[Destined Fate description]
[The user is destined to live a life of a predetermined destined fate.]
[What is fated to happen can not be changed. If fortune strikes, then it will always happen, yet when bad fortune strikes, then it will always also happen.]
.

[Mutated Hardened Scales description]
[Thin yet physically resistant hard scales cover the user’s body.]
.....
[The hard scales will significantly reduce the damage from any blunt impact or sharp slash.]
[The scales have been tempered by a mutation, giving them increased heat resistance, increased durability, increased scale regeneration, and increased impact resistance.]
.
Vincent and Kazumi overlooked the two traits the baby was born with and stared intensely at the condition section. The baby was poisoned because of the mutated blood and was in critical condition.
[The situation is more urgent than we thought about.][]
*Gulp* Vincent quickly digested the situation and understood he had to save the two immediately. He looked at the mother, huffing, and puffing as if she could barely breathe, and brought up her status window.

The female lizardman wasn’t faring too well either. Vincent now had to make a choice before the parent and child died. Vincent didn’t know how long the two had, but he had to act before the grim reaper reaps their lives.
Vincent didn’t have time to worry about those who didn’t know of his identity. He felt the need to save the two in front of him, even at the cost of using magic contracts to preserve the regular life in the mansion.
Vincent looked at Sakura, Sofy, Mimi, and Yula. “I am going to save them.” He told them with his gaze brimming with resolve.
“That would be best. I can smell your unique blood in both of them. The little one has too much, and I can feel both types of blood trying to merge, yet the little one is too weak to resist the ordeal before the merge is finished.” Mimi explained. She shook her head and continued, “... if it is possible that is...”
After hearing Vincent and Mimi speak, Sakura, Sofy, and Yula knew there was one way to save the two. It was to brand them with the retainer mark and restore their bodies as if they were reborn.
The time soon slowed to a stop, and Vincent appeared on an emerald throne. He gazed down and saw the female lizardman and the baby beside her.
The silence didn’t last for long. The baby started crying for the first time, causing the female lizardman to look at her little daughter.
The female lizardman lifted her daughter and became delighted to hear her crying. She looked closer at her daughter’s scales, and her eyes opened wide.
The female lizardman moved her gaze at Vincent. He was quickly approaching them along with Kazumi, Wolfie, and Freerie.
“My... my god, you are our Shah Rak Tan! The one the prophecy mentions about my god bringing the fated one to the world safely.”
[Shah Rak Tan? Prophecy? Are you saying Vincent has been prophesied to get summoned to this world?] Kazumi curiously questioned.
“Yes, my goddess. The prophesied one can help the fated one be born. The fated child will have green scales that sheen like jewels. Just like my daughter.”
Vincent and Kazumi arrived beside the mother and daughter. They took a good look, and the cute crying baby indeed had scales that appeared like an accessory instead of an organic scale.
[The scales are like this because the trait of the scales is different. But if you said fated child being born, can it the Destined Fate trait the little one has?]
“Did the goddess confirm my daughter is the fated one?”
“Before we continue this conversation, can you let your daughter feel comfortable and stop crying? I think she needs to know her mother’s touch.” Vincent suggested while Kazumi nodded in agreement.
The female lizardman understood the crying was making it difficult for a conversation. She gently swayed her daughter, and the crying gradually reduced.
Vincent cut a small piece of emerald crystal. He started pinching parts of it away, and the small piece of emerald crystal looked vaguely like a pacifier.
Vincent extended his hand and said, “How about a pacifier? Oh, wait, you probably don’t know what it means. This material should be soft for those with a connection with me. She should be able to suckle on this since she has become a mutated lizardman.”
[Not a bad idea.] Kazumi agreed.
“Okay, my Shah Rak Tan.”
Vincent carefully placed the pacifier in the baby’s mouth, and she started to suckle on the pacifier cutely.
“She liked it.” The female lizardman happily said with a bright smile.
[Not bad, Vincent. You might make a great father one day.]
“Sure.” Vincent sarcastically agreed.
The Soul Domain Bridge became quiet of the crying. Vincent looked at the happy mother gazing at her cute little daughter.
“Can we know how long the prophecy has been circulating among the lizardfolk?” Vincent asked before shaking his head and continuing, “We didn’t read any of this information from books.”
The female lizardman looked at Vincent. She nodded and started explaining.
“Shah Rak Tan means the one who will bring the greenest and most perfect lizardman to the world. That is what an oracle foretold many decades ago after using half her lifespan to predict a way for our race not to become weak after giving birth.”
“The oracle is said to have used the remainder of her life as a sacrifice to send a blessing in the future to the destined fated child. The parents of the fated child could know that Shah Rak Tan is before them.”
“Already foreseen?... Wait! Are you saying I somehow have the ability to help female lizardfolk conceive a child without their body becoming weak? Are you saying I can save the lives of many from a death caused by their second, third, or fourth child?” Vincent questioned.
“You are our Shah Rak Tan, which means yes. How you can save us is a thing only you know.”
[Sigh. These prophecies are always vague.] Kazumi complained.
“Yeah. I supposedly can help, but how is up to me to figure out...” *sigh* Vincent shook his head and looked, quiet happy baby. “At least her soul is healthy. Her body will be too if she can somehow accept to become my retainer.”
[First, the deer woman told us we were the beacon to gather the scattered beastmen. Now you are the beacon to gather all the lizardfolk. Are we building a village in the future or something?]
[We can’t fit that many people in the mansion, nor are we wealthy enough to buy much land for them to live in.]
“Let’s think one step at a time, shall we? Mimi mentioned her father. Let’s hope he doesn’t discover us before being swarmed with beastmen and lizardmen.” Vincent said.
[Yeah. We do not know what the future holds.]
The female lizardman looked at Vincent’s arms after a short while. Both arms weren’t injured in the Soul Doman Bridge, yet she could still remember the feel of her sharp teeth biting his arms and how guilty she felt injuring such a kindhearted person. Not to mention her race’s Shah Rak Tan.
“I am sorry for injuring the Shah Rak Tan more than needed. I will explain the reason why we ingest the blood of another before childbirth.” She apolitically said.
“My parents told me how the oracle was the one to start the tradition of biting a person who isn’t our mate nor of our race. It was to help the child grow stronger, and if fate allows, we could bite the Shah Rak Tan.”
“Even if we do not bite the Shah Rak Tan, the blood could still help us recover slightly because we lose more blood during childbirth than all the other races.”
Vincent and Kazumi looked at each other. They immediately understood the oracle must’ve had the talent to see the future. The oracle must have seen a pregnant female lizardman biting Vincent’s arm and letting his mutated blood enter her mouth.
Furthermore, the oracle could have also seen further in the future after the baby with green hard jewel-like scales was born. The oracle could also have seen how the baby was going to be a girl and possibly have a way to conceive without becoming weakened.
[The ability of foresight... I can’t believe a trait like that exists, yet I was attracted by the strange mana fluctuation. This was the first time it happened, and now we have pieced enough of this puzzle to know the reason why.]
[This is enough proof to show how the oracle wasn’t fake. The oracle indeed did bless or curse the little one in front of us with a trait that caught my attention. As if the oracle knew we would meet the mother on the day she was going to give birth.]
“Your assumption could be right Kazumi, but we do not know how the little one’s future is going to be. ” Vincent said, his chin.
The baby moved her gaze and saw Vincent rubbing his chin. She also saw many butterflies happily fluttering their wings.
The baby lifted her tiny hands and smiled. Everyone could hear a faint giggle before the sound of the emerald pacifier being suckled resumed.
