Chapter 240: Andusia Dumbfounded
Chapter 240: Andusia Dumbfounded
It wasn't actually much of a problem to bring Zauna and Lalu to the demon realm. Although Alice might have to travel separately from them for a few days, Zauna and Lalu were unlikely to come into any harm with the Four Heavenly Kings protecting them.
Since that was the case, there was no reason for Alice not to bring Zauna and Lalu with her to the demon realm. This would be a very valuable trip for them since most people in the human realm wouldn't ever get the opportunity to visit the demon realm. For this reason, many people in the human realm held great interest in the demon realm.
Meanwhile, after Alice asked Zauna and Lalu for their opinions, the two promptly agreed to go on the trip. Although they were a little disappointed when Alice told them that they would be moving separately for a few days since she had some personal matters to deal with, their curiosity about the demon realm quickly triumphed over their disappointment.
Not to mention, Alice had promised them their safety in the demon realm. According to Alice, she had developed a spy network of her own in the demon realm, and her spy friends held considerable authority in the demon realm. Hence, unless the Demon King came to attack them, the two of them wouldn't be in any danger in the demon realm.
Out of the two, Lalu's reaction to Alice's invitation was the most intense. When Alice left Lalu's room, the loli elf's face looked flushed and satisfied. She looked the same as Ciel did when Alice stepped on the catkin.
I still need to notify Flaman and the others.
After returning to her room, Alice found that Zauna had left to attend another class. Zauna might not have as much talent as Heroes and Demon Kings when it came to magic, but she was in no way inferior when it came to working hard.
The number of elective classes Zauna took was significantly greater than the average student. Aside from the weekends, her class schedule on other days would only have one or two time slots open.
In reality, another reason Alice had decided to bring Zauna to the demon realm this time was to let her friend relax a little. It was also fortunate that the place they were visiting was the demon realm. If it were an ordinary vacation, Zauna might have refused to go on the trip.
Now that Zauna had left for class, Alice, Luna, and Andusia were the only ones left in the room. So, Alice naturally did not need to worry about her identity as the "Demon King" getting exposed. After taking a seat on her bed, she held her phone in her right hand, connected to the demon realm's internet, and called Flaman.
But to Alice's surprise, when the call connected, the voice that came through the phone wasn't Flaman's rough voice. Instead, it was a familiar voice that carried hints of joy and surprise:
"Lord Demon King?! Is it you?! It's been so long since I've heard from you!"
The person on the other side of the phone was Heris, Flaman's daughter. She was also Alice's guide in the demon realm and the first person who learned of Alice's "Demon Lord" identity.
"Heris? It's been a while. How have you been recently?"
Alice started chit-chatting with Heris like a normal person. While doing so, she glanced at Andusia, whom she had placed on her desk, and saw that the other party had indeed heard the "Lord Demon King" greeting that came through the phone. As evidence, Andusia was currently looking at Alice with widened eyes, her face vividly expressing her confusion on how this generation's Hero had suddenly become a Demon King.
Luna had similarly overheard Heris's greeting. However, there wasn't any change to her expression even when she heard Heris addressing Alice as "Lord Demon King." From the many occasions where Luna helped tie Alice's hair, she had already learned that Alice could access a tremendous amount of dark mana when wielding black panties. Even so, she did not suspect Alice's identity as the Hero.
After all, Luna had been hosting the real Demon King's Power inside her body when she first came across Alice. So, there was no way Alice could be the real Demon King. Not to mention, Alice could also wield the Hero's Sword. Hence, Alice could only be the Hero and nothing else.
Hence, when the person on the other side of the phone referred to Alice as "Lord Demon King," Luna didn't really care about it. Although she should have been this generation's Demon King, since she had already become Alice's exclusive maid, it was part of her duty to let Alice use this identity of hers.
"Life's been very dull," Heris said, sighing. "But Father told me to wait patiently. He says that you must be searching for an opportunity to change the fate of our race."
If it were up to Flaman and the others, they definitely wouldn't dare to voice such complaints to Alice. However, it was a different story for Heris. Although she treated Alice as the Demon King, she didn't pay too much attention to this status. Hence, she used a very friendly and natural tone when speaking to Alice.
Meanwhile, Alice helplessly chuckled when she heard Heris's words. She was indeed searching for an opportunity to change the demons' situation. However, the opportunity she was searching for was most likely different from the opportunity Flaman had in mind.
However, the difference in their goals wasn't too big of a problem. If she could take care of the strange law causing the demon realm's pollution, Flaman and most of the other demons would most likely change their opinion on war.
Strength might be worshiped in demon society, but demons also valued family and friendship very much. Unless it was for a justifiable cause, the demons wouldn't hope to see their friends and family get injured or die in an unnecessary war.
"An opportunity will come in the near future, so don't worry," Alice said, using this as an excuse to appease Heris. Then, she continued, "By the way, I recently made some human and elven friends in the human realm, and I'm thinking of taking them on a trip to the demon realm. However, I can't let them know that I am the Demon King."
"Human and elven friends?" Heris was briefly stunned. Then, she continued in a dissatisfied tone, "Fine. You are a princess in the human realm, after all. I guess it's necessary for you to make a few friends"
Alice didn't really understand what Heris was bothered about.
"So, you want us to conceal our identities and help look after those friends of yours? Did I get that right, Lord Demon King?"
Heris's voice continued coming through the phone. Although Alice could faintly hear the sound of Heris hitting her chest, the sound was relatively subdued since Heris was quite well-endowed. If it were Alice patting her chest, the sound would have been loud and clear.

"That won't be a problem. I'll tell my father about it."
"I'll have to trouble you with it, then. I'll be coming over as well," Alice said. Then, a helpless smile appeared on her face when she heard Heris shrieking in excitement. "Anyway, I'll see you in a few days, Heris."
