Chapter 284: Astonishingly Amazing Naming Sense
Chapter 284: Astonishingly Amazing Naming Sense
The Terra Kingdom was a somewhat peculiar country.
This planet was divided into two realms at its equator. On one side of the equator was the human realm, a place with an environment similar to Earth's. On the other side was the demon realm's polluted environment.
The demon realm was further split into four countries. Among them, three were located on the same continent. Nearly half of this continent also happened to be situated in the human realm, so this continent became the main place for people to travel between the two realms.
Unfortunately, the Terra Kingdom was not one of the three kingdoms based on this continent. Instead, it was established on another independent continent. Moreover, this other continent was covered in precipitous mountains. It wouldn't even be an exaggeration to say that the Terra Kingdom was a country built on mountains.
According to the demon realm's history books, this mountainous continent was rich in earth-type mana. Hence, it had always been the Heavenly King of Earth's territory. However, as communication across the sea used to be very inconvenient in the past, the Heavenly King of Earth's kingdom had also always been the least developed country out of the four demon kingdoms.
It wasn't until recently--after the internet was established and the cost of teleportation arrays was optimized--that it became much easier for the Terra Kingdom to import and export various materials. Due to these improvements, the Heavenly King of Earth's territory could finally catch up to the other Heavenly Kings' territories. Meanwhile, the Terra Kingdom was the first Kingdom of Earth to enjoy these benefits.
It was a pity that these demons probably never dreamed that Aird, the first Heavenly King of Earth to have brought significant growth to the Kingdom of Earth, would be not only a human spy but also the Hero.
"So, this is the Terra Kingdom? It really is a country built on mountains," Alice exclaimed as she looked around with an expression of interest.

After making use of the Fear Kingdom's teleportation array, Alice and her party safely arrived at the Terra Kingdom. Meanwhile, because Alice had chosen to teleport to a teleportation array situated in a remote location of the kingdom, her group found themselves appearing on top of an incredibly tall mountain when they appeared in the Terra Kingdom.
Looking around the mountaintop, Alice could see an endless mountain range that extended far beyond the horizon. She also spotted cities situated between these mountains. However, despite the mountain she stood on being incredibly tall, it still wasn't tall enough to let Alice get a full view of the entire Terra Kingdom. So, Alice only managed to spot two cities. Cities located farther away were outside her vision.
"This place has hardly changed from thousands of years ago."
Different from an inexperienced sapling like Alice, Andusia had long since seen the entirety of the demon realm thousands of years ago. Although traveling across the ocean was a troublesome affair back then, she still needed to do so since she was the Demon King at the time. So, the Kingdom of Earth's mountainous territory was nothing new to her.
"It's just a bunch of mountains. There are a few taboos that can create mountains artificially. Although replicating this entire continent will be quite the chore, it is still entirely doable," Little Death commented nonchalantly.
Little Death had followed many Demon Kings throughout her undeath, so she had similarly visited the Kingdom of Earth many times in the past. Hence, she didn't find the sight before her all too spectacular. Compared to these mountains, the mobile phone Alice had given her this morning was much more attractive.
As for Luna, she didn't say a word. Although this was also her first time seeing such an expansive mountain range and cities built between mountains, it wasn't in her character to be interested in such matters. Not to mention, she had currently focused all of her attention on serving Alice, so she naturally wouldn't yell like an excited child.
"...You guys are making me look like a hillbilly." When Alice saw that none of her three travel companions had resonated with her amazement, she couldn't help but feel a little discouraged. Then, after sighing, she opened up the map software she previously used to record the locations of the Demon King's Power's aura signatures. "Let's see. The mountain we are on now is the Terra Kingdom's Rumble City's Rumble Rumble Mountain... What kind of terrible name is this?"
"Ah, I know that name. I personally approved it," Andusia suddenly said. "If I remember correctly, a rather severe earthquake took place here at the time, destroying the neighboring towns and cities. The earthquake even created this humongous mountain. To ensure that future generations did not forget that disastrous earthquake, the survivors decided to give this mountain and the rebuilt towns and cities memorable names."
After saying so, Andusia chuckled a little before she continued:
"After a round of voting, the city where this mountain was located was named Rumble City, and the mountain was named Rumble Rumble Mountain. If you're interested, there's a town at the foot of the mountain called Rumble Rumble Rumble Town. There should also be an earthquake museum in the town."
"You demons are really interesting..."
Alice didn't know how she should comment on the personalities of demons. Even though they were dealing with a natural disaster, it didn't seem like they treated this natural disaster seriously at all.
"Nevermind the Rumble Rumble Rumble Town. Our destination isn't that far away from Rumble City. It's Rumble City's nearby...Bang Bang City... Does the Terra Kingdom have no cities with normal names?"
"It's the custom of this continent. You just need to get used to it," Andusia consoled. "So one of the Demon King's Power's aura signatures is in Bang Bang City, huh... I wonder if it's a tool or a person? If it's a tool, it should be a weapon or a defensive tool created using the Demon King's Power's essence. But if it's a person..."
"It shouldn't be a person. Seventeen objects in this world carry the remnants of the Demon King's Power's aura, and only two are moving. So, these two objects should either be a person or an item that a person is carrying," Alice said, shaking her head. "Let's set off. Rumble City should have a mode of transport to Bang Bang City. We'll get something to eat in Rumble City first before we head for Bang Bang City."
"You say you are here for official business, but you're still moving like you're sightseeing..." Little Death commented while fiddling with her phone. "As a side note, I finally know how I got caught so easily at the mansion's courtyard. I didn't think the people of this generation would come up with an invention like the surveillance camera."
"It's the same for me. When I was first dug out of the ground and turned into this shape, I didn't know about the existence of surveillance cameras. I thought I could sneak away while nobody was noticing. I got treated as a haunted figurine and sold in a warehouse clearance..." Andusia said, sighing. "Alas, times have changed."
Like so, Alice's group of four chatted as they descended Rumble Rumble Mountain. If one wasn't aware of their identities, one would think they were only an ordinary group of girls traveling together.
