Chapter 463 463. MOUTH OF THE LION
Noah swept his gaze on the room, his eyes fell on Miranda. It had been a long while since he last saw her and he could already feel her gaze boring into his skin.
She looked as beautiful as ever, and even memories of their time together rushed into his mind filling him with a sense of want he had forgotten.
"Sir, Aiden," she stood up gracefully, her eyes clearly stating how ready she was for anything he wanted from her. Noah began to wonder if the other caretakers were like that, or she was just kinky.
"Miranda," Noah called out lightly. He took light steps towards her and she bowed before him.
Noah gave a dismissive wave and sat on his bed. Now that she was here he didn't know what to do already.
Miranda straightened her position and sat on the bed with him. Silence being predominant between them.
She still had clear memories of their time together. His stamina was something else. It made her shiver just thinking about it.
"You will be appearing before the royal council. I suggest you prepare yourself, Sir Aiden," Miranda shattered the silence with her slow and thoughtful words.
Noah recalled their appointment and nodded. He immediately stood and approached the bathroom. He somehow had an idea of what would happen next.
Laying in the relaxing tub, Noah took note of how the water could boil to degrees that affected even his skin. The normal human would be dead.
The fragrance of the soap was also a lot to take in. It felt and smelled exquisite.
Heck, Noah felt like a prince or something in that place.
The appointment to come managed to pull him out of his light thoughts, and although he didn't worry. The mere simulations of what could happen felt heavy.
Noah hoped none of them took too much of an interest in him.
His thoughts were cut short by the sight of the door opening. A grin threatened to open on Noah's face at that point, and when Miranda walked in with only a blue band holding her black hair together; he knew what was about to go down.
He swept his gaze on her bare features and shot a light glance at the tier 4 expert.
She remained silent and walked forward until Noah had her bare skin in his face. He could see her tattoo.
"May I come in?" She asked, and Noah almost burst into laughter.
"After all this, how would I not let you," his grin finally became evident.
She stepped into the tub after that point and drew nearer. The water's heat didn't affect her, but that wasn't the point, to begin with.
Noah felt his breathing get rapid as she slowly positioned herself on his bare lap. Her eyes were already cloudy.
She was really something else.
Sliding her fingers up his lap, they went up his chest taking in his defined features.
Noah wanted to run mad.
He let out a soft but hot breath, before wrapping his arms around her thin waist and pulling her closer to his house.
She felt him and smiled.
Noah's eyes never left hers and slowly but surely she allowed him in.
A soft shaky gasp left her lips, and even he felt forced to close his eyes, as he pulled in a deep breath.
Slow and grindy hip movements began at that juncture. Noah forgot about the bath and focused on the event at hand. He was going to let her take the full brunt of his subconscious worries.
The sounds that echoed in that bath-chamber were testimony to the event.
.
.
.
Wiping his legs with a cream-colored towel, Noah fell on his bed immediately after he was done.
A white piece of clothing was wrapped around his waist covering his nakedness.
He let out a deep sigh before standing and putting on a new robe. This one looking more exquisite and expensive. He had Elder Sarah to thank for that.
Miranda came out of the bathroom a few minutes later. She was silent, but Noah knew it was a result of embarrassment. She seemed to lack shame when it came to her advances on him.
"What do you think we're going to do there?" He voiced his thoughts when Miranda came and sat on the couch at the edge of the bed. Her silver dress made his senses tingle due to how tightly they held her features.
"I am uncertain of that, Sir Aiden. Standing before them could mean different things. It could become a light conversation with you all. Or a competition."
"The rules are as they please. Nevertheless, the basis of what you'll do is introduce yourself to them," She raised her head to glance at his figure sitting on the bed.
"Does anything bother you, Sir?" her gaze was quite blank but her voice held worry. Noah furrowed his brows before shaking his head.
A knock came on the door and their attention immediately turned toward it.
It was time.
Noah carried himself forward, Miranda following closely behind him. He had earned her full respect for what he could do behind closed doors.
Opening the door with a bit of hesitation, Noah watched a group of about ten knights unfolds in his gaze.
His eyes fell on Madison and Bon and saw their caretakers. They both had female caretakers just like him.
"It is time," the knight at the forefront who also happened to be the one who had saved him, announced.
He nodded and stepped out of the room. His expression was light and mostly blank and his tone remained distant.
The group of a total of 16 individuals began their journey toward the appointed location to meet up with the royal council.
Little to no words were spoken during that period, as everyone including the knight had to keep their best behavior.
It was common knowledge that in times like that, there could be people secretly watching.
Noah didn't know any of that, and his only reason for remaining silent was that he understood that for him; he was going into the mouth of the lion. Hopefully, he returned in one piece.
The path to their destination was long and featured many branches. They quite literally spent close to an hour walking, before things began to be different.
The pathway they were on disappeared as a wide grassy field unfolded in the eyes of the expert. Truly the compound of the castle was great in size.
A small castle appeared in their gazes. Implanted solely in that field. Only from that point did Noah understand just how far away the major castle itself was.
The castle was black but featured shining lights on random positions of its structure.
It resembled a starry sky due to the fact that it was nighttime and the lights on its grand figure were multicolored.
"We have arrived," the same knight announced and the air turned tense.
