Quest For Three Stones (15)
Zunal;
After the matter was resolved; for a long time no one came to disturb the tranquility of the wilderness, same went with the residents. Qiao was deep in slumber; it was better for him to relax his nerves. Wuza did not close his eyes because he knew one of the hunters was in deep sleep and he should not do the same instead keep a look out at the development if any of the monsters appears suddenly.
He was also little dumbstruck because he was taking 'the men's logic in a wrong direction and it turned out that both brother Qiao and the huntress were oblivious to such intentions, thankfully they did not mind his words' thinking this he moved a bit. He imbibed the blood of a monster not long ago and currently his eyes were closing on its own. The blood hunters as soon as quench their thirst chose to return back to their hidden abodes for some time because the blood brings temporary siesta in them and they cannot survive if they face some enemy in this situation though it was only limited to the young blood hunters. The elders have their ways to overcome this weakness with the advancement.
But the young hunters have to face this weakness until they reach a certain age. Wuza was keeping his eyes wide opened despite the effects playing on his senses. The reason why his elder let him explore the hunting world because blood hunters were bound to let their young ones freely crams and chose their path. It would be miraculous adventure if the Hightown really accepted him in any of the Guild or the hunting school. Though he cannot learn the same way however he would not let this chance diminish.
'How many decades have gone since any of his elders visited the Hightown; almost three generations of the blood hunters were unable to cherish the hunting same way as the normal hunters do. Normal hunters can explore all parts of the seven continents yet the Blood Hunters were limited to the three tribes and specific part of the continent. It resulted whole three generations to die naturally without getting high levels and appreciating few enhanced decades of life span. Compared to the normal hunters still blood hunters lack the enhanced years but it can be said that if someone was supposed to die at the normal human age and after advancing accomplishes by adding three or four decades further in the life span then it was not bad choice either.
'Moreover it was not just affluence of increasing life span; it was the matter of making name for ones' race. Blood hunter's race might wipe out from the face of the world without clearing the stains of betrayal from their name and Wuza does not want this to happen. He wanted to vim at every extent to clear this guilt. Only brother Qiao was ready to stand along with him; he must avail this opportunity and stand strong at the rules. Though it was not easy to shun away the temptation to imbibe the blood of a rare beast but because it was rule set by the Hightown he would not contravene it' all these thoughts were running in his head and keeping his eyes open.
Lowa was sleeping before the last monster and the team appeared so she was not much bushed to fell asleep immediately. She was unable to understand whether she was still serene after the encounter with the young hunter and how boldly she was searching his fleece. The way he reacted despite her awkward questioning fortunately saved her from further shame. If it was someone else he might have taken this incident as an opportunity to bully her. She tried to sneak again toward him but there were few bodies of the dead monsters which did not let her sneak properly.
After deliberating at her peculiar actions; Lowa was forced to held her chin and ask, "What are you doing now? She was really behaving weird and soon might be scolding herself for nothing but then fell asleep reminding herself about the promise. Her aim was to become Hunter King of this century and there was long way ahead.
Outside the forest; everything was silent. There was not much activity. The monsters seemed resting too and the teams were sparse right now. After some time; constantly fighting and vowing to not fell asleep still Wuza fell in slumber. He could no more push himself to keep awake. It did not bring any change to the wilderness only the residents were now resting.
Half of the team members which left after the last hunt were not in good condition and wherever they moved brought some sense of danger. All of the team members were strong enough to face any monster residing in this forest still they ended up in miserable condition so most of them who witnessed their condition stopped to ask what happened and who killed the big monster.
Team leader was representing a perfect picture of brutality and he was the first to speak, "There is a barrier created by some powerful stone. A team of three scumbags is confined in it and we ended up there. They not only snatched our hunt also brutally treated."
The huntress who lost a whole level was also looking miserable. She was unable to speak anything. The way that low level huntress attacked her and made her think that she was vulnerable while actually left a fatal injury to let her die' it was gruesome to remember.
The random team could see one of the man was unable to move by himself. Though team leader tried to heal him but his healing stone lost the effectiveness and he has to go back to get one for healing this team member.
The two teams who were listening their ranting nodded, they pitied the situation of this team and someone asked, "Where did you find that barrier?" they were quite curious about those brutal hunters. If they could meet with such hunters then they might be able to brawl with them and measure their own strength.
"Near the rock of left hill from the straight direction." Another injured hunter pointed to tell the route from where they appear outside the forest. "Alright, thanks and we'll see those hunters how much they could endure from us." One of the team immediately got ready to reach the place and wait for them to appear.
They were surprised to hear that such three hunters exist in this forest who were shameless to the point to brawl with another team and brought them to this condition. There was hidden motif of this team. They wanted to know what kind of stone was used in creating such a barrier and how much they could rob from them. If they were such good in hunting then they must be having number of stones with them.
The teams split and only one of them went to check on the barrier. The second team who did not show interest in following actually thought to wait by hiding around the premises. They first wanted to take a look at the situation. If it was more than they could handle then they would just retreat silently.
They did not know that entering the barrier was not easy and then leaving it was way impossible unless the monster could drag them out willingly. The team which was half destroyed reached to their destination and took all means to heal the wounded. The huntress has found the profound grudge and cannot forget it. She was healed in few hours because her injury paid the full price by a level.
Now her only aim was to kill that bitch who attacked her viciously. If a huntress wanted to settle some grudge then she would gather like-minded huntresses and make her own team to chase the target. This huntress has same plans from now on. Level five was called first stage in hunting and most of the hunters were warned from their Guilds to never bear a fatal wound at this stage. It would leave some complex hindrance for the further level up. There were only two critical stages; the first one appear at level five where as the second stage appear at the peak of level seven. It was called critical time for a hunter and considered as determining factor and major influence in the increasing life span.
Facing a critical injury at this level might harm the sequence of the body improvement and the experience point's token would face a drawback. It was sometimes irreparable for the body to wipe out the damage completely with the time. The huntress has strong reason to form a grudge against the girl and chase her. She never saw someone fearlessly attacking to a senior and leaving fatal injury; she was sure that if this girl was let loose she would become stronger and a headache for other huntresses.
