Chapter 108 [Exodus Blaze]
A wall of blue ice shot one hundred meters over the battlefield.
When it reached the Stalkwalker, the beast screamed as ice spears prickled its body.
They weren't strong enough to pierce through the skin, but moving left the sensation of stepping on a building block.
"KEEEYYYAAAHHKKK!"
Tyrene collapsed again.
Frost Nova was an extremely deadly and taxing attack.
The spell isn't designed for calamity range attacks, but she used it over 100 meters across and 30 meters wide to assault the ground around its knees.
Helix grabbed her face and forced her mouth open.
—
"What would be your attack strategy?" Tyrene asked.
Helix nodded and began.
"Riley would use Cyclone to pick up the shattered earth and stab earth fragments into its calves and ankles." Helix strategized.
"The Cyclone will leave the ground saturated with water you can freeze with [Frost Nova], making the ground extremely slippery."
"I see. So your strategy revolves around making the beast lose balance so that its mobility is restricted." Tyrene remarked.
"Exactly. Just falling will cause massive shockwaves that will blow the low-level soldiers away." He confirmed.
"A Smash Attack or [Ground Stomp] would wipe them out completely.
So we need to restrict its movement and cause it to lose its balance so it can't attack.
We'll simultaneously prevent it from walking.
No one can attack when it walks because they'll lose balance.
So unless it's on the ground, the melee fights stand no chance against it."
Tyrene pondered the attack strategy.
"That's true, but the same is true if you use Cyclone.
If the ground becomes saturated, the melee fighters would be running in a massive quagmire trap.
Quake too.
These spells are great to limit its mobility, but we'll need attack power if it survives this many calamity attacks." She reasoned.
Helix thought about it.
"You're right. We'd have to use [Tornado] and [Compact Storm] to make it compact and cut its legs."
—
"Don't just stand there, you cowards!" General Lackbolt yelled at the top of his lungs.
The shaken and disoriented troops snapped out of their daze.
A pile of a thousand soldiers was at the base of a hill west of the battlefield.
The shockwave flung them into one another, and they were knocked down like a wave of dominos.
"Are you going to let the women do everything!?" He roared through permanent Amplification Circles.
Some circles were permanent unless deactivated.
So, luckily, the exhausted Tilo could rest.
"You're almost up! So remember that you're a man!
Otherwise, those empowered female soldiers lying on you will never look at you again!"
The men with women laying on them blushed in embarrassment.
As the soldiers got off each other and helped their neighbors to their feet, they chuckled.
"Ladies! There are fewer of you in this army, but you've seen that number doesn't matter!
So don't let the men outdo you!"
Prideful hundred or so women cheered.
A single battle cry came from a male soldier.
Then one from a female soldier.
A thousand soldiers erupted into bloodthirsty battle cries.
"Now get into position and wait for that girl to fuck that thing up!" General Lackbolt roared.
"If you can't take that beast out after that, you don't deserve a place in history!"
The soldiers ran back to the top of the hill they flew off only moments before.
They stood in awe of the young demon woman when they made it to the top.
She hit the troops with a blast of heat and hadn't done a thing since.
However, she was the only person standing at the tip of a hill.
The sunlight gave her beautiful blonde hair a shimmering glow.
They saw her arms raised high in the air, and her commanding aura felt absolute.
"[Exodus Blaze]!" Charlotte screamed at the top of her lungs.
"KEEEYYY—"
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
100 G's of gravity with a 100-foot radius slammed against the Colossus when Charlotte brought her arms down.
The Stalkwalker crashed to the ground below, increasing the surface area of the attack.
"YAHHHHHHHH!"
BOOOOOM!
"KAH!"
BOOM!
"Kaaaaah…."
Boom!
The Stalkwalker could withstand the pressure, but it slipped on the ice when it tried to push itself up with its hands.
The same thing happened multiple times until it finally stayed down.
Constant earth ripples assaulted the battlefield.
Marie had activated Ripple to defuse the shockwaves from the falls.
It was effect because falling wasn't a smash attack like before.
Once the Colossus was laying on the ground, the area erupted into vibrant blue flames.
"YAAAAAAH….KEEEYYYAAAAAAHHHHHHHKKK!"
BOOOOOM!
BOOOOOM!
BOOM!
The beast thrashed in agony as the flames assaulted its head, snout, and back.
A cloud of steam shot around the Stalkwalker once the flames hit the ice mountain.
It burned its body and eyes.
Water pooled up instantly.
Every time it tried to get up, gravity smashed back into the ground after slipping on the now wet ground.
It dug its nose deep into the wet earth to protect its nose.
However, the ground solidified quickly as the water evaporated.
Suddenly a torrent of light shot from the west, hitting the Stalkwalker with wind and gravity spells.
There were hundreds of low-level mages chanting and high-level mages silent casting.
"KEEEYYY! KEEEYAAH! KEYYYAAAAAAHHHHHHHHKKK!"
The Stalkwalker screeched in agony as the flurry of spells assaulted it.
"Charlotte!" Helix yelled mid-air before crashing to the ground in a roll.
"Eh?" Charlotte replied lightly.
The young woman was dizzy and not very responsive.
Helix recovered, rushed over, and grabbed her body.
He pressed his mouth against hers and let out a deep breath.
"YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The soldiers roared.
From their perspective, their new leader considered the battle won, and he was kissing the heroine.
Helix rolled his eyes and ignored them.
Vitality returned to Charlotte's eyes during the [kiss].
Her eyes shot open, and her concentration returned.
"You can take a break now." Helix chuckled.
—
"Once the Stalkwalker was immobilized by its shredded legs and slippery ice, Charlotte would use Exodus Blaze to crush it to the earth." Helix explained.
Tyrene listened to Helix's strategy closely.
"Exodus Blaze locks the enemy in place with gravity before the blaze attacks it.
The combination of excessive gravity will be able to push it to the ground without leverage."
Her eyes glistened as she looked at the young man with a sharp gaze.
"That's when we'll finally assault its sense of smell and attack the Colossus.
At that point, the flames will burn without her aid continuing to damage it once the water evaporates." Helix concluded.
"That… is brutal." Tyrene laughed in bewilderment.
"Then let me guess, it ends with a kiss?" She joked.
"Hell yeah, it does! Hellie saves the best for last!" Charlotte declared with a puffed-out chest.
Marie glared at her, and Riley giggled with a warm smile.
Helix waved his hand with a playful smile.
"No. That's not going to be how it goes down." He declared boldly.
The women started bickering and looked at him with wide eyes.
"The mages will start riddling the Colossus with hundreds of attack and gravity spells." He began.
"Then Charlotte gets a kiss!"
