Chapter 122 Straight To The Point
The maid crouched, trembling at the thought of being truly killed.
Sensing her indecisiveness, Hisha turned his burning resentment towards a guard.
Making a clench, the guard to the left exploded, splattering blood and skin all over those on the opposite side of the table.
There was a scream and gasp in shock from the unfortunate guest, with Vanas being an exception.
Wiping down his face and gladly licking the blood, Vanas' eyes temporarily glowed before reverting to a naughty grin.
A smirk tugged at Hisha's lips, finding Vanas' mannerisms intriguing.
Kritz bit down on his bottom lip to stifle a laugh at the shocked expression of the guests, their eyes wide in disbelief.
But all that wasn't compared to the mortified look on Wae, although unable to speak, that simple action had reminded him and everyone present how frightening their overlord was.
Turning his attention back to the maid while giving a disturbing smile, "my patience is a little thin, I needed to vent it out on something before coming over to a beautiful dish."
'Beautiful dish...' Those words rang in the maid's head knowing she was the said dish. In a bid to distract herself just a little bit, she wiped down the blood on her face with her dress with trembling hands.
[Can you sacrifice your immortality to kill a mere maid?]
'Heck no! You're meant to be the smart one here.' Hisha countered, disappointed that he had his system fooled by his act.
He wouldn't deny the fact that he was acting on built-up anger from his rapid Sux depreciation, but it all stemmed from the fact that from the spill if he had not been quick to shield the rest, the maid was ready to drag others alongside him.
[All of this because of your Sux?]
'How about you being in my shoes and counting the number of times when you have a peaceful sleep?!!!' Hisha barked in his thoughts.
Although he had a fair share of Sux at his disposal, it also meant he would have to restrict his actions that needed it until it was replenished.
[...]
Bowing her head with the tips of her blonde hair soaked in blood as it spread out on the floor, she cried out her reasons driven by her unwillingness to go through with the given direction.
Raising his hand and stopping her from mentioning Wae as the obvious culprit, "it wasn't that hard, was it?"
Lifting her head, tears trickling down her cheeks, she shook her head.
Hisha tilted his head to the side and at a traumatized Wae, "my apologies on the loss of a guard, how about you do to this maid how you see fit after our departure?"
The maid yelped at the news, bowing her head continuously, knowing the sort of fate that awaited her if she was spared and left at the mercy of her Lychief.
"You don't want that?" Hisha chuckled, leaning his cheek on his palm.
Shaking her head continuously, she pleaded to be taken in as a maid in his citadel. That way she would be able to spend all her life in his service as a redemption.
Wae watched, unable to speak except when asked.
"I wouldn't want you 'poisoning' the minds of my other faithful maids, a loss of more staff isn't part of my plans in the future." Hisha countered with a grin.
"I would never, my lord!" She begged, bowing her head once more.
Narrowing his eyes at the maid, a wicked idea sprung on the effective method of getting Wae to sign a blood contract.
"Wae, I would like to speak with you two privately." He pointed at the maid who got to her feet in a hurry.
With a little bow and a nod of his head, he got to his feet, walking towards the door to lead the way.
Stopping and thinking of what this might mean for the rest of the watch, he forced a smile. "This is a feast, enjoy your meal everyone! The maids would bring a fresh batch of the dishes."
With a clap of his hands, several maids burst through the doors, with covered dishes in hand as they quickly swapped the dishes smeared in blood or cold.
They all gazed at the food, unsure if they could eat it without an ounce of worry for their safety.
Hisha nodded to Kritz so he would supervise and watch the rest while he spoke with Wae and the maid privately.
"It's this way." Wae gestured to his left before walking ahead, directing the way.

Click!
Closing the door behind him, Hisha's eyes roved the little room with suspicion as the walls were outlined with glowing molten magma.
With no furniture in sight, he could only visualize a glowing red mineral that was stacked to the ceiling at the corner of the room.
Wae walked over to the huge pile to pick up a few to bring to Hisha.
'What are those?'
[Smolten magma made with Sux–the very source of the Lycan's pride and form of personal income. It's called Magae]
'If it's that way, why has it piled up so high?'
[Ever since your verdict, everyone has been wary of the Lycans Magae and would only request or have dealings with them when necessary]
Hisha frowned, finally realizing the extent to which his words had caused the Lycans to lose the favor of others.
Dropping some Magae on the floor, Wae made a circular motion while it fed on his Sux.
Materializing, it created a chair for Hisha.
'Interesting!' Hisha grinned as he took the gesture as a form of appeasement.
Anxiously waiting for Hisha's words, he took a careful glance at the maid, glaring daggers at the maid.
Flinching and avoiding his gaze, the maid focused her attention on the floor, unsure about what lies in front of her.
"I'd be straight to the point." Hisha began.
"You have two options,"
Putting forward two of his fingers, he watched Wae struggle to keep his composure.
"One..." Hisha barked a little too loudly, startling Wae and the maid.
[Aren't you overdoing this a little too much?]
'Not quite...'
"... you are free to do whatever you want with her, but I am obliged to know who had put her up for that little stunt and have the culprit castigated for my satisfaction."
Gulp!
The maid shook her head at Wae, knowing at the very least, she would still be at the mercy of death if left behind.
Wae gave a quick thought to the condition, if she were to talk, she would definitely spill the beans to implicate him and the whole point of having her with him for her punishment would be futile.
"And the other, my lord?"
"I take possession of the maid in my citadel but in turn, she is punished with a speech impediment and given twice as much workload as my maids."
The maid dropped to her knees, nodding her head continuously, reaching out to the hem of Wae's pants.
If it meant being mute and having just a bit of extra work, she would gladly take it over death.
Wae contemplated the offer, wondering what would be his benefit if he were to go with the latter.
Kicking the maid's hand off his pants, he spat and rained profanities at her for being so quick to suggest accepting the offer on his behalf.
"Don't worry about the benefits, I have that taken care of," Hisha assured, ignoring what had transpired.
Freezing the maid in place, he needed the deal made to be just a secret between the two of them.
"I need this to be between the two of us." He joked in a hushed tone with his index finger over his lips.
Snapping his fingers, a floating glowing piece of paper darted toward Wae and spread out in front of him.
Wae stumbled back and fell at being startled by it, getting back to his feet but also skeptical about the blank piece of paper.
"Place your hand on it." Hisha nodded to the paper, trying his best to hide his amusement at knowing what else Wae lacked.
"My lord..."
"It's my way of sealing an unbreakable deal and giving you the benefits of accepting the latter." Hisha shrugged, nodding once more to the paper.
Left with no choice, Wae gulped as he reached out to place his hand on the paper.
"Nnngh!" He let out a low growl as he felt tiny jabs under his palm.
Withdrawing his hand, he stared at his finger in shock but was quick to see tiny blood particles gathering and forming a swirl pattern that brought out the true state of the contract.
Forming into small letters, he watched as they formed the very thing he was lacking–submission, allegiance, and accountability.
Calling back the paper, Hisha burst into a chuckle.
'As expected, it's majorly these two attributes but now I got another to hang on.'
"Would you like to know what these three attributes mean?" Hisha tested with a smirk.
