The Emperor Reigns Them All

Chapter 366 Enter the Secret Region’s Center

Chapter 366 Enter the Secret Region’s Center

Li Ye stood in front of the huge gray vortex in the dense fog forest. Waving his sleeves, he split all the 49 copper pieces, which then organized into a fan shape in mid-air. In an instant, the bronzed parts gradually lit up. Each piece was surrounded by the flame-shaped green light and was integrated with each other.

Suddenly, a fierce gale sprang up. These intertwined bronze pieces spun up at lightning speed like a tornado. Most of the cultivators could not stand firm before the blustering Spiritual Qi. One after another, they retreated and stayed away from it.

Soon, these battleax pieces rose to a height of more than 30 meters. Its green light looked as dazzling as the noon sun. Many different runes appeared out of nowhere, flickering constantly. The scene looked as if a Great Cultivator were uttering incantations.

Before long, an ancient and vast aura, which was fierce to the extreme, descended from the mid-air and enveloped all the present cultivators. It made them shake with fear.

In everyone’s stare of amazement and awe, the runes vanished, and the green light dispersed. Then there appeared a huge battleax with simple but sharp outlines. It hung in mid-air like the crescent moon.

The battleax was as long as 2 meters. It was higher than ordinary people when it stood on the ground. With its whole body shining with ghostly light like flames, the battleax looked quite unfathomable.

Upon seeing this battleax, everyone was greatly shaken. At this moment, they all thought that the ax must be powerful enough to ruin the world. Unconsciously, they felt themselves as small and insignificant as ants. If this battleax could begin a new era for them, they would involuntarily fall in adoration before it.

There was even a splash of bright color flashing across Feihong Bodhisattva’s eyes.

As soon as the bronze battleax popped up, a strong sense of calling fell upon Li Ye. He felt as if a war-horse was calling for his soldier. As this battleax was put together by him, Li Ye was not surprised that it was close to him. Without pausing, Li Ye reached out to this behemoth in mid-air and held it from a distance.

“Buzzing!” A vigorous and resounding call sounded in everyone’s ears. It was like a resounding cry made by a sword when it was rushing out of its box eagerly.

The next moment, the battleax was already in Li Ye’s hands.

When the heavy battleax fell on his hand, Li Ye was nearly dragged to the ground due to a little bit of inattention. Luckily, he mobilized the Dragon Qi and held it firmly in time, which avoided embarrassing him in public.

The bronzed battleax was densely covered with runes. Li Ye felt that what he faced was not a Magic Treasure but a primitive living behemoth. The pressure and vigor of life also shocked Li Ye.

But all of this happened only in a split second. Li Ye didn’t waste any time. He quickly poured the Spiritual Qi into the battleax. Gradually, the dull battleax was covered with a layer of shining light as its runes were lit one after another.

When the whole battleax was glistening, it seemed to have come alive and obtained endless vitality. Holding it in his hands, Li Ye felt he could instantly open up a new world.

Li Ye did not hesitate. Abruptly, he sprang into the air from the ground, holding the ax high above her head. Then he chopped violently at the gray vortex gate.

Under the gazes of Feihong Bodhisattva, the Son of God, and the Holy Child, Li Ye made his way up like a carp leaping into the Dragon’s Gate. The battleax in his hands burst forth and sent out solid and dazzling rays of mysterious cyan light. Erecting above the gray vortex gate, this brilliant beam of light was now shining like a large piece of cyan silk!

This light beam which looked like a large piece of cyan silk cut into the gray vortex like it was cutting tofu. Meanwhile, the entire dense fog forest started to shake violently. The ground shook violently as if an earthquake were happening. The expressions of those people who were unsteady on their feet dramatically changed with fear.

With a loud bang, the gray vortex exploded, and then the dense fog drifted away like paper tape. Gradually, pieces of the fog scattered and disappeared.

After that, a straight and deep forest avenue appeared before everyone. Surrounded by those towering ancient trees on both sides, it led to the center of the dense fog. It seemingly had no end.

When Li Ye fell back to the ground, the battleax flickered up and disappeared in everyone’s sight. However, it did not vanish. Li Ye could feel that it only went to rest in some space. As long as he summoned it, it would reappear.

The gray vortex was cut open, and the avenue appeared before them. Evidently, it was the road into the dense fog forest. At this moment, these demon clan cultivators and Land Buddhism monks looked at each other with highly alert expressions.

As the dense fog forest was the center of the secret region, the Luck of heaven might have been in this forest. The Luck of heaven was everyone’s goal of entering the secret region, so getting it meant that they didn’t make this trip in vain.

After Li Ye landed, he stood facing the forest avenue, which was about 30 meters wide. Since the end of this avenue was hidden in the dense fog, no one knew where it led. But after the gray vortex disappeared, everyone’s vision was also widened. Li Ye faintly saw the outline of a mountain at the end of the avenue.

Feihong Bodhisattva came up to Li Ye and asked, “What did you see?”

Li Ye replied calmly, “Mountains.”

Feihong Bodhisattva said, “Right. I saw the mountains, too.”

Li Ye added. “Countless skeletons are under the mountains.”

Feihong Bodhisattva smiled lightly. “Is your skeleton there?”

Li Ye smiled at her. “How can I know it if I don’t go there to check?”

After that, they ordered their subordinates to go into the dense fog forest along this forest avenue.

These demon clan cultivators and the Land Buddhism monks lined up in two parallel rows and walked onto the forest avenue. The two groups were about twenty meters away from each other. It meant that these people were walking on both sides of the avenue.

The number of demon clan cultivators was about three times that of the Land Buddhism monks. Thus, the two teams’ length was different, and so their mental states differed. These demon clan cultivators were on their high horses while these Land Buddhism monks appeared timid with bowed heads.

The demon clan cultivators looked down at the Land Buddhism monks. Each of them appeared as lofty as an emperor. It was no wonder. The demon clan cultivators had great numerical superiority, plus it was Li Ye, their leader, opened the gate. Therefore, they naturally had a great sense of superiority.

Though those Land Buddhism monks lowered their heads humbly, they scowled back at those demon clan cultivators who overlooked them. They wanted to show their unyielding will even though they had much fewer people. Besides, their leader was Feihong Bodhisattva. These monks had tremendous confidence in her.

Li Ye and Feihong Bodhisattva walked side by side. They stepped into the dense fog forest along the avenue, and the distance between them was only about three steps.

With such a close distance, no matter which one of them launched the attack, he or she could pose a big threat to the other one.

But it seemed that they took no notice of the close distance. They moved forward, keeping a distance of three steps.

Thanks to this, those demon clan cultivators and Land Buddhism monks behind them did not clash.

The three steps’ distance represented trust.

The trust could be true or false, and it might disappear sometime. But at least before that, these demon clan cultivators and Land Buddhism monks could go together in peace.

The forest avenue was about several kilometers long.

After finishing walking such a long distance, many Land Buddhism monks were sweating. In fact, their marching speed was not fast. Usually, they would not sweat profusely. But as those monks were walking under enormous pressure, they surely would be drenched in sweat.

Likewise, sweat also broke out all over these demon clan cultivators’ bodies. It was not easy for those cultivators to watch out for the monks along the way, either. Although these cultivators were large in number, the other party had the powerful Feihong Bodhisattva, whom they could never ignore.

In any case, they finally came to the foot of a high mountain.

In unison, Li Ye and Feihong Bodhisattva looked up.
