Ban nodded to himself and made it another goal to consolidate or stabilize his Rank first before thinking about ascending to the next level.

He checked Eva's status and also told her to do the same thing before trying to ascend. Eva nodded her head while raising her four arms up in the air as if saying that she got it. 

Ban patted her head with a smile as he checked the cooldown of all their [Skills]. 

Aside from the [Skill] Greed, all of his skills are available for use. When he ranked up to F-Apprentice Rank before, all of his available skills had their cooldown time return to zero, aside from Greed as it came from the Transmigrator and not the System. 

It will also be the case if he obtained a [Skill] the normal way. 

Ban almost forgot about it but he also checked the Rogue Red Termite that was healing on his Beast Tattoo. 

As the owner of the tattoo, Ban can see what's happening inside it with just a single thought. 

His consciousness instantly entered inside the Beast Tattoo, and there, Ban could see the Rogue Red Termite lying in one corner, sleeping peacefully. 

He observed its situation and noticed that most of its minor injuries had already healed. There was also a little bump above the wound on its arm that got damaged after knocking Eva's Fluid Release, as well as the usage of its own skill, Bullet Strike. 

Ban estimated that all of its minor injuries will be healed in a day or two, while its broken or cut arms might fully regrow after a week. 

Although he thought that it was living its life inside the Beast Tattoo and even wanted to dispose of it already, he nevertheless trusted Eva that they would have a use for it in the future. 

Ban retrieved his consciousness from the Beast Tattoo and ordered for Eva to transform into her normal form. 

He then took a quick bath before going downstairs to eat, and ask grandpa Kuys about the matter regarding the Elder Monk Tree. 

However, just like what happened yesterday, the moment he was about to step outside a new daily was immediately issued by the System.

Ban still felt shiver upon reading the mission fail punishment part. However, he thought that he didn't need to worry as he was sure of completing the easy daily mission just like yesterday. 

He was able to do it yesterday, why can't he do it now? And besides, a Mission Complete means a random item to be obtained.

Yesterday, he kept thinking about why there are no sit-ups on the daily mission requirements, but when he thought about it now, the System might have purposely made it so due to the injury in his spine. 

Ban could still feel nothing about the injury in his spine but he nevertheless trusted the System on that matter. 

He finally went down the stairs and unlike the other night, only a handful of Adventurers could be seen eating their breakfast peacefully, while some were still feeling groggy due to the amount of alcohol they drank yesterday. 

He went to the counter and greeted Kuys. 

"Good morning too, Ban-kiddo! Did you sleep well after seeing your crush's performance?" Kuys said while handing Ban his breakfast as well as a portion for little Eva to eat. 

Ban ignored a part of what he asked and instead focused on the most important one, "Still the same!"

Although not the same reason, he really did not sleep well the other night. He was so absorbed in chanting the mantra that he forgot about sleeping. Anyways, he did not feel tired as the energy he absorbed from the Beast Core somehow recovered his vigor, almost as though he really slept soundly the previous night. 

"Well, it looks like you will really be doing the Quest I issued for you yesterday. You can go to the Adventurers Guild to accept the Quest after you finish eating."

"Alright…" Ban and Eva focused their attention on eating the delicious porridge in front of them.

Kuys even made another serving for Eva after seeing that she immediately finished the content of the small bow he served earlier. 

"It looks like your Demon Ant is getting healthy, Ban-kiddo!" Kuys commented after seeing Eva's puff cheeks as well as her appearance that looks chubbier than yesterday.

Ban turned his head for a moment and only smiled after seeing Eva's appearance. He did not know the real reason but he thought it might be because of her absorbing the Beast Core that her slim normal form figure became chubbier today.

"I name her Eva!" Ban said after recalling that he still had not introduced Eva to Kuys.

"Eva as in one or first? Good name!" Kuys nodded his head in agreement. 

Ban shrugged his shoulders as he did not know before that the name, 'Eva' had such a meaning. He was only trying to come up a name at random before but he nevertheless felt grateful upon knowing that it actually means first or one. 

Eva was his first Contracted Beast and she's the one who broke his title of being 'freak'. 

He smiled lovingly at Eva who just finished her second bowl of porridge while reaching his hands to pat her head. 

They rested for a moment before Ban thought that it's already time for them to leave. However, Kuys stopped him for a moment as he took a parchment from under the drawer before handing it to Ban.

"Here's a map of the whole city as well as the details of where you can find the Elder Monk Tree. I also already listed the safe and dangerous routes so you won't need to risk your life harvesting it. The only problem was the guardian of the Elder Monk Tree. However, he rarely shows up and I don't think you are unlucky enough to meet him. So just be careful of stray Beasts that might pop out all of a sudden to attack you!"

Ban produced a wry smile after hearing what Kuys had just said.

It was not because of the guardian of the Elder Monk Tree, but it was because of another matter, namely...
