Chapter 458 458. HURT
"He's strong," A yellow-armored individual commented watching the chaos unfold on the court.
"He's at the peak of the third stage. They're far weaker," Another knight commented. His tone suggested that he expected that outcome to be obvious.
Noah was at the peak of the higher stage, if he weren't far stronger than them that would mess up the ranking system.
"How many of us had that type of power in the third tier?" The same person asked his three colleagues.
"I can't remember. It's hard to gauge how strong you were during your weaker levels. The third tier is so much weaker than the fourth," another one of the four knights commented.
Silence unfolded at that point. They watched the black-haired lady in the mix recreate her defensive spell, while the fire mage took refuge under her protection.
Noah's figure quickly became evident and his completely okay state was revealed to the world. He had a slightly annoyed expression, while his sparks took control of the area.
He could kill both his opponents if he wanted.
Noah watched a jet of water depart from the spinning ball of liquid to arrive in front of him. He threw a punch to completely destroy it, starting a slow approach toward the huge defensive.
More jets of water shot toward him but he destroyed them easily. His punches were more than enough.
His figure eventually arrived before the spinning wall of liquid. The roaring sound of water beating upon itself was overwhelming but he didn't care.
Noah watched arms manifest from the spinning mass to grab unto his figure. He snorted and allowed sparks to rush into the arms. They exploded from an overload of power.
Noah was unstoppable.
Placing his hand on the spinning wall, he felt its force almost pull him into it, but he stepped back before such could happen.
'This will be a good time to test out the third form,' he suddenly gained an interesting idea and took in a deep breath.
His actions were weird, but danger unfolded in the world at that point. Madison panicked and balls of water containing flames within them shot out of her defense to arrive on a barrier of sparks.
The flames within them poured out on Noah's figure, but he didn't move.
His eyes were closed and his focus was at its peak.
His makeshift barriers continued to withstand the power within the flames, but even his attire began to suffer after they had experienced more than 50 of those offensives in mere seconds.
Noah eventually opened his eyes and the wind blew at that simple action.
Spreading his arms wide, Noah was ready to unleash the third form. And he did.
Afterimages of his arms appeared at that point as his palms seemed to slowly draw nearer and nearer until they struck.
A moment of silence unfolded in the world, then a sound wave closely followed by a powerful shock wave manifested with great power.
Noah felt his world spin as the execution sent him shooting backward.
The power within his 200 claps had been enough to shatter both his arms, but as a result, the wave of power had been enough to halt the spinning motion of the ball of water spreading huge cracks in the many layers of defenses.
The ball of water fell apart simply turning into a wave of water that washed over the court.
Dead silence filled the world as Madison felt stunned beyond words.
The spark that had destroyed her first spell had not been too shocking. But the mere execution of a martial art containing that type of power was ridiculous.
That spell had been able to keep most higher stages in her guild a run for their money, but Noah had destroyed them twice. And quite easily at that.
Noah grit his teeth as he lay inside knee-length water. Being submerged didn't bother him one bit. He was too busy dealing with pain after all.
Exceeding the structural integrity of his body gave birth to a different type of pain. It felt like his very body complained. His agony felt deep, and it was. He had messed up his arms after all. The effects even spread past that damage.
His healing had kicked in however but a minute or two would need to pass before he could completely heal.
Weirdly he felt a sense of achievement from that event. Being able to injure himself real bad in a fight was something he thought would never happen during his wait for the end of the pending state.
"Are you okay?" Madison's voice pulled him out of his thoughts and he felt her arms raise him from the water.
She saw his arms healing at a speed visible to the naked eye and yelped, letting go of him.
'Ow,' Noah commented inwardly. He couldn't use his arms and for some reason, his waist and even back felt extremely weak. But they were getting better.
"Sorry, sorry!" Madison apologized lifting him again.
"If you knew you'd hurt yourself this bad why did you do it?' She asked in a slightly worried tone even if her eyes never left his healing arms. The sight made her skin crawl.
Noah simply chuckled noting Bon's approaching figure.
"It's just a spar," she furrowed her brows shifting her gaze to his face. He was beautiful. Too much for a man.
"I know. I simply felt curious," Noah explained genuinely.
"You remind me of someone. She was very destructive in her actions. She mostly ended up destroying her body in battle. Maybe you both have something in common," Madison explained smiling at the ironicness while she cherished those moments.
She checked holding onto a beautiful man from her to-do list.
"What's wrong," Bon asked gazing at Noah as he was held up by Madison.
"Nothing muc-" Noah was cut short by the appearance of a shiny figure.
The sudden darting of his gaze put the two on alert and they snapped their gazes toward the direction of his eyes.
Four yellow armored figures approached the court. Their figures looked valiant in the sun's light.
The one at the forefront walked faster than the others scaring them a bit. Had they done something wrong, they wondered.
"I want you to test your strength on me," the knight announced after walking through the water-filled court to reach them. The water was slowly disappearing due to its mana-derived nature.
His words were directed at an almost completely healed Noah, but they put surprise on the faces of all three of them.
'What the fuck!'
