Chapter 212: excepto
Chapter 212: excepto
"Ahhh!!!" Alex wanted to scream out in pain. The energy that was pulling and pushing him had restricted every movement of his. The only thing that he could do was to move his vocal cords and use his brain. He had never felt anything like this.
Surprisingly, no matter how much Alex wanted to pass out, he didn't. He was still wide awake and suffering from the tug of war that the two forces were having with him. He was wondering what Nana had done and if she was going through the same thing that Alex was going through.
['Is this the special place that she wanted to take me to!!!'] Alex wanted to shout out but he couldn't.
['Hang in there Alex.'] Lex voiced his concerns.
"Nnn!!!" Alex attempted to call out to Nana.
"Hmm, you are doing well my disciple." Nana's voice reached Alex's ears.
['What the hell!! She sounds too calm to be going through the same thing as me!!!'] Alex thought.
"Don't worry, I'll help you when I think you need my help, I just want to see what the barrier between plain realms thinks about your abilities and potentials. I assume that you can feel two forces pulling at you.
Those forces are known as Excepto, and each plain realm has one. The excepto is a barrier between two plain realms, they are the ones that are responsible for keeping beings that aren't meant to be in another plain realm, in their realms.
But this barrier can be breached by a cultivator or being that surpasses its restrictive prowess. That's why I can come to the lower plain realm and leave it at will, I am stronger than the barrier. But there is a price to pay for leaving your designated plain realm and going to stay in a lower plain realm, your cultivation starts to drop if you stay in a plain realm lower than yours."
The forces that were pulling at Alex relaxed and that was his chance to catch his breath. He didn't know why but he was very grateful for it. Immediately he turned his neck and faced Nana who had been hovering by his side throughout the whole ordeal.
"Have you been beside me all this time?" He asked as he bent his back and placed his hands on his knee. He was breathing heavily as his knees were shaking non-stop.
"Yes. You did good," She complimented.
"Why did it stop?" He questioned.
"It hasn't stopped, I used my QI to shield your body." Nana pointed out and Alex noticed a faint blue light all over his body.
After he noticed the faint blue light that was shielding his body from the terrifying forces that had been pulling at him, He noticed the place that he was in now.
It looked like the sky, with clouds that stretched as far the eyes could see, like a spherical tube so big and wide that thousands of people could be there at the same time. Despite the neck-breaking speed that they were traveling at, it didn't look like they were going to reach the end of the spherical tube anytime soon.
"Where are we, is this the interesting place that you wanted to take me to?" Alex asked, he still hasn't figured out where Nana was taking him to.
Nana pinched his cheek lightly. "You still haven't figured out where we are going from what I was saying?"
"I was busy trying to keep my sanity, I didn't hear anything that you said," Alex uttered.
Nana chuckled.
"This isn't the interesting place that I said I was going to take you to. This is the tunnel between the lower plain realm and the ordain plain realm. I can't explain this to you again, later I'll tell you all about it." Nana stated.
"Wait we are going to the ordain plain realm?" Alex exclaimed.
"Yes, we are."
"Why? I mean I do want to go there but, why now? Wouldn't there be some kind of side effect if I go there with this cultivation level that I'm in?" He questioned.
"No, there is a side effect but it's nothing bad, if anything, it's something good for you. If someone like you can make it to a higher plain realm without meeting the requirements that warrant you access, then you will benefit from the QI in a higher plain realm. Do you know why higher plain realms are considered superior?" Nana asked as she let go of Alex's cheeks.
"No, not really." He answered
"Well, the main reason is the density of QI. The QI in higher plain realms is extremely dense, denser than the realms that are beneath them. And then the resources and chances of a lucky encounter with something life-changing, that are found in higher plain realms are by far greater than that of lower plain realms."
"I never expected that you were going to take me to another plain realm." An excited smile graced his face. He was thinking of the lucky encounters he could make in the ordain plain realm.
Alex's smile made Nana smile too. "If I had known that this was going to make you smile like this, I would have taken you to the celestial plain realm instead. Your smile is cute and makes you look a lot better than usual." Nana pointed out.
As soon as Alex heard Nana's comment, he cleared his throat and returned the usual neutral expression to his face. "I'm not cute." He muttered underneath his breath.
"Hahaha," Nana laughed at his reaction to her compliment. "When you act like this, how can't you be cute?" She ruffled his hair.
"Aren't you going to dress properly?" Alex pushed her hand off his hair.
"Why? You want to be the only one that sees me like this?" Nana smirked then proceeded to twirl a bit.
"No, if possible, I don't want to see so much of your skin."
"I'll change if you pick a cloth for me," Nana mentioned, and she meant it.
"Why do I have to be involved?" Alex complained.
"Because you were the one that asked me to change. If you want me to change then you have to show me what you want me to change into." Nana pulled Alex closer to her and hugged him from behind.
"What are you doing?" Alex struggled to get out of her embrace but his attempt was to no avail.
"Stay still, I'm going to put my mark on you," Nana whispered in his ears.
The heat from her breath made Alex blush.
['You better don't get turned on, I don't want to switch with you when you are in this woman's hands.'] Al threatened.
Alex too didn't want to switch with Al when he was around Nana, Al is bound to say or do something that will make Nana angry or get Alex punished. He closed his eyes and took in a deep breath.
"Good boy," Nana uttered lightly and pulled Alex's shirt open. She bit her index finger and used the blood on that finger to draw a circle on Alex's nape. A part of the circle that she drew was on top of his collar bone.
Alex felt the warmth of her blood on his nape and frowned. "What weird thing are you trying to me now?" He blurted out.
"You say it like I have done something weird to you before," Nana said as she placed her finger in the middle of the circle that she drew.
-Shhh!!
The part that her blood touched started to burn, "Argh." Alex grumbled.
Although Alex was immune to flames and heat to some extent, the heat that came from this burn wasn't the one that he was immune to nor was it one that he could understand. He tried to get himself out of her embrace again but he couldn't free himself.
The feeling of being powerless washed over him and he gave up on trying to escape from her. "Bear with it, for now, I wouldn't have done this if the people from my clan didn't try to force me into doing something that I don't want to do." Nana sighed.
"I need to let them know that I have a disciple that I cannot leave behind, a disciple that is like a family to me." She added.
After hearing that, Alex got curious. "What did they try to force you to do?" He asked.
"They were trying to marry me off to some other powerful clan." She answered without any hesitation.
This took Alex's mind off the burning sensation that he was feeling.
"And you think putting your mark on me will stop them from marrying you off?" Alex couldn't understand the logic behind her action.
"Yes, this mark means a lot of things, especially to my clan."
"Like?" Alex tilted his head and as he did, he could feel the softness of her chest. He stopped his movement, scared that he had made Nana angry.
"I'll tell you about the meaning later, now all you need to know is that this mark might bring troublesome people from my clan to you," Nana revealed.
"Huh?" Alex frowned, wondering what she meant by that
