Chapter 242: Unheard and Unseen
Unheard and Unseen
Let me come back for you
His claim brought silent chaos for the Rank Masters. The hunter perhaps got disappointed about the decision or he meant it? They were thinking the same question. "Wait little kid." The First Rank Master voiced to stop the young hunter from leaving. "Do you think the blood hunters should be given chance? Give me a reason for that." He eased up on the chair and anticipated another blunt reply. After all Rank Masters had been regarded extremely authoritative yet this young hunter was disappointed about them. This was bigger issue than the previous one.
They could kill anyone disobeying the orders of the Hightown however this young hunter was not doing this. Perhaps he befriended with the blood hunter and wanted to speak up for him. But he was giving him a hope that he would one day return back and grant this chance. This was something different which they never witnessed. Hunters take oaths to return back and revenge usually but never happened anyone claim this. "They are also part of this land and they are humans just like others slightly different hunters. If Hightown can allow meat hunters then blood hunter should also be tested of their worth." Qiao voiced.
"The second reason is that Hightown needed the presence of Blood Hunters to maintain the balance of power if I am not wrong." "The third reason is that neglecting someone would not bring positive change; it would only suppress the sincerity of many." "The fourth reason is that in my view short numbers of loyal hunters are better than bunch of fools." "It is up to you what you prefer." Qiao voiced plain. When he stopped speaking the First Rank Master twitched his brows. From the tone he could guess that young hunter would definitely become Hunter Monarch one day and then grant the blood hunter a second chance.
A hunter never speaks out of whim. He could imagine this young hunter coming through the hurdles. For him to be at level five at this age means that he was ambitious. "You reminded me of my youth. I don't know whether it was my plain nature which made me the Frist Rank Master of the Hightown or it was my stubbornness to never accept defeat. I can see you next Rank Master in another hundred year." The First Rank Master finally let go his grim aura.
Qiao stood motionless. He cannot expose that he has not that extravagant amount of time. These hunters only know talking about hundreds of years and there the humans celebrate seventy years as the golden age and expected final age. "I cannot solely decide about it and the First Tower at least needed three months to deliberate over this requisition before decision. Of course we cannot bother our next Hunter Monarch to personally grant it. The unban will be decided after three months till then the blood hunter would live under the orders of the Second Lord." The First Rank Master gave his final words and stood up.
He was short of time. Before leaving he voiced, "Young kid do enroll in the Hunting Schools for faster progress." He said this and hoped on the beast. The three Rank Masters of the Second Tower were standing silent. In the presence of the First Lord they cannot interrupt the conversation or give their own opinion. Everyone knew his limits and criteria of responsibility. The last words of the First Rank Master were the final words and no one can decline. The Second Lord looked the blood hunter and nodded.
He understood why First Rank Master wanted the blood hunter to live under his orders for three months. He wanted to test the nature of this blood hunter and gave a silent order to give all trails to this blood hunter for this test. Among the Rank Masters many things were not explained but they comprehend on their own. Qiao was pleasantly surprised at this changed decision. It was good that he decided to go all out and vent every word brewing in his head. At least it worked in the end so nothing to regret. The outcome was acceptable. There was a chance if the blood hunter could understand it and from his expression it was evident that he also understood it. Wuza was immensely glad. He just didn't know how to express considering where they were standing right now. The Rank Masters were looking forward to their actions. Qiao patted his shoulders and nodded. Wuza was thankful; the brother hunter fulfilled his words. He fought for him. His eyes got wet with the gratefulness. HE kept following brother hunter however there was not a sliver of hope in his heart but he cannot show it openly in front of sincere hunter.
Here today he was taken by the elders with a chance that he might get the hunter position. Qiao cannot stay inside the Tower anymore because it was only reserved for Rank Masters. He walked outside after saying goodbye to the blood hunter.
The higher level hunter also left walking beside him. "Where you will stay?" Deadwater asked. "Perhaps on the same bench?" Qiao answered. "May I know why you were waiting for me?" he asked curious. He was busy in talking with one after other elders and forgot that this higher level hunter saved him when confronting the first elder.
"We can talk about it in my lodge as wandering in the night around the Third Block is prohibited. In fact all the passageways should not be ventured because the Rank Masters takes flight over the Hightown sky. Anyone suspected would be killed immediately." Deadwater explained the rule and Qiao nodded. He has to accept the invitation of this hunter since he did not bear any malicious intent toward him and the fact he saved him once. "Sure and thanks for letting me know the rule." Qiao answered.
They walked various paths and reached the majestic lodges of the high level hunters. These were built in rows after rows considering the present numbers of the higher level hunters. Few of them share one lodge for the expensive rent.
