I, The Dragon Overlord

Chapter 500 - Oldest Dragon

This was probably the most dangerous that Louie had encountered in his life so far. If he was unable to escape from this problem, it wouldn’t really cause him to lose his chance to become the god of gods. However, if he could not solve it perfectly, his plans would have problems. Perhaps it would take a longer time for him to bring his plans back on track.

Louie began to ruminate on a way to solve this problem. Although he did not know what plans the Mother earth Goddess had in store for him, he had decided he was certain that she had a hand in all of this. Previously, when the two sides clashed, the one who suffered the most was the Goddess of Magic, while the Mother Earth Goddess did not really lose anything. With the two fighting over divine authority, this goddess who had returned to her prime was actually doing everything she could to oppose Louie.

The Obsidian King seemed to be backed by the God of Beastmen Gorsh, the God of Strength and Courage, and the Goddess of Earth, Chauntea. Other than those, Louie did not know if there were any other gods involved.

For example, the Goddess of Magic Mismisella should have recovered a bit of vitality and would definitely take advantage of this situation and walk together with the Goddess of Earth to work against him. There was also a chance that she would choose to lay low first and quietly build her magic network to cause him trouble. Naturally, Louie could not tell what she would actually do.

Other than these four gods, there might be other gods who are involved for their own reason.

It could be said that Louie did not have any information about the enemy, but from the current situation, the other party had planned for a long time to strike against him. Louie’s purpose had also been achieved in a way, and that was to bring out all of his enemies into the open. If he was able to cross this danger, Louie would be able to soar to the skies. There would no longer be any god that could stop him. If he failed, Louie would have no choice but to hibernate or even make a compromise. With time, he could set up a new plan.

Louie would not allow his life to be in danger. Even if more gods united against him, even if those gods attacked his divine kingdom together, Louie would not hesitate to show his Foreign God of Order and use the power of order to fight the crisis. Even if that meant he would lose his chance to become the god of gods. It would still be better than really falling.

Moreover, Louie still had a path of escape, and that was to return back to Earth without coming back anymore. This was the last option since doing so would mean that Louie was giving up most of his power. The laws of Earth simply did not support gods of faith, and faith gained from Earth needed to move to the world of San Soliel to be processed into a usable state. This might be a bad option, but this allowed Louie an absolute way to survive.

After a person found a way to retreat, they did not need to panic and only needed to think about the problem.

But no matter how hard Louie tried to think of a way, he could not find a plan at all. Louie would not be able to easily kill the Obsidian King who was protected by the Beastman God, the Goddess of Earth, and even other unknown gods. Even Louie would not be able to break past that many gods. Moreover, for the gods to create such a formation meant that the black dragon was about to ascend, leaving Louie with little time.

‘Even if I can’t find a way to break the situation now, there is a way to ease the loss.’

Thinking of this, Louie looked at the Myhtril King who was looking at him with curiosity in her eyes. Before this, Louie had used too much time to think, and even used divine power to do so. Because he wasn’t speaking, none of the dragons dared to say anything.

“Heloise, other than the dragons that are following you and Drexler, how do the rest of the dragons see me?”

Before Louie ascended, he had been too busy with Dragon City’s construction. At that time, he did not have any urgent thoughts on finding dragon followers. After ascending, he had been busy with various other things and did not have the chance to find the dragons. Now that he thought about it, the main reason why he did not have time to spare might largely be because of the Beastman God and the Mother Earth Goddess causing trouble.

Higher-level godhood could block information from lower-level godhoods. This was what happened when the Mother Earth Goddess blocked information before which prevented Louie from learning of Alexia’s crisis.

And if two gods of higher rank took turns to block information, Louie estimated that his information had imbalances, thus he was not able to find out about this happening at all, as a result, he did not have the chance to find dragon believers.

But now that all kinds of facts were placed in front of Louie, the Mother Earth Goddess, and the Beastman God’s cover was losing effect, allowing Louie to see the entire situation today.

He did not know much about the dragons as he had only come here thirty years ago.

Hearing Louie’s inquiry, Heloise thought for a moment and said, “The vast majority of dragons think nothing of you, the ‘Dragon God’, neither are they resistant in having faith in you.”

Heoise’s words made Louie nod secretly. This was consistent with the characteristics of dragons. This arrogant race had inherently weak faith. Louie even suspected that some dragons were unaware of his existence.

“However, there is a dragon who has great affection for you and says that your presence is necessary for the dragon race.”

The Mythril King’s tone suddenly became reverential as if she admired the dragon she spoke of with great longing.

This aroused Louie’s curiosity. The Mythril King was an ancient dragon who had lived for thousands of years and became a demigod by virtue of her own hard work. Now that she was close to becoming a true god, she should have great prestige among the dragons even if her thoughts were contrary to most dragons.

She was different from Louie who suddenly appeared out of nowhere. The Mythril King had lived on the main continent and grew with the dragons. Compared to outsiders like Louie, the Mythril King’s reputation should be higher among dragons.

But with such a high status, she should definitely be at the top. For someone at the top to have admiration for another was very rare.

This was especially true for the dragon that the Mythril King admires. Moreover, that dragon has a great affection for him which made him feel incredulous.

Heloise did not know how to twist her words or play tricks. Seeing Louie’s curiosity, she bluntly said, “That is the only primordial dragon among the dragons who had survived since ancient times. It’s said that he is older than 30,000 years old and is the senior of all the dragons. It could be said that every dragon alive today grew up under his watchful gaze.”

“Even Drexler and I are no exception.”

“A primordial dragon that has lived for more than 30,000 years?!”

Hearing Heloise’s words, Louie was really surprised.

This was a great thing.

It was also because of the events that transpired during the Era of Disaster that mortal races had no more than 30,000 years of history. For a dragon to live from that time to the present time, it could be called a true antique. Other than several ancient gods, there were probably not many people that were older than it.

A dragon that had lived 30,000 years ago had definitely seen the Five-colored Dragon God before. They probably even faced the invasion of the alien civilization together with the Five-colored Dragon God.

‘Could this primordial dragon have guessed the origin of my godhood?’

Currently, the secret of Louie’s godhood was already known by a few ancient gods. It was very easy for those who had lived for a long time to see through such details. Perhaps at the beginning, few gods would have believed it, but as time passed, they would have gained enough knowledge to deduce the origins of his godhood.

The gods would not be suspicious of him at all and think that he was just a very lucky dragon. In ancient times, gods giving gifts that helped mortals ascend was not unusual. Perhaps compared to some ancient people, Louie’s luck was pretty ordinary. During the previous era of the gods, mortals becoming high-tier gods in an instant was something that could even happen.

That was the true child with a heavenly destiny!

“Yes, God Louie! That great dragon is named Abdulfrazier and the true ruler of Dragon Island.”

Louie was moved. His sixth sense as a god told him that this primordial dragon named Abdulfraizer was the dragon he was looking for.

“Heloise, come with me. I want to meet this dragon!”
