I Dragged My Fiance's Uncle off the Altar

Chapter 2

Good Girl

Cheng Xingyang’s questioning voice emanated from the phone. “Where have you been for the past two days? Linlin and I sent you so many messages, but you didn’t reply.”

As Xing Shu tied the sash of her sleeping robe, she looked up and met Cheng Lang’s gaze. Cheng Lang’s aura was too imposing—his high nose bridge, well-defined double eyelids, coupled with eyes that were long and upcurved at the corners—exuded an air of distant and indifferent aloofness. Seeing his face, Xing Shu’s anger from Cheng Xingyang’s questioning suddenly subsided tremendously. Although her entire body was sore and aching from the romping, at least she had made Cheng Xingyang a cuckold.

“Oh, I haven’t looked at my cell phone for the past two days. What’s the matter?” Xing Shu casually picked up the suit on the ground.

“Young Uncle is back in the country. I’ll pick you up for dinner in ten minutes.” Cheng Xingyang hung up without waiting for Xing Shu’s reply.

Xing Shu raised her eyebrows and paused for a moment before looking at Cheng Lang. “Young Uncle is back?” Her tone was seductive and sultry.

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

Cheng Xingyang arrived so quickly?

Xing Shu scanned Cheng Lang’s face for any expression—even a tinge of guilt was good. But, there was none—he was as at ease as if he were at home.

Xing Shu pointed at the bathroom and snorted. “Young Uncle, my fiancé is here. Can I trouble you to hide?” she said casually. Cheng Lang was nonchalant. At the same time, an unfamiliar male voice emanated from outside the door. “Miss Xing, I’m here to deliver clothes to the President.”

Xing Shu raised her eyebrows.

So, it wasn’t Cheng Xingyang

. She opened the door and saw a man who looked like an assistant holding a suit and lowering his head respectfully. He did not seem to be curious about her relationship with Cheng Lang; extreme professionalism as expected of Cheng Lang’s staff.

Xing Shu took the suit and handed it to Cheng Lang.

“Good girl.” His tone was like snow in a stream, cold and indifferent. The lust in Cheng Lang’s eyes was apparent, yet his cold and abstinent persona returned once he put on the suit. Xing Shu felt his title of “Buddha on Earth” was at odds with his behavior, as she recalled how Cheng Lang was such a beast in bed.

Even so, when Xing Shu saw the mottled scratches on Cheng Lang’s back, her face felt inexplicably hot. When she helped the inebriated Cheng Lang to the apartment, Xing Shu did not expect them to bang so many times.

The atmosphere was a little awkward and ambiguous. Xing Shu wanted to say a few words to break the ice, but her cell phone rang a second time—it was Cheng Xingyang again. His tone was very impatient. “Are you downstairs already?”

Xing Shu thought:

“The star of the show is still here. What’s the hurry?”

Cheng Xingyang did not have much patience nor hide his disgust for her. “It’s raining heavily outside and there’s a traffic jam ahead. Don’t make me wait any longer. Xing Shu, know your place.” Xing Shu did not deign to respond. After hanging up the phone, she suddenly tiptoed and kissed Cheng Lang who responded by gripping the back of her neck.

The thought of Cheng Xingyang’s car might be downstairs secretly pleased Xing Shu.

“Xing Shu, be careful not to burn yourself.”

When Xing Shu got into the passenger seat of Cheng Xingyang’s car, Cheng Lang’s words lingered in her mind.

Playing with fire?

Her marriage to Cheng Xingyang was arranged by her family. The Cheng family’s status in the capital was supreme. The Xing family may be ranked among the top ten families, but they were still incomparable to the Cheng family. Although her revenge by way of cuckoldry had assuaged her anger, she had also messed with the one person she should never have trifled with.

It was raining heavily outside, so the visibility was very low and the car moved slowly. They had barely driven two kilometers when they were caught in a traffic jam. Cheng Xingyang was in a bad mood. When he saw Xing Shu wearing a turtleneck sweater—with her chin tucked into her collar—he could not help but frown. “You’re going in this?”

Although the weather was a little cold, it did not warrant a turtleneck sweater. Xing Shu was beautiful and looked good in anything. But still, this outfit looked rather strange.

Xing Shu thought of the hickeys on her neck imprinted by Cheng Lang, and the corners of her lips curled up slightly. “Yes, it’s raining. It’s a little cold.”

“You’re so delicate.” Cheng Xingyang grew even more impatient. Xing Shu touched her collar nonchalantly and asked, “You haven’t been to the office for half a month?”

Cheng Xingyang hated Xing Shu’s tone—it was as if she had to control everything. “Where I go is none of your business.” He honked twice impatiently. Being in the same space as Xing Shu was a torture to him.

A while later, Cheng Xingyang’s cell phone rang. Xing Shu saw the caller
