Chapter 209: Journey (10)
Journey (10)
Collaboration of another level
Two were left for Qiao to handle. Now Lowa was standing at the side lines since no one came to bother her and Qiao did not let loose both to trouble her. The hunters always thought that they were much experienced in working with collaboration all these years however to see this small team they felt puny. The greatest confusion was the hooded hunter. His origin was unknown and his actions were mysterious. They determined to speak about his suspicious actions after they reach the Hightown. He does not look like those Meat Hunters and they were oblivious of other types of hunting.
Qiao could see that they were very attentive to observe Wuza and his actions. When one of them attacked with the sword; Qiao twisted the cloth around the wrist and the sword fell then he swayed the cloth strip reaching the neck of the hunter. It caught the neck and folded around in a blink of an eye. The other hunter tried to help his buddy facing the flipping kick. The kick landed on his chest making him lost senses for some time. He coughed taking deep breaths. Qiao was using full strength of his body without using any direct weapon.
Qiao pulled the strip of the cloth and it tightened around the neck. The hunter was unable to reach his sword; he started dragging himself to get his left hand on the weapon. The right hand wrist broke and he could no more wield the sword with all might. Still thinking that perhaps the weapon could render some help in crisis; he kept himself pushing to reach it. Qiao could see this struggle however his attention fixated on the other hunter. The hunter after receiving kick and facing some stars dancing around his eyes was fuming now.
The hunter saw the broken wrist of the other hunter and could imagine his own situation. If he did not injure the young hunter then he might not remain alive to tell the Hightown about the strange hunter and his actions. He was swaying with the impact of the previous attack and slightly confused at this style of hunting. Until now he never witnessed someone abandoning his own weapon and battling this weird way. Almost all the hunters used their weapons to defend against enemies and the monsters while this young hunter was doing opposite.
No one ever taught them how to battle without weapon; he was twitching to see the capability of the young hunter, weapon seemed not necessary in his eyes to defeat the enemies. As for Qiao he would never reveal why he was reluctant to use the weapon; though it can help in defeating earlier and save effort. The sword came straight this time again aimed at his head. Qiao rolled on the ground avoiding the weapon and reaching the legs of the hunters; his feet hurting his thing under the leg. The hunter cried suddenly grabbing the attention. He fell and convulsed on the ground.
Lowa was busy looking toward the direction where Wuza disappeared not long ago and immediately turned to what happened in the moment of distraction. She somehow understood the situation and move away her eyes sneaking at the weird actions of the hunter. The other hunter finally reached his weapon however when he tried to use it; it seemed he was newbie at handling a weapon simply because he never fought using weapon with his left hand. He was immensely frustrated to find it and decided to kill his life for the sake of good. Getting humiliated from this young hunter was simply unbearable anymore.
If the word spread and the hunters came to know his frustration and disappointed condition; it would bring another round of disgrace. Qiao could see his neutral expressions and did not intend to stop him from whatever brewing in his head. It was not normal that a level five hunter fracture his bones everyday like a treat however considering how it looked unrealistic brought a round of disappointment. The hunter did not know that his broken wrist was hurting or not; what was more painful. The broken wrist can mend in maximum fifteen days without taking much care. He could have just ignored everything and leave instead he used his sword to stab in his heart to end his humiliation.
Normally hunters were not sensitive but when their ego got hurt; any type of decision could be expected from them. He bragged among his team several times about his well learned skill however in front of the young hunter; he could not battle properly and got defeated from mere cloth. He fell on his knees breathing his last; the sword stabbed his heart and the blood seeping spilling over the ground.
The other hunter saw his buddy silently dying with utter disgust painted over his face. "Tell me why you always find ways to humiliate your seniors?" he asked fuming and swaying his sword toward the young hunter. The previous they met and got severely disgraced in front of other weak team; to take revenge they reported in the Guild blaming the young hunter for his bad temper. Though it was not truth but it caused the Guild banning Qiao from entering in the Guild. It was a time when Qiao seriously wanted to level up earlier without ruining his precious time.
He always knew that one day he would be able to revenge for this but never anticipated that it would be sooner. 'Doing good was not always problematic' though his intention was not to depend on anyone but having Wuza on his side was good choice; it greatly saved his time from battling with all four hunters. Back then it took his almost entire day to wipe out the complete team. Now to see the third one stabbing saved his time again. "It is I always looking to disgrace seniors but the seniors coming my way to get disgraced." Qiao gritted his teeth and answered sarcastic. He was leveling up faster than normal hunter just because he was short of time so seniors bothering him time and again would not suit much to his taste.
