Chapter 259 Notification
Chapter 259 Notification
"We really did it, Raphael!"
"Yeah! We did conquer this dungeon!"
Once the Dungeon Boss finally lost its life, Big Sis and I immediately gave each other a tight hug and celebrated our success as we hovered midair. Driven by our obvious happiness and excitement, we even exchanged light kisses on the lips.
"Raphael! Louise! Congratulations!"
Mother's cheerful voice rang out as we kissed. We looked downward and saw Mom and Mother had been nearby; both were waving at us. After I stored the corpse, we immediately descended so that we could share the celebration with them.
"Mom, Mother."
"Oh, my children."
We immediately wrapped our arms around our corresponding favorite parent as soon as we took our land. I was hugging and kissing Mom while Big Sis tended Mother.
"Congratulations, Raphael," Mom whispered in my ear. "Discovering a dungeon and then conquering it is most likely the greatest achievement an adventurer could ever have, and you and your sister actually did it with flying colors. I am very proud of you, my son~."
"Thanks, Mom. Mmph..."
We then crossed our lips and lasciviously felt each other's tongue. Of course, I could not forget Mother, and then I exchanged partners with Big Sis after that.
"Congratulations once again, Raphael." Mother expressed her pleasure after we kissed. "Let's have a celebration at home!"
"Yes, Mother, let's. But now, we have to check the stuff we got today."
Sensing that something was coming up, we four shifted our attention to the center point of this place. A moment later, the ground protruded, and the anticipated object had emerged from the earth: our reward chest.
"So this is the Reward Chest of a 100-floored dungeon..." Mother muttered as we were walking toward the dirt-covered chest. "It seems to have appeared similarly with the empire's, though."
"Of course it would be the same, Mylene. The reward chest of every dungeon we have conquered has the same appearance after all."
When we got closer, I put my hands on the chest and rubbed it. The thing I had been holding contained the greatest reward a dungeon could ever grant, and we were about to see the grandest prize.
"What do you think about what's inside, Raphael?" Big Sis asked.
"Hmm. I don't know." I shrugged my shoulders. "Maybe a legendary weapon or something better? This is a hundred-floor dungeon, so it should be the latter."
"I hope it will be weapons this time."
Big Sis then put her hand on the chest and arpeggiated her fingers on it. After that, she placed her palm again before we gently opened the chest; there was no lock on the chest after all.
"..."
All our eyes were focused on the inside of the chest as it was slowly opening up. Soon after, the lid pivoted to a certain angle, and the inside gradually unfolded before our naked eyes.
"And our rewards are—"
◆◇◆◇◆◇
Somewhere in the world, there was an enclosed chamber. The room was not that spacious, and only a single metal door was the only way to get in and out of the room.
The interior of the room consisted of things strangely different from the ones nowadays: futuristic and ahead of these ages' technological advancement. In the eyes of modern earthlings, the chamber was like that of a control room.
The room was dim, but the interior was illuminated by the pale blue lights emitted by the panels from those futuristic objects. The panels displayed text and images about the place, such as live footage.
And inside that room, there was a single person, a man. He seemed to be in his late twenties or early thirties, with shoulder-length pale blonde hair. His complexion was fair, and he stood over six feet if he was not sitting on his seat.
But there was something that differed from humans. A pair of horns similar to a markhor sprouted diagonally from his head. He was actually not a human being; rather, he was from a powerful race called the Dragonoid.
Click. Click. Click.
Sitting on his seat, he rested his cheeks on his knuckles as he was repeatedly poking and swiping his right index finger on the big panel in the middle of the counter. And he was seemingly bored.
He was currently playing a card game on the panel to kill time. The game was a default application on the computer-like device in the room, aside from the essential apps for managing the place.
Ding!
"Hmm?"
As he was dragging the four of spades to place below the five of hearts, a notification suddenly popped up on the task bar. The man took notice of it and minimized the game to read the notification message.
"Oh, somebody else took a new dungeon, it is." He muttered as he knew what kind of notification it was. "But the last one was around a few months ago, too soon. Usually, there were years of interval, suspicious."
The notification was all about a worldwide announcement of a successful dungeon conquest. The notification was not only sent to him but to all the dungeon masters, such as himself.
The notification only contained an announcement; the level of the dungeon or the names of the conquerors were not included in the content. But no matter what, the news about a dungeon being conquered was still a big deal to the Masters, especially since there was a very short interval between the recent ones.
The place he was in was actually inside a dungeon—the bottom part of the dungeon, to be exact. He was a Dungeon Master of a large dungeon. Not only was he a Dungeon Master, he was a ruler of his territory as well.
And unlike the other dungeons out there, where the proprietorship was handed from generation to generation, the draconic man was the only Dungeon Master of his dungeon ever since he conquered it a very long time ago.
"Hm. Whatever. Let's welcome this one and get as much information as I can."
In the end, the man decided to leave a message on the other side before he left the room.
