Chapter 63
Chapter 63: Chapter 63 – Psychological Warfare
By early morning, the Ethan woke up dazedly. He glanced around, finding only his brother nearby. But he did not panic like normal, because he was able to hear the old lady’ conversation with Feng last night.
He shook his brother awake and both of them got ready for the day.
“Should we see how Feng is doing in her training?” Aiden glanced at him with his brows raised.
“No, we have something even more important to do.” he led him over to the room at the corner of the floor and knocked.
A tired servant opened the door whilst yawning. “What do you want?” he glanced down. “Oh, it’s you. The kids with madam Hiliana. Are you here to meet sir Yubi.. no Sir Yu?”
“hmm...” Ethan glanced at him expectantly.
The servant named Felix led them inside and handed them some refreshments. Soon a tired figure wobbled out of the room.
.....
The first thing Yubiri noticed was the blank stare of the kid, who was silently eating cookies. “What are you looking at?” he grumbled to Ethan.
“Your ugly mug,”
“What did you say?” Yubiri walked towards him and glanced down challengingly. These two midgets have been annoying him from the moment he met them. First of all, they were too close to Feng, and they were too intimate with her.
If they were normal children, he would have excused their behaviour, but these two clearly had an adult soul inside their body.
“What do you want now?” he growled in annoyance.
“We are here to learn from you.”
“Not a chance in hell,” Yubiri smirked at him. “Do you think you both are qualified to even learn from me? Don’t make me laugh,” he walked away, laughing.
Aiden, who was quiet till now, glanced at Ethan with a sweet smile. {‘My dear brother, we have to deal with him phytologically. let me take the reigns,’}
“It was Feng who told us that you promised to be our tutor.”
Yubiri glanced back at him with his eyes narrowed.
“What will she think of you when she finds out that you are a person who does not even keep his word? Tsk, tsk, she will be utterly disappointed don’t you think?”
Aiden smirked at him, while Ethan glared at him.
Yubiri turned over and sat opposite him. “You think you can threaten me? Do you even know who I am?”
“Yes, the great mage Yubiri,” Aiden bravely whispered.
Yubiri’s eyebrows went up in surprise. “I guess the old lady yapped about my identity to you all,” he grumbled, scratching his chin.
“No, on the contrary, it was Feng who told us that,” Aiden gave him a dubious smirk. “Great mage Yubiri, she knows who you are. that’s why she is being kind to you do you think she will even think about befriending you if not for your identity?”
“Don’t overstep your bound!!!!” Yubiri shout up and slammed the table.
“What? I was only telling the truth. Did it hurt your barely there ego?” Aiden casually leaned back and handed Ethan another cookie. Ethan silently crunched on it, whist glaring at him.
“We are here because we know your weakness, Yubiri. It’s Feng.” Aiden continued.
“Don’t even think about hurting her!!!” Yubiri shouted as his eyes turned a weird shade of gold. His white hair suddenly turned jet black and grew long, fluttering behind him.
“We have no intentions of hurting her.” Ethan said, sipping the tea. “In fact, we have every intention of protecting her with our lives,”
Yubiri calmed down a bit. “That doesn’t even sound believable.”
“Believe it or not. She is our benefactor and we are indebted to her for the life we have. We shall never hurt her at any point in our lives,” Aiden said, as he crossed his legs over. His smirking glanced at Yubiri. “She is indebted to us too,”
The great mage finally calmed down completely, or at least he appeared to be. His face became stoic as he glanced at the two in front of him. “What is your actual purpose of learning from me?”
“To protect Feng,” Ethan answered without hesitation.
“Bullshit.” Yubiri leaned back on his chair in an unceremonious manner. He glared at them both. “I believe you are using Feng’s identity to learn from me. I admit that is a smart plan but it might backfire as well.”
The magic in the room surged.
The small magic candle flickered, and the flame flashed out and formed few small flame swords around them.
Ethan and Aiden remained calm.
“I can burn you to ashes and throw the blame at someone else.”
“You can, but then you will have no reason to approach Feng.” Aiden whispered with a laugh. “Great mage, you agreed to teach us only because you wanted to be close to her, right? Won’t you lose that purpose?”
The flame went off instantly. And Yubiri sighed. “You both... what are you?”
“I have no intentions of answering to this,” Aiden whispered and Ethan nodded to this.
“Fine. I’ll teach you both.”
