Chapter 204: Journey (5)
Journey (5)
Qiao was standing at the left and the hunter was standing opposite. They were slowly distancing from the fleapit though the monster did not appear as expected yet the hunter was glaring the young hunter observing whether he was trying to escape. He was indeed ready to escape according to observation; Qiao wanted him observe this way. He did not leap or jump to get over the remaining opportunist instead he pretended that he was not moving forward. A least amount of negligence could let the hunter understand the situation so he needed to work of minute detail.
His actions resulted this hunter and the one who ended in front of the monster forget that it was the young hunter who eventually chose to come forward them. If they were equally diligent then they might have been able to get the strands of the plan or the changes however they were much obsessed with the idea to kill him and loot. It was equal to challenge first and then show zero potential in order to make believe that the challenge was not a rational act. Being from advanced world was beneficial for him in many aspects. He was able to learn the most fundamental and critical truth of hunting.
It was to never loss until level six else hundred over reasons would appear as hindrance in the future hunting. Though it was hardest part of hunting however avoidable using the tactics. The most critical stage was the level five stage; and whoever crossed it without fatal injury would be saved in future hunting. Those who knew the importance would never make reckless decisions. This world and the rules of hunting were different while the natural laws of level up were strict. The nature would not allow a defaulted body to level up and become strongest. It would bring back chaos to the world if the body was unable to take the unlimited strength and hold it properly.
Again the hunters named it as the granted or chosen from the nature however it was actually not the matter of choice but the matter of tangible hunting and conscious control of a hunter on his hunting methods. As long as it did not defy the very existence a hunter was bound with the natural hunting. It was critical as well as challenging for every normal hunter. This was also the sole reason that the elders never reveal these secret information to most of the newbie hunters; if they come to know such aspects then and there half of them would not carry hunting as profession.
The whole world would crumble down and the humans would loss the battle against beasts; the monster would take hold of everything and the humans would be treated as slaves. The scenario might result half of the human population get killed during the battles. The Hunter Kings and the elders of the world were afraid of such circumstances to happen at least in their lives. They were trying their best to maintain the balance of the power between the monsters and the humans.
Eventually they were forced to hide some of the aspects hence it was the observation of Qiao Tai which let him understand and interpret the simple words of the previous team leader. He was energetic and enthusiastic about hunting however without rational interpretations he would be considered as blank as the white paper. This led him to this day; he was at the level five without any fatal injury despite that fact that he previously faced the conscious attacks of an intellectual stone.
The hunter took snake route to stop young hunter from escape. He was fuming with rage and wanted to expurgate the hunter in pieces with his weapon. Qiao welcomed him by slowing down his actions. What was the most hateful thing; the hunter noticed the level of the weird weapon and it was level six. He was brainstorming just how much this young man hold the wealth with him or which of the merchandize was showering sources on him. He might never be able to know that it was hard earned. The weapon had no particular shape nevertheless its tips were emitting glow; every tip represent a color of the glow and it was indication that it was not ordinary weapon.
Qiao stopped the sword attack with the shapeless weapon and looked in the eyes of the hunter. "As long as it is beneath conditioned it worth it." He knew that his words were confusing for the hunter. He wanted the hunter to get a conditioned control so that he fell in utter confusion in order to completely neglect his purpose of engaging in a battle with the young hunter. "You are spouting nonsense; I will take revenge of my fellow and then let you die slowly; worry not I have enough of time to play with you." The hunter gritted his teeth and put a force toward his weapon.
"Just tell me how long it has gone that you last bought decent clothing?" Qiao asked glaring the hunter from head to toe. "What? You are trying to demean I? I don't care if I bought anything or not; I only care if I looted anyone or not." The hunter spoke sarcastic. "Then the unfortunate hunters might have gone dead because of your stinking." Qiao added fuel to fire. He was quite conscious about the appearance and well over.
"Stop your nonsense." The hunter was baffled. In the middle of the battle this young hunter started to speak bullshit out of the blue and it caused his brain to go numb with the madness. Every word of the young hunter was equal to stabbing in the chest. No one ever pointed him out that he was wearing something trivial. Why this hunter was trying to make fun of his appearance and his clothing? He jerked his arms and the young hunter jolted back. It resulted a little distance between them.
He sneaked his clothing and then looked toward the young hunter; indeed there was difference of heaven and earth. The young hunter was wearing a best fleece while he looked worse than a beggar compared to him. It was utter humiliation. He always took worry for getting spoils never thought to spend some on his appearance. And now this young hunter got the chance to demean him in the middle of the battle. He was greatly annoyed; it was unclear whether he was angry at his ignorance all these years or he was angry at the young hunter for pointing it out.
"With this appearance if you tried to enter in the Hightown; I am afraid they would throw you out of the gates." Qiao added the last nail by hammering with all sleek painted with lubricious bleak words. "It is none of your matter hence you would not be able to see this happen so it does not matter to me too." The hunter rushed toward him again with the same anger. Qiao started running laughing. He seemed like a small child who was enjoying after several times ringing the doorbell of unknown house and the owner of the house opened the door unexpectedly faster than the previous time.
Now he was aiming to reach the next part of the ground where the smoke was rising. He conditioned his enemy very well and now he was mad enough to blindly chase him. It was similar as to how the hunters trigger a monster then it just rummages to get over the hunter; well this time it was another hunter rummaging. The sword attack fell on his back and Qiao turned with fastest pace to jolt it away then again kept moving forward. He seemed running toward unknown direction to seek refuge.
Qiao suddenly stopped and kicked the hunter before his sword could reach his head. He resumed the rush. The next nearest fleapit was in sight; it was time for him to plan the right calculations to send this hunter in the crude hands of a monster. Was it blessing that the monsters were hibernating under the ground leaving some fleapits to tell about their presence? Of course for most of the hunters it was curse but Qiao knew how to use this curse as blessing. And he was currently experimenting like a scientist how to make life saver medicine from the venom.
For hunter it might differ and might not save the life however otherwise. The endless surface of the ground with occasional uneven rocks scattered here and there; the entire setting was a wonderful sight of nature adding in the drizzling made it look mysterious with the smoke rising from some places. Any lower level hunter might shudder with the amount of cold but for level five it was normal. The winter clouds amounted in piles and turned the sky grey indicating the intense weather. Qiao was running with a calculated pace and often taking a look at his back to make sure that hunter was still chasing him.
