The husband chased after Maria who kept calling him an old man in unexpected moments. It was either when he was slowly accommodating himself in his new room with Xaya and Xiaoxiao or when he explained some stuff to Hiro's other wives.

She kept calling him like that and some teammates also laughed, still not knowing what exactly happened in the husband's life.

Of course, Kyoya kept saying that there are more important things to take care of, so Maria decided to just bully him.

She ran away from the husband, but Kyoya no longer held himself back.

"Ah!"

He was faster and ready to punish this cheeky friend!

However, the husband was the husband… The moment he touched Maria's shoulder, both of them fell and landed on top of each other. Looking into Kyoya's eyes, Maria's brown eyes closed and she began to thrash.

There weren't many people around them as everyone decided to hunt some monsters for today's dinner. It was also a good time to learn about each other which was needed when two parties merged into one.

But Kyoya imagined the weird scenario.

How was it called? The husband couldn't remember, but he never thought about stealing someone's wife! He got angry at Maria from joking like that, then spanked her like an old man he was supposed to be.

Kyoya and Maria sat down on the earth chairs and put the snacks and booze on the table. They were looking like good pals ready for some party or movie show, but it was story time.

Xiaoxiao returned from her solo training with Akaro on her head. She was tired and a little sweaty, but no one would find it a problem! She sat down close to the husband, then enjoyed his hand holding hers.

Then, Kyoya began the story.

"Listen. My wife has a powerful family behind her and she chose me basically on her own. A lot happened and her father came to this world pillar. He then killed me and I had to spend a lot of time in his place as a soul only. Xaya's father is so strong that he can resurrect people."

"That's it? No! Tell me more! Look!"

What seemed to be a long story was just said so casually and shortly by the husband that even Xiaoxiao felt a little betrayed. Maria screamed on her own and showed the cup with a lot of booze in it.

She barely drank it!

She wanted more!

She wanted details!

Kyoya narrowed his eyes.

'Like I will tell you details.'

The husband and his wife were never that close back then. He was about to lose that V-card and yet the death descended onto him! How could the husband even speak about this event to Maria and Xiaoxiao?!

Maybe his future wife would learn about it in the far, far future, but definitely not now.

"Did it hurt much?"

Since Maria's eyes were so shiny and expectant for more, Xiaoxiao tried to change the topic a little and asked something else. Her question was weird and even Akaro shook her head in cat form.

But it was what Kyoya needed.

Kyoya glanced to the side, as if trying to avoid Maria's laughter! She was about to burst out laughing and once he looked to the side, the whole underground shook with her voice.

The third member of this talk also giggled, patting the husband's hair.

"That's a tsundere for you."

Kyoya let out faint laughter while remembering about the sixth death god. He prayed inwardly that everything was fine on his side and that he and his family were all safe together with other disciples.

Kyoya believed in them and swore to protect Xaya inwardly which was the husband's usual way of ending such train of thought.

"So I am not an old man! It's my soul that is very old."

Maria shared what the husband did and Xiaoxiao paled so much she looked at the husband with big eyes. It was just a banter between two friends, but they 'joked' about something serious and totally wrong!

That was why Xiaoxiao decided to not let the husband sleep tonight, no matter what.

Xiaoxiao stood up and left the table rather hurriedly.

Left alone with Maria, Kyoya asked her about her training progress and about her god's situation.
