Chapter 132 - Refresh Your Memories
Mitch and Berry became busy the next morning in answering so many requests for an interview with Brione and Gavin through telephone calls in their office.
"We really are sorry but we have already granted one trusted show to do this exclusive interview." Mitch apologized before she looked in Berry's direction who was also busy talking and answering to the magazines and newspapers personnel from the telephone.
??
As soon as the call ended, Mitch sat on the couch, placing her head on the headrest while she scanned the trending search on her mobile phone. It was Brione and Gavin's arrival in the videos that were taken mostly by the netizens.
Berry soon joined her on the couch and said, "I pulled the plug. Let's give our telephones a break for just an hour."
Mitch chuckled in reply. Berry turned at her and stared for a long time before finally asking, "What happened?"
Mitch turned her head and looked at Berry's interrogating eyes. "What?" she asked.
"You, you don't look annoyed right now. It's the first time you look so chill like this while we are bombarded with these phone calls and messages." Kimmy suspiciously snorted then her eyes widened as something dawned on her. "Did Kevin ask you out?!" she burst.
Mitch's face reddened. "How did you know?"
"Well don't you remember the many times I caught him looking… staring at you at Perdu Island? I can see that he has his eyes on you!" Berry exclaimed as she started poking Mitch sides and teased, "Finally Mitch will not end up as an old maid!"
"Shhh. Stop that. You're jinxing it!" Mitch chortled, making Berry laugh out hard.
"Anyway, did you remind Brione and Gavin that their exclusive interview is tomorrow?" Berry asked, looking at her.
"Yeah, I left a message and she replied already."
"Hmm so when are you going on a date?"
"Tonight," Mitch whispered before she turned to look back at Berry but was hesitating to say a word.
"What? Tell me… You look like you need help," Berry teased. She was aware that it was Mitch's first time to go on a date. The woman was too reserved, so conservative, and a very late bloomer!
"Hmm, I'm a bit nervous. I feel like I will just bore him to death," Mitch timidly answered.
"Why do you say so?"
Mitch told Berry about how unproductive her answers were towards Kevin last night whenever he would try to talk to her.
"Well, you're improving cause you can now at least say 'okay' when he asked you out. Instead of saying 'no'. That's your favorite line in turning down men. I've always known that you also like that Kevin…" Berry said with an amused grin.
"But later…" Mitch murmured.
"Later? If you cut out your tongue then just pull him and kiss him. If you can't talk then show it in action… Do what you want to do with him. You're old enough for that Mitch. Goodness!" Berry scolded, making Mitch chuckle.
The two women were interrupted when the CEO's secretary called and informed them at the intercom that the CEO wanted to have a word with Brione.
"Brione and Gavin will visit Gavin's father today. Please tell the CEO that I will try to call Brione and inform her about this." Mitch replied.
The two women sighed. "This is a? problem. The new CEO… I sense that he will be a pain in the ass."
"You bet…"

Meanwhile, Brione and Gavin went out to visit Damiel in the main family house.
"This is Noah's house then the next is uncle Damiel and yours." Brione pointed out while they were inside the car.
"How old am I again when we moved here?" Gavin asked.
"You were nine when you and father moved here so I wasn't able to get the chance to meet your mother since uncle Damiel said she died when you were four. You stayed with him in the province when uncle Damiel suddenly decided to move here to Capital City and got you two settled." Brione explained.
"I really hope I'll remember everything soon. I still feel uncomfortable. I can't remember a single thing about him."
Brione grabbed his hand to comfort him. "We're here darling. You don't have to rush yourself in remembering. For now, just trust your heart and be yourself around him. Do what your heart tells you to do like what you did to me."
As they got out of the car, Gavin arched his neck to look at the huge mansion before him. For some reason, he could feel the familiarity of the place.
"Welcome!" Damiel greeted them cheerfully. He looked so delighted when he approached them. He hugged each one of them.
"Come, Son. I will show you around the house. It may help you regain your memories," Daniel commented as he pulled his arms.
Gavin turned to Brione who just flashed him with a smile. "Go with uncle. I'm sure you two have a lot to catch up on. I will stay in the garden and study some scripts."
Gavin nodded before he allowed Damiel to pull him along.
"How are you feeling, son? How about I show you to your room first?" Damiel suggested.
"I am fine…? I'm still processing things around me. Everything is all new for me…"
"I know a good doctor that may help you out in regaining your memories, son. How about we see her whenever you are comfortable?" Daniel offered and Gavin only gave him a half-smile.
"Is that a yes?" Daniel reconfirmed.
"Alright, I see no harm in trying," Gavin whispered.
Damiel smiled in relief. "Thank you, son. You don't know how important this is to me. I want to find ways to help you regain your memories!"
They stopped at a door. Damiel opened it, saying, "this is your room, Gavin. I haven't changed anything at all since you last left. Everything is still here. I hope this will help you refresh your memories."
Gavin walked inside and looked at every corner of the room. The room was familiar but something felt different that he could not explain.
"When did I start living on my own? When did I move into the penthouse?" Gavin inquired as he looked at his photos with Damiel when he was a boy.
"You moved as soon as you earned enough to buy yourself a penthouse, son. I honestly don't want you to move back then but I guess you wanted to have your own space… You were twenty-five when you bought the penthouse that was just opposite Brione's."
Gavin turned to him and asked, "when was the last time you have seen me, father? And what happened that time?"
"Do you recall something, son?" Daniel whispered, his face paled.
