Another Stupid Isekai

Chapter 174

- Is everybody ok?! Do we have wounded?! - Yelled Hatta.

- I'm hurt, please, help me - Somebody said, I immediately shadow walked to that person and used heal.

He was not the only one, a couple of others also spoke up. I did what I could to help them.

In the background, I saw Blue, and other werewolves transforming back to their human bodies. They were naked, as the clothes given to them got ripped to shreds.

- What the fuck was that? Why did the monsters come? - he asked, looking at first at Hatta, but then at me.

- I don't know, but we should investigate - he answered, and then also rested his eyes on me.

- Don't look at me. I have no idea. This shouldn't happen. This cannot happen... Unless...

- Unless? - asked Mihael.

- Yashasvee'mies, the leader of Bahumdabar's got the device from The Great One. It's his toy. Maybe he can control it? We came to this world somehow. Although the device could pull us, It wouldn't do it by itself - I explained.

- How do you know this? - asked Blue, coming closer.

It made me a bit uncomfortable.

- I bought the manual.

- Manual? You mean that pack of data from the device, right?

- Yes, that.

- How much was that? - he asked, and immediately started walking towards our sapling.

- Ten million and one point.

- You had that many points? - asked Boris, as he came closer.

Overall people started to gather around us. The conversation was too important to ignore.

I didn't answer him verbally, just shrugged my shoulders.

- It's gone - said Blue. - The manual is gone. I can't buy it, I can't even see it.

He was standing by the device. I immediately shadow walked to him, and put my own hand on the ball. I closed my eyes and thought about the manual. The second tome appeared.

- I can see the second tome.

- Second tome? - he asked, then looked again. - I don't see that.

- Let me look - said Will, and put his hand on the sapling. - It's gone, and there is no second tome. I think there was only one to be bought.

- What else do you found out with that manual? - Blue spoke again.

- Many things. To many to just tell you right here, right now.

He sighed.

- Are you sure that this couldn't occur naturally? Maybe we did something or somebody played with this - he pointed at the ball - and did something. Didn't Xuvi do exactly that to the device that belonged to Bahumdabar's?

- Maybe they did this also to ours? - proposed Zora.

- They are all dead - I immediately disagreed.

- Uhm's survived. Maybe some Xuvi also did - argued Blue. - We can't be sure.

- But somebody would notice an alien creature in the middle of the city. Somebody is always here - Hatta pointed out.

- We can argue all day, but we won't find any answers. We should help those who need help, and prepare defenses - said Nobuo. - There are many other monsters all around us.

- If they all come we are dead. We should run - said Will.

- We can't run. We have people who can't walk, and no means of transporting them - Adachi disagreed.

- So because of that we are just supposed to all die here? - was Will's reply.

- We can't survive without the device anyway. Besides who knows if they won't look for us even if we leave. Do you think we can run away from other bosses? I doubt that. Even Peter can't do that - said Blue. - We should hide those who can't fight and prepare for battle ourselves. Maybe that was it, and more of them won't come... Maybe.

- What was The Great One's purpose of giving this thing - Juan pointed at the device - to  Bahumdabar's? Does anybody know?

He immediately looked at me, just like the others.

- I'm not an encyclopedia of local history. You guys had more time to talk with Uhm's than I did. If you don't know, I don't know either. I believe he had his purpose. For example purpose of saplings is to make the users stronger. Maybe The Great One wants an army, and Xuvi ruined his plans for Bahumdabar's. That's why he summoned us here?

- He could use Uhm's, but he instead saved them, and allowed them to leave in peace - Blue pointed out. - Maybe he wasn't behind this at all.

- Then who? - asked Will. - According to Uhm's it was not them. Who else could be here that could do such a thing?

- We have three possibilities. Xuvi, Bahumdabar's, or The Great One - I said.

- The Great One seems to be the most likely culprit. He had to have a goal, and he didn't fulfill it with Bahumdabar's. If he wants an army, that's not a way to make one, so maybe he wants something else? We are now the strongest as we have ever been, and are growing stronger each day. Ruining it seems pointless. We can argue if it was Xuvi, or maybe something entirely different, but as Nobuo said. We won't find any answers, so let's prepare for the battle.

- I'm surprised. I thought you would be the first to run away - I said to him.

- You know very little about me, Peter. We need the device to survive. Running away is pointless, we are surrounded by monsters anyway.

- Let's go to work then - said Hatta. - we already sacrificed so much for his city. Might as well fight for it to the end.

- Well said - Adachi agreed.

- Uh... fuck - Will sighed.

- We should start by gathering other people here. Aisha went back to the Velvet Lotus as she was wounded, and she wasn't the only one - said Boris.

- I'll go for her - said Hailwic. - You guys get the rest.

People started moving. Those unable to fight went to the barracks of Wuxia, and to headquarters or other nearby buildings.

Soon more people were brought to us and sent to safe spots. Blue got some clothes. The rest got proper weapons as Jayadeva brought those from his workshop. He actually entrenched himself there during the fight and delivering everything, quickly returned.

Some time passed. We managed to build barricades around, but there were no signs of enemies coming, so we started discussing sending scouts to check if there really is something to worry about.

As we did the sound of warhorn came from the goblin's territory.. It was a loud noise that shook the entire city.
