Chapter 198 - Bryana's Sadness
Brianna entered her room and immediately sat on the edge of the bed. In tears, she looked down at the bed where she and Dean made love a few hours ago so hot, sweet and the image still lingers in her memory. Now, everything just passed by leaving a very deep wound just because of the mouth of a man who said a slander. Slowly, the pregnant woman squeezed the sheet and leaned her body on the pile of pillows in a sideways position.
"Why did you leave so soon without listening to Raymond's explanation? I know this hurts you, but is your love for me so small that you leave without thinking about how I feel?" Bryana continues to cry with her memory only fixated on Dean who was never even angry at her, always giving her attention, sweet and gentle attitude. All of that stuck in her memory and she didn't want to lose that figure from her life.
Ceklek....
Monica entered the room and looked at Bryana who was still sobbing on the bed which was covered with plain white sheets. She walked over to her sister-in-law and sat beside her.
"Bryana, I know this must be so hard for you, but you have to believe all this will pass and you have to be strong through this problem," Monica said while holding Bryana's shoulder.
"How can I be strong when what always makes me strong is gone? You know, he is like a light that makes my dark life bright," Bryana said in a hoarse voice. The tears that flowed uncontrollably, soaked the pillow, even now she felt dizzy because she had been crying for a long time because the facts made her very shocked.
"You have Calvin, there is me who will always support you, and remember that you also have to be strong for the baby in your womb," Monica exclaimed patiently, even though she didn't know what she would do if she were in Bryana's position.
"I feel like I've lost half my life, Monica. I'm tired... I feel like I don't have the spirit anymore, I want him... Only him," Bryana whispered. Slowly a feeling of dizziness spread so painfully in her head, she was very weak and her vision was getting blurry. Slowly she was unconscious.
"Bryana... Bryana!" Monica tried to wake Bryana up by lightly patting her cheek and looking at her worriedly. "Oh my God, she passed out."
Monica immediately fixed Bryana's position until she lay down and tried to find help. She left the room down the stairs to the ground floor, then ran out of the house intending to meet Raymond who he thought was still in front of the mansion with Louis.
"Raymond isn't there? Gosh!" Monica went back into the house and asked Emma and Lauren for help, then tried to contact Stevan's family doctor and also contact Raymond.
___
Raymond had just arrived at the airport. He immediately got out of the car with Louis and found his car, which was used by Dean, parked in the airport yard.
"He's right here, sir," Louis said as he approached the car and found out whether Dean was still in it or not.
Raymond followed Louis who checked the car and found it unlocked even the key was still in place. "He's already in the airport. We have to find him quickly!" he exclaimed.
Louis walked briskly into the airport followed by Raymond, they even sprinted.
Drett... Drett...
His smartphone in his leather jacket pocket rang. Raymond paused and took the smartphone. He saw an incoming call from Monica, then immediately answered it.
"Hello, Monica."
"Raymond, where are you? Bryana has fainted, I'm afraid something might happen to her!" Monica said over the phone, sounding really worried.
"I'm trying to catch up with Dean. I'll be back as soon as I find him. Pray for me and... You better call the doctor to check on Bryana."
"Okay."
The phone line was hung off. Raymond chased after Louis again until he arrived at the check-in counter. they immediately inquired about the identity of the passenger named Dean Jackson.
"The plane just left two minutes ago, sir. We're late," said Louis wearily. He looked at the display screen showing the departure schedule for the plane that Dean was traveling in.
"We'd better go home because Bryana passed out," Raymond shouted as he hurried out of the airport. Louis also followed him with disappointment and pity for Dean and Bryana who were separated due to a misunderstanding.
'If Dean knew the truth, he wouldn't have left. Mrs. Bryana will surely be even sadder that Mr. Raymond and I didn't catch him,' Louis thought with regret for being late to meet Dean.
___
Dean sat quietly on the plane in the economy class passenger cabin. He silently stared at his marriage ring with Bryana attached to his sturdy ring finger. The man left without carrying any suitcases or provisions other than his passport and wallet, while he had already thrown away his smartphone because he didn't want to be contacted by anyone.
'You and Clarissa are my love, but maybe we should never be together because it will only cause a wound. I love you but I can't stop hating your father. I hope that one day this hatred will pass, and I will be able to see your beautiful face again. I will miss you so much,' Dean thought. Without realizing it, tears just flowed when she remembered every sweet moment with Bryana and Clarissa.
Sofia, who had been asleep for a long time, finally woke up and looked confused looking around, then looked at the part of her body that was attached to the seat belt. She realized that she was in a plane that was flying.
"Dad," Sofia called, glancing at her father who was sitting beside her right by the window.
Dean immediately wiped his tears and turned to look at Sofia. "You woke up."
"Are we going back to Jakarta?" Sofia asked.
"Yeah, we're going home early because mom and Calvin have to stay in London to take care of grandpa Stevan," Dean explained lying because it was impossible, to tell the truth to his young daughter.
"Why didn't daddy wake me up? I should have said goodbye to Calvin and mommy!" Sofia protested and almost cried.
"Sorry, next time we will meet them again," said Dean with an unsure look.
Sofia chose to remain silent because she was very upset and sorry for getting up late so she didn't say goodbye to Calvin and her mother. They were both people she loved besides her father and grandmother.
___
At home, Bryana gets an examination from a white-faced male doctor. She was still unconscious, even her face looked pale and damp from crying too long.
"Doctor, how about her condition? Is there a problem with her pregnancy?" asked Monica who had been watching Bryana being examined. She was standing by the bed with Emma and Lauren.
"She was in shock and dehydrated, perhaps thinking too much. I will give intravenous fluids to restore her strength," said the doctor with blonde hair and a tall, thin build.
Monica nodded and let the doctor put the IV device on Bryana's right hand.. She chose to wait by sitting on the sofa, while Lauren and Emma came out of the room.
