Vol. 6 - Chapter 313 - Boss Explanation, Roles Assigning and Boss Battle!

"The boss of this ‹Foodstuff and Livestock Dungeon› is quite special, more precisely there are three bosses. The chicken-type ‹Boss Cocco›, the pig-type ‹Boss Puby›, and the cow-type ‹Boss Mogyu›. Each is as strong as Beg-high."

First was the preface about bosses.

It would be just time wasting to repeat it many times, so I took this chance when everyone is still here to explain.

"This will be our first battle with multiple bosses, and it's going to be as annoying as you may think. Tank must handle all bosses at once, and if tank is out of commission, the danger of party wipeout will loom over us. So I want healers to be more focused on tank's situation than ever."

Members appeared slightly restless when I explained so far. A multiple boss fight and with all three bosses in the same area, we have to fight all of them together so I guess it is going to be quite a bumpy ride.

Though on the flip side, we will also receive three times the boss drops. In other words, 15 items. This is a delicious offer in literal terms. The value increases by twice since all the ingredients are high quality! A mouth-watering offer indeed.

Speaking of it, though, there is no ‹Normal Boss Drop› in count. The reward is one treasure chest.

This is a phenomenon unique to the bosses of Extra-Dungeon, and the respective rewards changes also changes depending on the Extra-Dungeon.

Oops, I got derailed in between. Let's go back to the boss' explanation.

We have fought battles with bosses that are accompanied with their subordinated, but not the battles with multiple bosses together.

This is going to be the first such battle for Eden too. And it's not going to be just two, but three bosses. Even if there are two tanks in the party, one of them has to handle two. So I can understand it's bound to cause a restlessness among them.

Though, no one raised their hand to ask any question. I had already told them to listen to everything beforehand before asking questions.

I continued my explanation when they calmed down.

"Now I will explain about their behaviour pattern. Remember it well, especially tanks."

Everyone listened earnestly. As expected of Eden members, they understood just how important information about the boss was.

"All three bosses uphold the Beg-high level strength, however they can use skills just like intermediate dungeon bosses. In particular, pay attention to the pig type ‹Boss Puby›, who can walk on two legs and moves very fast. You will be in for a painful experience if you underestimate it as just a pig."

I proceed to explain about the three bosses in turn.

Once the explanation about their behaviour pattern was over, I then moved on the tactic to defeat them.

"The basic practise is to start with taking down the weakest boss first. Among the three, 'Boss Cocco and the pig 'Boss Pupy' are weak. Only the cow boss, 'Boss Mogyu,' is extremely tough, so it's better to deal with it later. One strategy is to have two or more tanks in the party, and took the chance while one person holds the cow type boss back to first hunt the chicken or pig. Things will be much easier if you follow this pattern."

I gave advice and things to be cautious of after which the explanation came to an end.

Now was the questioning time.

Revealing too much information may lessen the fun of defeating the boss, that's why I always keep some information. Explaining about everything may result in hampering their own judgement, and it can reduce the feeling of fulfilment one gets after fighting a tough opponent. But I do make sure that they’re equipped with sufficient knowledge to avoid a total defeat.

As for further information, it's up to the members to ask. This questioning time is basically for this.Though, whether they pry for further information or they try to find the answer by themselves is fine either way.

However, since this is the first time we are facing multiple bosses, a few members raised their hands. Sierra was the first to raise her hand so I motioned for her to continue.

"Then, let's start with Sierra."

"Um, will they use magic or long-range attacks?"

"No, they are basically close-range physical type bosses. But they do have area attacks."

"I see...... I understand."

Sierra nodded after pondering for a moment.

Knowing her, she probably understood even the things I didn't mention. Since there are multiple bosses, weaknesses and strategies need to be prepared beforehand, or else it would be difficult to defeat them on the first try.

She is the leader of the second party after all, she must be formulating a plan on how to take them down. She and Celestine are also the one assuming the role of tank in the second party, so more so for her to come up with a plan.

Instead though, they have long-range attacker Lana and Shizu, and agile Karua. This is an interesting party if I have to say so.

Speaking of the party, Hannah and Ester failed in the lottery so they are to participate in the third group. The remaining three slots will be filled by soliciting members from other groups. And if we have multiple members eager to still fight, we will draw the lottery again. There are two tank slots and one attacker slot, so I guess I will make a tank lottery and an attacker lottery as well.

Besides them, Rina is going to join us using ‹Guest Bracelet› to study the boss battle.

After answering several more questions, everyone disperse in their respective groups.

As assigned, Lana and the others headed to the farming and livestock areas, while we went through the innermost gate.

We passed through the safety area and ascertained that we have no one waiting there, we entered the boss room.

"Is that the boss? It's so big!"

"I see, so they're not animals, but monsters."

The bosses, the chicken-like ‹Boss Cocco›, the pig-like ‹Boss Puby›, and the cow-like ‹Boss Mogyu›, were sitting in the back.

Lulu was surprised by their size, while Celia seemed to have reached a conclusion as she observed their appearance.

As Ceilia said, the bosses are indeed animal-like, but not the animals, they were completely monsters. They were each about 3 metres in size, with ‹Boss Ccoco› having red glowing eyes and wings in the shape of fists, ‹Boss Puby› was on its two legs as it licks its front paws, while ‹Boss Mogyu› was on its four legs and its body completely concealed in an armour. The horns on the helmet were especially cool.

In short, none matched the impression of animal-like at all.

"Then I am going to gather Pig-san aggro-desu! Rika-san, can you handle Chicken-san and Cow-san? I am not very confident in handling two bosses at once-desu."

"Leave them to me. I will handle them. I will leave ‹Boss Puby› to you."

Pamela expressed her lack of confidence as she and Rika quickly stepped forward to take the helm. Well She is an evasive tank, that much was expected.

Rika, too, understood the situation as she nodded to divide the roles.

The battle begins.
