Chapter 527 527. THE PEAK OF THE FIFTH TIER
Silence reigned in the fields of the artificial environment. Mana burnt to repair the sheer destruction that had befallen its plains, but none focused on that genuinely spectacular event.
Rather, their eyes remained on the captivating figure of grand elder Ezra, who stood before a stunned lady Andrea. The expert continued to bleed profusely, but it would take her a while to have to pass out. Tier 4's were too strong to immediately pass out from simply blood loss.
With her soul state still on, she remained in a frenzy of sorts which boosted her ability to take the pain. Still, she had not exerted herself too much since Noah had demolished her too quickly even in her empowered state.
She believed only a few weeks would be required to return to her peak. She turned the technique off and felt all the blood in her face drain.
Her eyes fell dizzy as her thought process fluctuated too seriously. She mostly felt reverence for Noah's figure, but she could barely put anything together.
Fatigue filled her bones and her mind. She seemed brain-dead since she fell to the ground, half unconscious. Her soul energy had been drained completely she would fall unconscious very soon.
"You've done your best," Elder Ezra muttered, allowing a blue light to wrap around the expert and tale her deep into the golden mansion where she would undergo healing like the other two experts.
Noah remained in the skies, toning down the expression of his power. He had won. By a landslide at that. None of the experts had been a challenge to him. He remained too strong for such.
"You almost killed her," Elder Ezra ascended into the skies of the artificial regions. Only a few minutes would have to pass before everything returned to normalcy.
"But I didn't," Noah countered moving forward to meet his grand elder. Truth be told had elder Ezra not acted he would have saved the lady himself.
Elder Ezra remained silent almost uncertain of what to do. Noah spoke, however.
"I have been fighting a whole lot lately, can you just put an end to this? There is a war going on and sending them to battle me would simply be a waste of resources. A major crisis could occur soon and we'd be unable to handle it."
Elder Ezra remained silent even if she had come to a similar conclusion. The being before her, for she could no longer call him a man, was far too strong for those experts.
She hated to admit it, but he remained the strongest middle-stage tier 4 she had ever seen in the guild. Maybe ever!
"Before I give in to that idea, let me ask them." She spoke after a few seconds of silence.
"Do any of you still desire a battle with him? If any of such individuals exist you can come out now. I'll give a five seconds countdown."
Utter silence.
The city of people that watched had fallen silent. Every tier 3, tier 2, or even tier 1 expert simply kept their mouth shut to see if anyone would be brave enough to battle the monster of great looks.
"Five," her voice reverberated through the city and even the artificial environment. Pin-drop silence permeated the entire city.
Noah had displayed such might that even cheers ceased to exist.
"Four," Elder Ezra almost knew the outcome of that event. Were she to encounter someone as strong as him at her level, she would hold her peace to not bring shame upon herself.
"Three."
"Two."
"One." She announced and nodded her head. She felt glad that none of them had been stupid enough to rise forth. She could keep the rest of them in good health for any occasion.
"I see. Then this event is over. You all can return to your abodes in the city. I thank you for answering my call," She announced and murmurs seeped out of the crowd whilst the floating screens disappeared.
A file started and they soon began to leave that place. Before the experts left, however, they each glanced at Aiden's figure one more time. Mixed emotions filled their hearts, but one of the most common was fear.
None had any idea what they would do were they to encounter such a beast on the battlefield.
They were monsters in their own right, but he was their king.
"You. We still have a few things to talk about before you go," Elder Ezra spoke at some point. After all the golden-sashed experts had left.
Noah nodded and watched a blue light wrap around his body and he appeared in an office room.
A simple layout that featured a desk and two chairs.
"Take a seat," she commanded, walking forward to sit.
Elder Ezra had a stern expression on. She had a lot on her mind already. The arrival of a formerly thought-dead member, especially since he returned with far more power, would be a major addition.
"I will not ask you how exactly you got this powerful, but the least I can demand is the events that led to the death of the entire tour group," Elder Ezra started.
Noah nodded his head in understanding and went on to narrate the event. He did so with so much precision that whatever doubt about him truly being the one was blotted out.
When he got to the point that featured the description of the tier 5 expert that had killed the sons and daughters of the nobles, she requested him to stop.
She knew the story after that point, but most especially, the expert that had silver sparks amongst the three tier 5's had been the one taken by the guild. The reason why they had left their former dweling spot.
The elves had delivered her unto their hands and apparently the one who had fought the battle had been the leader amongst the grand elders.
A being that stood close to the peak of the fifth tier and hardly stayed in one place. He had been away from the guild for many years, but the news had brought him back.
The battle had been great, but short.
