Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

On reaching the huge mounted white gates, Jasmine was stunned to see the number of reporters waiting outside. With that huge number of reporters, she was certain that the reporters would have forced their ways in had her father not mobilise many of the security guards to the gate.

"I guess this particular messed I caused is bigger than all the ones that I have created and what hurts me the most is that I dragged innocent Ice Prince into this. If I had known that it will be like this I wouldn't have dragged him into this," Jasmine thought aloud as she stare at the reporters whose cameras keep on flashing at the other side of the gate. It was at this moment that Eric who pursue her reached where she was.

Eric hurriedly came out of his car and went to meet Jasmine. He knocked on the door of her car and signalled her to wound down the window.

"Young Miss, Chairman has instructed that you stay in the mansion until everything is sorted out so please don't make things hard for us," Eric said as she stare at the anxious lady whose hands were on the steering.

"Eric, how bad is the impact of the news? Is Avans Group affected by it? And what about Smith International...,"

"None of the companies is spared, even J&S is affected badly by it but don't worry Chairman is doing his best to minimise the damage and I am sure that Smith International is not sleeping either," Eric said in a firm tone.

"Let's go back so you can tell me in full detail what is happening out there," Jasmine said as she ignited her car and afterwards headed back to the mansion. She was so glad when she did not see her parents in the sitting room when she went back.

If she had seen them, she was not sure she would be able to look them in the eye.

It was never her intention for everything to escalate like this. All she wanted was to force her father to cancel the engagement when the reporters meet her and Jackson in that ambiguous position. Never had it occurred to her that someone would be so bold to post the video online.

"Let's talk in my room in case father and mum come out of their room," Jasmine said after Eric had caught up to her in the sitting room. Together they both head to her room.

"So Eric, how on earth did the video get posted online? Did the reporters do this, tell me and I, Jasmine Avans will teach that gutsy idiot a lesson he will never forget," Jasmine said fiercely.

"Yes, one of the interns who followed the reporters did it. She was videoing everything live on Instagram when they reached your mansion, it was one of her followers watching the live video which spread the video on the internet. After he posted other people did likewise and so on. You know how crazy the internet is," Eric sitting opposite Jasmine said in a calm tone.

"How dare she do that? Did she think that she was at her home that she could just go live on another person's home without taking permission," Jasmine said angrily.

"She said it was not intentional...,"

"And you believe that bullshit? How about I ruin her life and career and later admitted that it was a mistake, would she take it easy with me?" Jasmine asked as though Eric was the person who posted the video online.

"She has been fired following Chairman's orders so don't be too upset Young Miss. Getting angry is not good for your health," Eric said in a bid to calm Jasmine down slightly. After he talked Jasmine did not utter a word but her anger also did not subside.

"So what is father's plans about this? I am asking you because he would never tell me if I ask him and neither will mum. After all, she seemed angry with me," Jasmine said in a more composed tone.

"He is planning to hold a press conference tomorrow," Eric said concisely.

"How did the Allen's react to the news, they did not make things difficult for mum and father right?" Jasmine asked in a mellowed tone.

"Mrs Allen was furious. She threatened to get back at the Avans family for the humiliation her family suffered because of you," Eric said as he waited to see how Jasmine will react.

"If she dares try anything stupid, I will forget the fact that I was ever supposed to be her daughter-in-law. I will hurt her entire family in the way the world will be scared of me," Jasmine threatened firmly. Knowing very well that she meant what she said Eric did not utter a word.

Everyone says that Mr Avans is scary but to him, Avans youngest daughter is the scariest. She is the one to repay her grievances in double folds.

"Young Miss, excuse me. I will go carry out the orders Chairman assigned to me," Eric said as he immediately stood up and exited her room.

The moment Eric left, Jasmine became very worried. The fact that she doesn't know what the heck is happening outside makes her wants to go crazy. Without her phones, tablets or computers with her, she felt so lonely.

After learning about the news she was in no position to watch any of her favourite dramas or do anything. She laid on her bed without being able to fall asleep for hours. She did not go downstairs for lunch and neither did she eat dinner too.

Her mum became very worried when the maids reported to her that Jasmine did not open the door and neither did she reply no matter how many times they called her.

"No matter the mess Jasmine commits she has never shown any remorse or feel ashamed of her actions even though the entire nation ridicules her so I wonder what has come over her this time," Mrs Avans thought aloud to the hearing of her husband.
