Chapter 148 - HIDING A LIE!
PRECAP
"I always knew...always knew you were not fit to be his wife, ever."
Cynthia started. Everyone remained silent, watching her rant everything upon Pauline as if it was her fault from the beginning.
"Do not tell me how to be a good wife, Cynthia. If you were one, then your ex-husband would not have come to another woman...me to find love when you were both married!"
Pauline retorted back in sass. Cynthia was fuming in anger by that time. She was a very tall woman, towering over Pauline.

"My mother nor I would be ever as bold like her to speak that out like that. I could not even see or bear to see you with another woman that is not me."
She let out, honestly, rising up to look at Kian's eyes. Their eyes locked into each other.
"Neither I you with another man!"
Kian replied, still his eyes fixed on hers. She pecked his lips and then leaned back on his chest.

The things that the woman told Kian had been ringing in Tinsley's head for a while now.
There was nothing to be panicked about. What she had told him or suggested to him was nothing wrong at all.
But there was a fear in her head...in her conscience. That this baby fever was still very much present in her husband.
Even though he said that he understood her. He understood her viewpoint, her decision to not have a child at the moment and that he was willing to wait...it did not sit well with him one bit.
Amidst of those words that he spoke out, she could see it in his eyes, in his features, that deep down he still wanted it.
And she did not know how long more...how much more fights in between them would clearly make him understand that they were not going to have a child anytime soon.
Regardless of it all, she was also scared that he would go back to being distant with her and stop communicating with her like the last time.
She could stand anything in the world but that. The silent treatment was her kind of hell on earth and he knew that.
Sometimes she felt like he used that to make her roll back to his command. It was silly to think so but knowing Kian, a man who did not like being opposed, who knew?
So with all these thoughts juggling in her head, she was thinking of a solution in between.
Something that would not make her pregnant, not make him tell that she was not going to have a baby yet and not build another wall in between them for this issue.
She had been successfully deceiving her husband and working at Agatha's cafe without any problem.
Maybe that was the reason why she was waiting for Madison at the moment in the cafe to help her with this issue too.
She checked the time on her phone and waited patiently after delivering the vanilla and chocolate cupcakes to the counter.
The bell rang in the door and she looked up to see Madison rushing in through the door.
She waved at her and they both got into their all-time booth, near the garden side.
"Hey!"
She greeted Madi to which she only nodded her head. Madi looked exhausted.
"Is everything alright?"
Tinsley asked. Madi did not answer right away. She drank the glass of water served on the table.
"Hell no!! I did not know dating a model will be this tiresome. Maybe I did know but I well did not think it through, you know blah blah blah!!"
Madi blurted out in one breathe. She did seem so worn out. Her hairs were dishevelled and her clothes were untidy too.
She ordered some food for them and then waited for a few seconds before Madison asked Tinsley her reason for calling her.
"I have a problem!"
"I know! You do not call me if you don't have one."
Madison sassed. Tinsley narrowed her eyes at Madi questioning if she was being serious at that moment and when Madi did not blink, she knew that she was.
Even though part of it was true. She did call Madi to visit her here whenever she had something going on.
But regardless of it, she always kept track of her and Anna Maria through texts.
"Kian is not over the baby thing and I m afraid that he is not going to stop until I m with child. I know you are going to say that I should tell him I don't want it which I did. He just won't back down, Madi. "
Tinsley started and stopped to take a breath. Madison listened to her silently.
"And I m tired of fighting with him. I just don't know how to not get pregnant because we have a lot of unprotected sex and he would never use a condom so..."
Madison cringed at the last part. She nodded her head, seeing and understanding how much stressed Tinsley was.
"Then how come you are not pregnant yet??"
Madison questioned since she mentioned about having lots of unprotected intercourse already.
"I m not. I m on my period at the moment. And I make him finish in my mou...."
"Ok! Ok! I do not need to hear that!"
Madison stopped her right away. Tinsley blushed. She did not know Madi would shy off.
"Fine! I get it. Why don't you get on protection??"
"But how??"
Tinsley implored. She knew what Madi was suggesting but how could she get on protection without making her husband know about it??
"Get an appointment with a gynaecologist and get your monthly contraception. Hide it from him just like you have been hiding about this job."
Madi advised. Tinsley was sceptical at first about it. She was going to lie to her husband once again and did not know if it was the correct thing to do so.
Her mind was in a state of frenzy. He did tell her that he was willing to wait but then why would he have unprotected sex with her if he was willing to wait??
It was that question that made her come to this point. She did not like lying one bit. She had not lied about such big things ever in her life.
She did lie about clothes, money and stuff like that but she did come clean shortly about it all.
Here the situation was different though. She was working behind her husband's back even when he asked her to stop. And now she was going to lie to him again about such a gravious matter.
But she was not left with any choices. Sex was inevitable and she was going to end up being pregnant anytime and to avoid it, this was the only way.
So without any delay, she followed Madison's advice and booked an appointment anonymously with a doctor in the city.
Madi drove her to the hospital and after being checked, the doctor prescribed her monthly shots which were to be taken religiously every thirty days from the start.
She was nervous throughout the journey. When the doctor asked her about her reason for taking the shots, she told the doctor the half-truth that they were not ready to have a baby yet when her husband actually was.
Madison provided her credit card to Tinsley for purchasing the tablets so that Kian would not come to know about it.
Tinsley wanted to pay her back which Madi denied of. After buying her tablets for three months straight, they drove back to the town.
Tinsley very carefully made her way inside the bedroom. She heard the shower running in the bathroom so she took that chance to find a secret spot where she could hide the pills.
She walked around the bedroom in search of that one secret spot. She could not keep it near the bedside drawers as Kian kept his laptop there.
She finally made her way inside the cupboard. She thrashed her clothes to one side and wrapped the tablets in a white handkerchief before shoving it in between the stack of her neatly folded clothes.
She knew that he hardly came here so she was safe. She just had to make sure to take the shots regularly without making him notice she did.
When the bathroom door clicked opened, she jerked back and saw Kian staring at her with narrow eyes.
For a moment, she thought he saw it all...he saw everything but when he strode forward in her direction and slammed his lips onto hers, she sighed in relief.
She kissed him back with the same fervour, not holding back as she had been for a few weeks, afraid of being knocked up.
He picked her up and walked them towards the bed. She voluntarily scooted up, spreading her thighs apart for her husband to take her...hiding a lie!
