Chapter 132

Chapter 132 - Compensated with Death

Ye Hao's expression remained utterly unchanged.

“Momo, make sure you keep Pianpian safe,” Ye Hao instructed gently.

“Don't worry,” Momo replied, her face twisting into a fierce scowl. “Anyone who dares to harm Pianpian will be bitten to death by me.”

Ye Hao strode confidently toward the front.

Soon, he came upon two figures bound to a post.

They were his parents.

“Ye Hao,” a chilling voice called out, followed by the appearance of a figure clad in white.

“Faang Wen.” Recognizing the figure, Ye Hao realized that Faang Wen was likely the mastermind behind this ordeal.

“How does it feel to see your parents like this?” Faang Wen asked, his eyes brimming with venom.

“The Faang family will pay dearly for this,” Ye Hao declared, emphasizing each word.

Faang Wen burst into laughter as if he had just heard the world's most amusing joke.

But his laughter abruptly ceased.

He noticed that Ye Hao was looking at him with an expression of pure pity.

“Ye Hao, I didn't expect you to be with the Martial Arts Bureau. But do you really think they can shield you?” Faang Wen said, clapping his hands.

Yet, Faang Wen's confidence quickly turned to confusion.

No one appeared in response to his clapping.

This was not at all what he had anticipated.

“Dao Hui, Chou Mi,” Faang Wen called out, his voice tinged with panic.

“Looking for them?” A cool voice echoed from above, and Faang Wen witnessed a stunning sight.

A breathtakingly beautiful girl hovered midair, with two lifeless bodies lying beneath her feet.

Faang Wen recognized them immediately.

They were Dao Hui and Chou Mi, the very men he had summoned.

“Faang Wen, do you realize your mistake?” Ye Hao asked. “You erred by not thoroughly investigating my identity and background before acting against me.”

“I am indeed a member of the Martial Arts Bureau,” Ye Hao said, looking at Faang Wen with a mix of pity and resolve. “But who said that was my only role?”

With those words, Ye Hao gestured upwards, and the water from the reservoir transformed into a majestic dragon, spiraling into the sky.

Faang Wen stood there, utterly bewildered.

He couldn't fathom the technique being used.

“Go.” At Ye Hao's command, the Aqua Drake surged toward the several figures brought by Faang Wen. When the Aqua Drake returned to Ye Hao, all the figures had fallen.

“Don't kill me,” Faang Wen pleaded, his face stricken with terror.

Faang Wen was frightened.

“Give me one good reason not to kill you,” Ye Hao stated coolly.

“I am the legitimate grandson of the Faang family!” Faang Wen stammered out.

Ye Hao burst into laughter. “Do you really think the Faang family can escape their fate this time?”

“You're going to strike at the Faang family?” Faang Wen gasped in shock.

“A cultivator doesn't harm ordinary people without cause. But if someone offends a cultivator, they should brace themselves for annihilation,” Ye Hao explained. As he spoke, the Aqua Drake in his grasp lunged at Faang Wen with a roar, and in an instant, it had bitten off Faang Wen's head.

“We're heading to the Faang family,” Ye Hao declared icily.

The Faang family was influential, maintaining a stronghold even in Glento City.

Faang Yuan was pacing the hall in distress, having made over a dozen calls to Faang Wen without any response.

“Could something have happened to Faang Wen?” Faang Yuan wondered aloud.

“Impossible!” Faang Yuan shook his head, reassuring himself.

Dao Hui and Chou Mi were both masters of the Mountain's Echo Stage. How could they fail against Ye Hao, a mere junior of the Innate Stage?

Yet, why was Faang Wen unreachable?

Suddenly, agonized screams echoed from the courtyard, and Faang Yuan's face went pale.

Who would dare to move against the Faang family?

The next moment, a bloodstained bundle was hurled into the living room.

With a sense of dread, Faang Yuan opened the bundle and collapsed to the floor in shock.

Inside was the severed head of Faang Wen.

“Do you have anything to say?” a calm voice suddenly filled the hall.

Looking up, Faang Yuan's eyes widened in disbelief at the sight of Ye Hao.

“Did you kill my son?” he asked.

“That's correct.”

“How did you manage that?”

“It's quite simple,” Ye Hao explained, and as he spoke, the water in the teacup in the hall began to shift and change in his hand.

“You're a cultivator!” Faang Yuan exclaimed, his face draining of color at the sight.

It didn't take long for Faang Yuan to realize why the two Mountain's Echo experts had perished.

Martial artists and cultivators were not even in the same league.

“We concede,” Faang Yuan said after a moment of silence, his voice tinged with bitterness.

“So, is that the end of it?” Ye Hao chuckled. “Life doesn't work that way.”

“What are you planning to do?” Faang Yuan asked, his eyes ablaze with fury.

“I intend for Faang Wen's lineage to be wiped out.” Ye Hao had no desire to annihilate the entire Faang family, but he was resolute in eradicating Faang Wen's line.

After all, there was no guarantee they wouldn't seek revenge for Faang Wen.

“That's impossible.”

“In this world, nothing is impossible,” Ye Hao stated icily. “If the Faang family disagrees, then I will have no choice but to eliminate you all.”

“You've lost your mind,” Faang Yuan said, feeling a chill spread through his limbs.

“It's you who have lost your minds,” Ye Hao retorted, locking eyes with Faang Yuan. “You ought to know better than to bring harm to a man's family, yet you dared to use my parents as leverage against me.”

Faang Yuan found himself at a loss for words.

“Relay a message to the Faang family patriarch: if I don't get what I'm after within one day, I will bring ruin upon the entire Faang family.”

After a brief contemplation, Faang Yuan reluctantly made a call to the family head.

The patriarch of the Faang family was taken aback upon learning that Ye Hao was a cultivator.

“Hand the phone to Ye Hao,” Faang Qiming instructed after a pause.

Ye Hao accepted the phone.

“You need not worry about further retaliation from the Faang family. We will not harm the family of a cultivator,” Faang Qiming assured him.

“The only thing I'm certain of is that actions have consequences,” Ye Hao replied sternly.

“Faang Wen has already paid with his life.”

“That's not sufficient.”

“The fate of Faang Yuan is in your hands,” Faang Qiming stated, then added, “That is my final offer. Otherwise, we are prepared for a battle to the bitter end.”

“I'm curious to see how you plan to wage such a battle against me,” Ye Hao said with a cold laugh. “I will personally visit the Faang family's headquarters.”

“You're the first one to go.” The tea in Ye Hao's grasp transformed into a water arrow, shooting straight through Faang Yuan's brow.

As Ye Hao was en route to the capital, he got a call from Xiao Ming.

“Ye Hao, let's put an end to this.”

“Are you trying to stop me?”

“Eylas isn't as straightforward as you imagine,” Xiao Ming warned gravely. “If you go on a killing spree in the capital, not even the Imam of the Keepers of Forbidden Lore could save you.”
