakthrough, his blood became more potent.

Blood is the wellspring of power.

As his blood grew more potent, so too did his strength.

After his breakthrough, Ye Hao spent three days consolidating his power before heading to Anesas.

He hadn't forgotten about Lan Qingqing's illness.

Previously, Ye Hao had been too busy, but now he had some free time.

He was off to the Nubeat Casino!

Accompanied by her secretary, Lan Qingqing arrived at the office for the meeting.

She had a premonition that something was amiss.

The meeting had been proposed by 12 of the 15 board members, suggesting they had reached some clandestine accord.

Indeed, the abrupt scheduling of the meeting had caught Lan Qingqing unprepared.

By the time she entered the office, the other 17 shareholders were already present.

They all turned their attention to Lan Qingqing simultaneously.

With a serene smile on her face, Lan Qingqing asked, “Uncle Zhang, Uncle Liu, Uncle Lee, what's the rush in calling this meeting?”
