Chapter 516: Three kingdoms (2)

Chapter 516: Three kingdoms (2)

THREE MONTHS AFTER THE HORN IS SOUNDED

THE OUTSIDE OF THE WALL

The sound of chattering filled the vast area. Tents filled the land and campfires can be seen almost everywhere.

It was night, and it was cold like winter. The Darkness enhances the cold. This is known.

The Thirteen Tribes people, when the veil of night comes, they return to their tents, kneels on the ground and pray to their Gods, pray to the Great Lord of the Sky, Asrana Mahava to deliver them from this Evil.

The Seers sings Songs of Judgments and humming sounds could be heard singing along with them, that fills this land with a certain solemnness and a hint of finality.

The Darkly Things are emerging, as even more monsters will awake, dark and dangerous things that sleeps in the darkness will now see the light.

Darkness has come. Vasir is awakening. And the Conqueror must also awaken if humanity is to stand a chance.

When Arial arrived at the Wall, he could see millions of men camping outside the Wall as the Three Great Tribes members keep the order in and on the wall.

It has been three months after the Horn was sounded and Amara tasked him with a quest that derailed Arial from the real reason he came to the New World.

He also lost Ana, his only way to get near the Order of Death. He doesn't know where she is right now.

There is a tint of worries that flashed in his mind, a thought he quickly squashed.

For if she is alive, Arial knows he will found her here. Or maybe she has already passed the Gate.

Arial is sitting on a chair inside his large tent. Servants attend his every need. The tents remind him of the tents of the barbarians he fought in Xenos Desert.

'Haah' he sighed.

The reason why he is late reaching the Wall was because he began amassing his own army as he travels here.

And it all happens because of his meeting with Ragar, his right hand man here in Novus Gaia.

Ragar is without a doubt training the men right now, even as night is descending.

The reason why Arial amass army and trained men is because he knows that a war is brewing in the Shadowlands.

Not many know about what awaited this millions of pilgrims running from the omens of Darkness and Evil.

All the Thirteen Tribes when they passed this Wall of Repentance pray before they enter the large gigantic gate and when they pass, they walked to the Three Kingdoms of the Shadowlands.

This Wall is something sacred for them and each person look at the Wall with a disbelieving expression.

Arial then knows from one of his soldiers who remembers the Old Stories that this Wall was spoken of in tales, and regarded as myths.

But now that the Horns is sounded, the mythical and nonsensical stories these tribes heard when they were little, finally proven itself.

The Wall of Repentance was erected in one night by some great magic.

This Wall affirms their faith and they began following their ancestors teaching again, remembering that they have to offer a prayer and to ask for forgiveness for their sins before entering the Shadowlands.

'Many would pray for their safety' Arial thought to himself when he first arrived and look at the congregation of people passing that Wall Gate.

Considering that after they pass, they will have to live in the chaotic Three Kingdoms of the Shadowlands; one could understand why Arial would think like that.

The Three Tribes that ruled the Shadowlands is Enceladus, Veranians and Lucians. Enceladus founded the Iathus Kingdom.

The Veranians founded the Vernium Kingdom. Lucians tribe founded the Luxermbough kingdom.

They lived near the Godstree and blessed with high strength and reap benefits from hunting the Darkly Things.

So, it was not a surprise that these Three Great tribes control and manned the Wall. The wall itself was gigantic in height and thickness.

It possesses a crystal transparent gate that is twenty feet and with a thickness that is the same.

The Wall emits faint blue light when it is dark and it even could be seen to have some effect to dispel the black miasma.

The Crystal Gate could not be closed unless the formations magic in the center of the Wall is activated.

It is a magnificent Wall that even the Bleeding Wall in Arrandy could not compare.

Arial realizes that while the Thirteen Tribes are primitive in certain matters they are versed in the questions of magic.

Especially blood magic.

One might ask, why did they Three Great Tribes did not monopolize the Shadowlands and close the door when their tribes passed?

Because it is not possible.

Whoever erected this Wall erected it with great construction magic that forces the Thirteen Tribes to all cooperate.

To activate the Closing Formation Magic, it needs thirteen drops of blood from one man from each of the tribe.

And the drop of blood must be given willingly.

If not the crystal gate would then shatter and the chance to halt the darkness from spreading would disappear.

The Three Great Tribes might man the Walls, but they sure as hell do not control the Wall or who can go in or out.

At least what Arial found out is that they are just maintaining appearance.

The people who knows the Old Stories knows that the Three Great Tribes does not have the ability to close the gates without the cooperation of all the other tribes.

Meanwhile, while Arial is having his feet washed by a servant girl, he could not help but marvel at the monopoly the Three Great Tribes has exercised on their reign throughout all of the Novus Gaia.

It truly gained his admiration.

And from the information he got from Ragar who was well versed in the inner workings of the Thirteen Tribes, Arial had quite the understanding of the scope of influence these Three Great Tribes on Shadowlands.

Iathus Kingdom, Vernium Kingdom and the Luxermbough kingdom.

The Three Kingdoms that ruled over the Shadowlands has been in fighting for the past decade after they manage to found their kingdoms, all intending to unify the Shadowlands and find the Ancient Gate.

The Ancient Gate, if the story is to be believed, will open a portal to an Island. An Island where the Godslayer blade is interred.

The Three Great Tribes wanted to pull the blade from the white stone and claim the destiny which has eluded the Thirteen Tribes since their Curse during the Ages of the Gods.

They wanted to steal the Destiny of the Conqueror.
