Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

The moment Jasmine entered the bedroom, she immediately messaged Alfred to inform him about the buffet that was going to take place in a few minutes. Afterwards, she changed and entered the bedroom leaving Catherine who just finished bathing to dress up.

It took Jasmine ten minutes to bathe. Knowing that someone was patiently waiting for her out there she did not take long to do all the necessary things.

"Jas...," Jackson paused when he turned around and saw that the one who opened the door wasn't Jasmine.

"She will be out in a jiffy," Catherine said when she noticed his disappointed look. She later went to sit on the opposite couch. With the two of them in the same room, the awkwardness was so obvious.

"Why do you keep staring at me?" asked Jackson. He has felt her piercing glance directed at him for a few minutes now and he did not feel the slightest bit comfortable with it.

"How do you know I am staring at you if you weren't staring at me too?" asked Catherine firmly not giving Jackson the response he wanted.

"If you have something to say then do it instead of glaring at me. I won't take responsibility if you dare fall for me because of this," said Jackson in a sarcastic tone. Catherine chuckled when she heard his comment.

"I am not the least interested in you ok? It's only a crazy lady who will fall in love with an iceberg as you mean...,"

"You mean someone as crazy as Jasmine?" asked Jackson to the shock of Catherine. For a minute Catherine was too stunned to speak. Just when she wanted to scold him, the bedroom door opened and Jasmine entered.

Jackson instantly turned around when he realised that the one he has been waiting for was there.

Jackson trailed from her sexy long legs. His eyes trailed further until it reached the short flair gown which topped at her hips. His lips curled into a beautiful smile when it met the diamond necklace on her fine slender neck. He felt so happy that she wore the necklace he gave her on their first date.

"What are you sternly so keenly at?" Her sweet voice put an end to his beautiful fantasy.

"I wanted to say you look great," Jackson complimented, not taking his eyes off her. His compliment took away whatever words Jasmine wanted to say.

Did he just compliment her? Did he perhaps drink before he came here because I just can't believe that the Ice Prince actually complimented my best friend?

Catherine thought in surprise.

"That means you have eyes for good things. I feel happy that I didn't have to beg for your compliment today," said Jasmine as she smiled sweetly at him. It was at this moment that the others entered the room.

"Did we interrupt something?" asked Evelyn curiously when she saw the passion in their eyes while staring at each other. Her voice brought them out of their momentary trance.

"What could you possibly be interrupting when my ever strict best friend is here?" Jasmine asked playfully as she walked further into the room.

"I guess Jack has met a new enemy," Evelyn said giggling just at the thought of seeing Jack's sullen look each time Cat tears him apart from the lady he likes.

"What did you say?" Catherine sitting close to where they stood asked when she heard Evelyn mumbled something she couldn't pinpoint the words.

"Are we late? That's what I asked," Evelyn lied to the excitement of the two guys standing close to her. Having heard what she said they were so happy to see that she came up with a lie to cover up what she said. Catherine stood up afterwards.

"No, you guys are right on time," said Jasmine as she beckoned Jack to stand up so they could start going. Jackson did what she wanted.

"That is great," Jeff said excitedly as he went closer to where Catherine was now standing. After whispering something into Catherine's ears which made her chuckle, all of them left the room.

When they got outside where the shed was set, Evely turned and stare at Jackson when she saw the huge table filled with so many savoury and beautiful dishes.

Wow, he really went through a lot to impress her! I have never thought that a day that the cold Jack will act so romantic will ever come not to mention treating a lady as good as he is treating her.

Evelyn thought still staring at Jackson. After seeing Jackson's sincerity, she vowed at that moment to help Jackson out in any way she can.

"What are you waiting for Eve?" Steve asked when she saw that she was still standing despite that others were s sitting.

"Jack's special set-up left me speechless. I can't believe he went to this extent to make his girlfriend happy," Evelyn walked up and sat beside Steve.

"Girlfriend? They are just three ladies here so who here is his girlfriend?" Catherine asked curiously.

"Who else if not your best friend, Jasmine?" Evelyn asked. The moment she said these words Jasmine spat out the juice in her mouth. Everyone turned to face her seeing her reaction.

"Are you ok?" Jackson asked holding back his laughter. He felt like patting Evelyn's hair for making her earlier comment.

"Ice Prince, your friends are gonna give me a heart attack if they continue acting like this so why don't you scold them...,"

"Scold them? Why would I do that when they haven't annoyed me?" Jackson asked nonchalantly to the surprise of Jasmine. The moment Jasmine opened her mouth to speak, her sister and brother-in-law arrived.

Elizabeth who just arrived in the company of her husband was amazed to see Jackson there.

What the hell is he doing here? Jasmine never mentioned that someone else apart from Catherine was coming along with her. I wonder whether they have become a couple since the last time we met.

Elizabeth thought trying to figure out what was Jasmine's relationship with this high profiled CEO.
