Never Judge

Chapter 997 997

When Ian finally made it to Jasmine's room, he didn't knock. He entered to find Jasmine looking at a mirror, most likely anxiously waiting for him.

"Ian!" Jasmine said, jumping back in surprise.

"You wanted to see me?" Ian asked in a cold tone as he kept Jasmine at arm's length.

"Yes." Jasmine spoke in the most seductive way she could, running her fingers from her neck to her ample cleavage, hoping to entice Ian.

"So? What did you want to speak about?" Ian asked Jasmine, making sure his tone was not as cold as it normally was towards her.

Picking up on the change, Jasmine became bolder. She was probably hoping that Ian was tired of remaining loyal to Nicole and wanted to be satisfied for the night.

She took a step closer and pretended to trip.

As a reflex, Ian quickly caught her, he felt as her breasts brushed against his arm, but it did nothing for him.

"Thank you." Jasmine said as she batted her eyes at Ian.

"Look Jas." Ian told her as he helped her stand back up. "I need to keep my eyes on things, I don't have that much free time. So why did you want to see me?"

"Oh, right." Jasmine said as she gasped and led him to the couch to sit down.

"Well?" Ian asked as he felt Jasmine place a hand over his leg.

"I heard something from Jim, he said he and your Uncle William are planning to double cross you." Jasmine said in a more serious tone.

Ian did his best not to react, he didn't want Jasmine to think he didn't know. He needed to show that he was in control, that he dictated the narrative.

"And?" Ian asked Jasmine, he was glad that his voice sounded confident, the complete opposite of his true emotions.

"You knew?!" Jasmine hissed as she backed off a bit.

Seemingly realizing her mistake, Jasmine leaned forward again and made sure to keep body contact at all times.

"Is that all you wanted to talk to me about?" Ian sounded annoyed, he could see the effect of his words on Jasmine as she hesitated.

"I'm a busy person, Jas." Ian added. "If that's all-"

"No, no, no, no." Jasmine said, cutting him off mid sentence, making Ian frown at her.

"What?" Ian asked in a cold tone once more showing Jasmine how impatient he was becoming.

"I know you have been lonely, Ian." Jasmine began to say as she gripped his thigh once more and leaned forward to give him a good view of her breasts which were practically popping out of her tight blouse.

Ian could see that she wasn't wearing a bra underneath, he wanted to roll his eyes at her pathetic attempts. But Ian knew he could use it to his advantage, he just needed to make it seem like she had convinced him.

"Jas, I'm married." Ian groaned as he shook his head. "I have two sons and a wife waiting for me at home."

"And yet you haven't refused me." Jas said with a grin.

Ian frowned and chose not to speak, he knew that remaining silent was the best thing to mislead Jasmine without lying.

"We still have an hour before dinner, why don't we rekindle our old flame?" She asked Ian as she ran her lips against his neck.

"I have work." Ian told her, his tone was kinder than before.

"Do you really?" She purred.

"I do. But tonight I should be more available." Ian smirked as the plan played in his head. By the time Jasmine realized what was happening it would be too late.

"Then I should go with you to your rooms after dinner." Jasmine suggested, to which Ian shook his head.

"The Chan family is still the Chan family. They are powerful and I am still married. Any rumors circulating about me that puts me in a negative light will still impact all the businesses I hold." Ian calmly explained as Jasmine nodded, accepting his answer.

"So you will come to me tonight?" She asked, her eyes showed how hopeful she was that Ian would finally return to her.

"Tonight." He said with a nod as he got up and straightened his clothes.

"Let me walk you out." Jasmine offered as she got up, Ian stopped her and shook his head.

"It's best if I see myself out, I'll see you at dinner." Ian told Jasmine as he walked out of the room with a victorious grin on his lips.

Jasmine had no idea what was coming for them, then again, he doubted that anyone did.

For now he had another matter to deal with, he couldn't tell if what Jasmine had said was true or not.

She could be working with Bernard to break his relationship with William Trent.

When Ian made it back to his rooms, his butler was waiting for him with a report.

"The last of our staff made it safely to Kasmere, those that remain are here voluntarily." The butler announced.

"Thank you, Uncle." Ian told the old man as he placed a hand on his shoulder. Over the years Ian and his siblings had formed the habit of calling the butler their uncle due to his closeness to the family.

"Sir, we heard some concerning things coming from Mr. Juan." The butler said in a hesitant tone.

"It is about Uncle William and Jim?" Ian asked as he sat down and relaxed.

"Sir, they are planning on leaving tonight." The butler informed Ian.

"Are all our people loyal?" Ian asked the butler.

"They have all lost much to the Rajas." The butler quickly answered him. "They are beyond loyal."

"Then the two men will have no chance to leave before things are too late. Is everything prepared for dinner?" Ian confirmed.

"Yes, sir." The butler nodded.

"Wake me when it's time for dinner, I think tonight will be quite and exciting one and for the first time since we trapped ourselves here, we will be happy." Ian said as he made his way to the bedroom that was now practically bare.
